I don't care who wins, I'm just here for the cheap entertainment.. the cheaper, the better
This site is about the Big Brother 14 feeds and contains spoilers! It isn't necessarily thorough: it's what I catch and/or what interests me, and it isn't necessarily about who will win, who should win, who's cute or who's horrid. It's about watching hamsters: who's doing what and why. If they aren't entertaining, get rid of 'em! Thanks for encouraging my behavior. Your pal, dingo

BB14 FAQ
If you have SuperPass, access mobile feeds by going to real.com/bigbrother on your mobile device's browser. Log in (upper right), select Big Brother, and select Live Feeds from the drop menu. There is no app.

The BB14 untwist resulted in no eviction, and all coaches entering the game. Boogie was the only one who didn't vote to enter. If all had said no, there would have been a hamster revival.

Willie was ejected for head-butting Joe. Threats & verbal attacks are legal - aggressive physical contact is not.

They called pre-show sequester 'convention' or 'knitting convention', and they're calling Diary 'the wizard' or 'dairy queen'.

Ashley revealed they wear earpieces for nominations, at least early on.

CBS shows were Sundays and Wednesdays at 8pm, and live eviction Thursdays at 9pm.

Big Brother After Dark aired midnight to 3am nightly (1am to 4am Thursdays) on Showtime (SHO2) in USA, and on Slice in Canada at various times - check your local listings.

BB14 prizes are the same: $500k for the winner and $50k for 2nd place. The others still earn $750 a week including pre-show hotel and jury sequester. Kara and Jenn may have gotten more.

The coach of the winner would have gotten $100k without the untwist. Returning veterans got $20k to show up, and/or a higher stipend after the untwist.

The habitat has 53 cameras (up one) and 98 microphones (up three).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman.

All feeds stay on one 'scene' when someone's in Diary.

The Glass House premiered June 18 on ABC and ran for 10 episodes. The winner got $250,000 - half the usual BB winning amount. The glass hamsters went into hotel sequester on weekends.

Big Brother Canada premieres February 2013.

And that's that (Wednesday 9/19)

Ian won Part 3 and the final Head of Household, and evicted Danielle.. he and Dan were hit by bitter jurors, and Danielle was as shocked to learn Dan gave his grandfather's cross to Ian as Ian was about Danielle's revelation that she still had a solid F2 deal with Dan

Dan fit some of his rehearsed speech overrun into his answers to juror questions, and Ian's replies came close to harsh after hearing what he'd heard.. the jurors voted almost unanimously for Ian with only Danielle keeping her promise to Dan, and Frank won the $25,000 viewer favorite money

Live backyard intervews came right on time on SuperPass and archives are becoming available Thursday, and they'll have a SoCal wrap party Thursday night, plus one-on-one interviews to come in future.. The end is near

So "The Talk" segment turned out to be five minutes tacked on to the end of their "Survivor" special show, unlike their hour-long BB special on premiere day.. I guess that's fair since season premieres are a network investment and finales are just dessert, but it's kind of odd they don't devote a bit more time & energy to our little show, since daytime Julie transforms to primetime Chenbot for it, and then goes home as Mrs Moonves

The feeds went to trivia early and stayed there for the three remainders to pack, primp, and get pumped up for their big night.. they've done that before on this last day and it wasn't unexpected, but I've added it to the Extracurricular Tally as yet another excessive feeds block for the season

We had an oops between the endless trivia, when a stand-in was caught sitting in for Dan.. I think this is the kind of thing they do on Thursdays when hamsters are in HOH lockdown to ensure camera angles, lighting and timing for the very dicey proposition of doing a live primetime television show with amateurs.. or perhaps Dan's got a new look for tonight

Wrap it up

For me, each BB season is one long continuous day from the premiere to the finale, and it's a relief to see this one come to an end.. while we actually have three worthy finalists here at the end and there was some intriguing gameplay, the little things that make a season memorable were lacking.. my Extracurricular Tally below is very light on fights and unique activities, void of sex events, and heavy on pinkyswears and production problems

The twist was ridiculous: anyone who didn't think coaches would end up players or who believed their $100k bonus was really in the budget should hit me up: I've got a bridge for sale, cheap

Veterans caused problems for me again, mostly because getting to know the hamsters is the big draw for me, but also because they intimidate the newbies and take over the game, the feedmasters focus on them almost exclusively, they warn the newbies about greenlight cameras and avoiding the verbal & visual slips that we love, and last but far from least, they encourage the newbies to flaunt the rules since they know there are no repercussions when they're broken - we're the ones who are punished by fishies.. the feeds also had many glitches like intermittent looping & loading for most, that persisted all season for many, and extremely low volume.. caps were difficult due to horrendously inconsistent and/or bad lighting, particularly in the parlor/arcade which was like a black hole

This season's newbies were even more lackluster than usual, probably due to the has-beens intimidation factor but also because out of 12 fresh faces, only three - Ian, Frank, and Jodi - were fan applicants, and the rest were recruited from dating shows that rejected them, from Facebook, and off the street.. after two disastrous seasons, here's hoping they've learned their lesson and will never again mix experienced hamsters with green noobs.. they NEED to go back to all new hamsters, and I'll take it even further: they should go all superfans or even better, all clueless Shanes who have no idea how it all works.. having them all figure it out as they go, some faster than others, is one of the many things that made the old seasons better than the recent

We had no luxury comps other than three predictable Pandoras; no shopping sprees with new clothes; no movie night promo; no Tori Spellings, David Hasselhoffs, Jeremy Pivens; no hamster alumni hosting comps, masseuses, dancing girls, costumed characters, or any visitors at all beyond a heatstruck Zingbot and a silly burglar we weren't even allowed to watch.. we had no night comps, no Morphomatic, no Technotronics, no mirror ghosts or item-counting or what's been moved or changed, but we did have a lot of other comp reruns, and one field trip with signed cereal souvenirs

The grill came back but season ticket holders were disappointed with only one half-point match - I blame Joe for taming the monster into early submission and/or apathy.. a mouse showed up often in the backyard but like the other newbies, was cowed by the veteran ants and didn't even make an appearance on the feeds.. Team Ants were the real winners as always, taking over the habitat so completely, a few of their soldiers were found frozen in ice cubes, having completed their suicide mission .. the fishies were out of control this year, more so than ever, as The Powers That Be denied us minute after minute, hour after hour of what we paid to watch, yet CBS.com ran their ad all season promising "live/uncensored" feeds - yes, so did I and the other sites, but we have no control over them.. a few fishies died from the over-exposure, demonstrating the one true meaning of the overused and misused BB word "floaters"

Co-Stars of the Season

For the first time ever, I've got two recipients of the (not very) coveted Hamsterwatch Star of the Season award, co-stars if you will.. while Willie was often an ass, he caused one hell of a lot of ruckus from his HOH bed, giving us all high hopes for a fabulous season despite the stoopid twist and has-beens, but the feeds pretty much ground to a halt entertainment-wise when he left.. on the other end of the spectrum and the yard, the new hammock was obviously nothing without Ian's artistry, but the continual rhythms and everlasting new varieties of creaks, moans and squeaks were music to my ears, literally.. alas, even though Ian had it swinging almost vertically at times, his mastery over it was so complete that he never gave us what would have been the mother of all hammock dumps

All in all, not the best season by a long shot but as always, my hat's off to each and every hamster for putting themselves out there for our amusement, and I hope those that find this little website dedicated to their antics like what they see (or at least don't hate it too much)

Huge gratitude to everyone who's visited here over the years, particularly those who made donations (and let me take a moment to subtly point out the Paypal button below, or the Amazon.com banner above - that one helps me a bit without costing you anything extra).. thanks also to all my sister sites and fellow BB tweeters, all my Hamsterwatch Chat regulars, Twitter and Facebook followers, and super big ups to @MissCleoBB14 for insight, great chops & humor, and contraband video like we've never seen before

Ratings - It's a wrap edition

VTW = Voted to win

I often give them a cumulative ups at the end for the finale and the season overall, even with their lousy twists, casts and screwups, but I just can't this time. While it was a very satisfying finale, that was due mostly to the drama between the last three standing and the bitter jury rather than anything The Powers That Be choreographed. I will say Julie looked stunning, classy, and very much the style icon she should be, which made a nice change from a couple of her Thursdays this season. But they used almost one-third of our precious 90 minutes to deliver old news and they cut the juicy stuff down to bare bones, omitting Jodi, Kara and JoJo completely. Not that the CBS show doesn't always have to catch up to the feeds - that's understandable, but that half hour's worth of stuff should have been on the Sunday show rather than the lame convo setups for the Best of BB14 clipdown. I've gone on long enough above about this season in general so I won't dwell on it any longer except to say the enthusiastic support for Ian's win and the $25k going to Frank prove that newbies are what the fans want to see. I wish they'd go back to putting some creative effort into this show and stop just phoning it in, but in the end, it remains our annual summer addiction, and I thank them for that, even though it's closer to crack than Cristal.

TEAM BOOGIE
WON: $504,000, 24 hour dog, veto ball
WINNING VOTE 6-1
He turned the nerdy BB superfan role into an art form and was a fan favorite from the get-go for many, if not most. He was proud of every notch in his BB belt (as he should be), and he stayed loyal to Dan to the end rather than go true renegade and cut him for the cash, but it worked out and he got the cash anyway. He started by wearing a duck on his head, streaking, and kicking himself in the face, but quickly earned feedster love by being Have-not for 3.5 weeks without a gripe, and he made his 24-hour dog's life a joy to behold along with turning hammock into a verb as well as music. He got annoying spouting BB stats and his social skills weren't the best, but he was a top notch hamster in every way and proof that fan applicants are what this show needs.

TEAMIES: Kara, Danielle, Jodi
WON: $50,000, sushi party, 24 hour disco
He started out picking weak players (as if he knew the coaching would end) and he steered his star pupil Danielle to the end. It was comical to watch how easily he manipulated most of them, but it was painful to see him mess with Danielle's emotions to get his way. His funeral and Final Four maneuvers were miracle saves for the books, but his entertainment value was lacking once again. I don't think he checked many things off his activities to-do list and he continued to shout in Diary - unlike Joe, Dan knew better. But he played an impeccable game overall until his cocky got the best of him, and Dan's Mist has now been added to the Big Brother lexicon. I admit I was rooting for Ian but I thank Dan sincerely for his Hamsterwatch and BBQ Smackdown shoutouts.. sorry about that half-pointer.

TEAM DAN
WON: 24 hour shackles, field trip
VTW Dan
She came in with the dumb teacher lie and proceeded to double-, triple- and quadruple-dip like nobody's business. She took self-centeredness to all new heights, and her exaggerating, escalating retells quickly became legendary, resulting in the prematurely cancelled As Danielle's World Turns miniseries here. In a season of blindsides, she took the brunt of most of them thanks to Dan, and her shocked expressions & resulting chops will live online long after this season is forgotten. Her dramatics, mirror antics, excessive pinkyswears, and nomance with Shane would normally be Hamsterwatch Star of the Season material, but no.

TEAM BRITNEY
WON: Veto ticket, field trip
VTW Ian
We got him because 'Bachelorette' didn't want him, and all he knew of BB he saw in hotel sequester. He watched BB13 thru Dominic and he quit BB11 before Final Four, so he didn't fully realize how it really works, and his blindside made for a white-as-a-sheet exit interview. He wasn't the sharpest plastic knife in the drawer, but he stayed patient and even-tempered thru a stolen HOH and many, many hours of Danielle's hot/cold and frigid/scalding. He'll be remembered for repeated offers to pawn himself (especially the one that took), a pastel wardrobe, puka shells, goofy expressions, and peculiar Trump-like hair.

TEAM BOOGIE
WON: $1,000, Hawaii trip
VTW Ian
For weeks she was in the Who? category, prompting me to post Daily Jenn Sightings to remind folks she was still there. She was more visible as the numbers dwindled, but she still isolated herself a lot, with some occasional musician chat to the non-musicians. She made what she termed a BIG MOVE when she veto'd Dan off the block, after burning her clothes and taking slop for three weeks so he wouldn't win the veto - most consider that a dumb move, not a big one. She spent 67 days at summer camp, fell for Dan's Mist like most, and paid for it. She didn't apply to be on the show: they found her on Facebook.

TEAM JANELLE
WON: 24 hour hula hoop
VTW Ian
HE WAS AN ALTERNATE WHO MADE THE CUT. HE WAS OBNOXIOUS FOR AWHILE HE TURNED IT AROUND BY BECOMING COMEDY. HE SHOUTED IN DIARY BUT HE SHOUTED EVERYWHERE AND HIS STORIES MADE TALL TALES LOOK SHORT. HE COOKED ALL THEIR DINNERS AND WASN'T A THREAT TO THE GRILL BUT HIS FOOD HYGIENE NEEDS HELP. HIS CHEAP WEBSITE CRASHED FROM ALL HIS PIMPING BUT I WISH HIM WELL. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON BUT NOBODY LISTENED DESPITE HIS VOLUME. JOE INVENTED BIG BROTHER.

TEAM BOOGIE
WON: $28,341.49, 1 week spiritard, 1 week carrot, green bath, 24 hour chum showers
VTW Ian
He was either HOH or nominated every week and he fought hard to stick. He got a reprieve on reset night, and he escaped walking the plank in the cheertard and the carrot, but he was a good sport with both, as well as his chum showers. He was loud and volatile, featuring in the only two fights of the season, but he cooled off quickly and made it up. He seems like a good guy at heart and he has a fabulous laugh. His famous father was the best kept non-game secret.

TEAMIES: Shane, Willie, JoJo
WON: 1 week safety, 24 hour shackles
VTW Ian
She gamed way too hard as a coach and as a player, but she contributed to Willie's pork rind tantrum so kudos for that. She didn't bring as much comedy as she's capable of but when she did, it was hilarious, including early late nights with Janelle, beating up Ted, and her stellar pre-eviction drunk. It's a shame we didn't get a second season of Just The Tip and that she repeated some of her same mistakes, but she was fun to see again and she'll definitely be missed.

TEAM JANELLE - WON: Nothing
VTW Ian
She was ditzy and kooky, and didn't seem like she knew what show she was on most of the time (which fits, since she landed here after being rejected from a dating show). She had back problems that looked legit, and worked in her favor more than once. She brought a kitty-cat sleep mask, creative counting methods, unicorns and dreamboard strategy, and while she seems like a nice enough girl who would have been a hit in 1967, her monotone voice won't be missed.

TEAMIES: Frank, Ian, Jenn - WON: $16k
He started a bit better this time but degenerated to his old self. His friends in production couldn't save him this time around and he got got. His team survived him but only Frank stuck with him til the end, even though Boogie went for cash rather than working to help him. I'm very relieved to see the back of him for a third and hopefully last time, and I only wish we had a feed for when Dr. Will smacks him upside the head.

TEAM JANELLE - WON: $5,000
He came in with the most entertainment potential we've seen in awhile but other than a few spectacular bursts such as his drunken sushi birthday, he failed to deliver on a regular basis. His Sharon Osbourne was spot-on and so was his Joe, but his quick wit wasn't enough to combat the overall doldrums of the season. He fiddled his hair constantly (like Kaysar), and he pinkyswore Janelle out the door. He starred in two of the three 'The Soup' segments to date, and he'll be missed.

TEAMIES: Wil, Ashley, Joe WON: nothing
She was the first coach casualty but she went quietly, robbing us of an updated 'bye-bye bitches'. She didn't have a Howie or Kaysar to work with (or entertain us) this time, and her teamies either didn't know or didn't care how loyally she plays BB. She had some sippy fun but this cast didn't get her shtick, and she had pork rinds thrown at her and mean girl chatter reminiscent of BB6. She drove the early game but didn't play in any veto comps, and that was a huge loss for the season.

TEAM BRITNEY - WON: nothing
She promised to bring it, but apparently she left it on Staten Island since she failed to fight even when confronted. She talked a lot but it was mostly the same loops over and over: she only gets along with East Coast girls, she's street-smart, she's loyal, and she's loyal, know what I mean? She was scouted via Facebook to get here, and that's where she should have stayed. Now she can get back to modeling and piloxing.

TEAM BRITNEY - WON: nothing
(Possibly forfeited stipend)
He spent two weeks laying in HOH bed, parannoying his brains out even though he was perfectly safe, and his fall from HOH was the hardest we've ever seen. He head-butted himself out the door when he might have been saved by veto, so he'll go into the BB blunders pile. I didn't come in with Hantzophobia so I'm grateful for the cheap entertainment he brought, especially the Froot Loops war and Willieisms like 'key-hos', 'corn-ho', and 'totin' pole'. He's the first hamster to pose for his mug shot while his season was still underway.

TEAM DAN - WON: nothing
She brought a big name and rep to the show but didn't live up to either. She seemed like a nice enough girl but she didn't bring much to the feeds, and her sister wife wardrobe greatly disappointed her pre-existing fanbase. She'll be remembered for extra shiny knees and little else - she didn't even campaign to stay.

TEAM DAN, for a minute - WON: nothing
Most were looking forward to seeing what she'd bring, but she got a raw deal and was gone before the feeds even kicked on. She'd said she was worried about lack of privacy & sleep, missing her family, and slop, so maybe BB wasn't for her, and she got away without airing any dirty laundry. It had to be humiliating to go back in for the group bikini pic but that's how they do things.

NEWS & UPDATES

Big Brother has officially been renewed for its 15th season next summer. Big Brother Canada's debut season premieres in February.

Producers will award the $25k viewer favorite to their choice - your free online votes just up their traffic so they can charge higher advertising rates across all of CBS.com. However if you must vote on this poll, I fully endorse Ian! With some backup votes for Jodi, if Ian ends up in the Final Two! She got royally screwed by BB but has been a great sport about it, and very funny and personable on Twitter. Frank is the only other fan applicant this season, but Jodi's dreams of hamsterdom were shattered before she even had a chance to start.

Remember on the premiere when Julie announced a $100k prize for the coach whose player won the season? Yeah, that $100k.

BB Australia ran from August 12 to November 7, and was won by Benjamin Norris, Australia's first openly gay winner. Like UK BB and UK Celeb BB, it didn't have feeds anymore, but see Links of the Day for quick videos of air shows and related talk shows for all of them.

Final three and juror Twitters are @TulaneTerry, @DanGheesling, @DanielleAlexisM, @shanemeaney, @msjenncity, @ChefArvin, @Frankeudy, @britney_haynes, @ashleyiocco
Evictee/ejectee Twitters are @WilHeuser, @JanellePierzina, @JoJoDoll1, @HantzBB, @KaraMonaco, @Jodisbox
Imposters are out there - these are the real ones. See my Linkage tab above or my Twitter list for more former hamster Twitters from all seasons.

You can still rewatch BB14 and BB13 feeds with Flashback on SuperPass, plus they continue to generate lots of original Big Brother and other reality content. A three-month subscription is $39.99 (or $14.99 for a montly subscription) and includes Flashback, mobile for iPhone, iPad, and Android phones, and $10 worth of free music every month: sign up now so you don't miss a thing!
