I don't care who wins, I'm just here for the cheap entertainment.. the cheaper, the better
This site is about the Big Brother 15 feeds and contains spoilers! It isn't necessarily thorough: it's what I catch and/or what interests me, and it isn't necessarily about who will win, who should win, who's cute or who's horrid. It's about watching hamsters: who's doing what and why. If they aren't entertaining, get rid of 'em! Thanks for encouraging my behavior. Your pal, dingo

Call 877-211-4367 for account help including password reset or to cancel subscription.

CBS shows are Sundays 8pm, Wednesdays 8pm, eviction Thursdays 9pm (changed from Tuesdays, live Wednesdays, Sundays).

Big Brother After Dark is on TVGN for two hours every night starting at midnight/9pm BB time (1 hour later Thursdays), and is censored. Beginning July 19, BBAD runs three hours on Fridays.

Canada runs the TV episodes on Global, and After Dark on Slice, uncensored.

Jury will be nine members, with two finalists.

Weeks 1, 2, 3: The MVP (Elissa) selected the third nominee, privately, and she didn't have to tell anyone she was MVP. If the MVP's nominee won veto, MVP selected the replacement.

Weeks 4, 5, 6: The MVP vote was to name the third nominee directly. If the viewer pick was HOH or and HOH nominee, the third nominee spot went to next highest vote getter.

BB15 prizes are the same: $500k for the winner and $50k for 2nd place. Stipend for the others is $1,000 per week (up from $750), including pre-show hotel and jury sequester. Elissa gets more.

The habitat has 65 cameras (up 12) and 98 microphones (same).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman.

Dingo's day off (Sunday 8/11)

Sorry, but it's my first in almost two months.. also, Breaking Bad, bitch

Don't do it, Jessie (Saturday 8/10)

Some might be hoping Jessie was going in for the kill here but not to worry, she was only reaching for Aaryn's new braids - I think

Most of their day was spent lying around waiting for the veto comp, whispering & strategizing over long-decided plans, gossiping and goofing.. Helen continued her heavy shmoozing rounds, like she does.. GinaMarie put braids in her hair and topped off the new look with a pink bandana to cover the bad braid tops and to channel Christina.. Aaryn asked if she'd braid her as well, so the uniform trend carried on with those two.. later they transformed into Poopy Smalls and G-Unit (their names, not mine) and did some impromptu raps about their fellow hamsters.. Amanda joined in, and it was better than it should have been, but far from as good as it could have been

The above pic is just a joke, but I am starting to see a trend lately.. whether inspired by my little Game of Keys ratings recently or the fact that Judd's eviction was the reality equivalent of the Red Wedding, the habitat does seem to be leaning more in a Game of Thrones direction - we've had a lot of disembodied heads over the last few days.. Rachel is coming

Remember, you don't have to take my word for any of this: get the feeds to watch everything unfold as it happens.. you can click "previous Hamsterwatch episode" at the top of any page to see what came before, and feel free to click the Amazon.com banner up there for any of your Amazon purchases anytime

Andy holds his veto

Fresh after his first comp win, Andy got his second when he won the veto, and added a whole lot of new celebratory caps to the #AndyHoldingThings hashtag game plus fodder for @IdolKnights' gallery.. for a guy who was complaining the other day he wasn't getting many Diary calls so likely not much CBS time, he has stepped it up in a big way

It was the stay or fold counting things comp with a monster theme, and they got BLOOD! BOLTS! BANDAGES! shirts with Dracula, Frankenstein, and Mummy.. Jessie was bummed after, but I don't think she's aware of exactly how big a problem she has now

Amanda & McCrae took a bubblebath in Andy's bathtub and had yet another of their spats that are coming along pretty regularly lately.. GinaMarie, Jessie, Andy, Helen, and Spencer played a game of Hot Potato that made a few feedsters giddy with glee.. Elissa joined, and they kept playing for a very long time before moving on to Simon Says, while Amanda & McCrae continued to hash things out upstairs

A small booze delivery livened things up slightly: all but Aaryn & Amanda examined and goofed on their photo wall pics and then played round-the-table memory/drinking games.. it was nice seeing McCrae upright and participating with the others again, but Amanda eventually came out of Diary and sucked the lifeforce back out of him.. drunken Andy held court with stories for awhile.. it was a casual night for the most part, and they had some laughs

Holy Mackerel (Friday 8/9)

We lost Helen for awhile during a lively backyard chat.. some of us had a similar reaction after realizing there are nine of them left with 40 days to go compared to last year on this day, Day 50, when there were eight of them with 25 days to go.. also, on BB14 Day 50, Frank got chummed and became a carrot, and Dan went into the funeral planning business in his Solitary Dance Party

Have-nots got mung beans and mackerel, so that vote wasn't forgotten after all.. despite the artfully arranged reveal, there wasn't much mackerel in the pantry and Helen made a big deal of the fact that one package was marked $42.. directions on the packaged mung beans said to add butter, but Have-nots can't have butter

Aaryn repeated some of her loops, saying Candice slandered her name by calling her a racist and how some of that will stick to Aaryn.. she also said Candice won't be able to get a job after this, and the irony rages on.. Aaryn & GinaMarie dressed alike last night and continued today - maybe the BB Blonde Bunnies will wear uniforms for the duration

Andy's pre-nom meetings were pretty similar to each other and all season's for that matter, at least the ones I saw, and mostly repetitious of last night's discussions and many previously.. McCrae's meeting had a bonus section with both he & Andy saying how much they'll regret booting Judd if (ahem, when) they find out he wasn't MVP.. Andy put up Jessie & Spencer, with the plan of Spencer as pawn again and GinaMarie as the renom if needed, and they all said he did great for his first game speech.. McCrae said he drew Aaryn's key and said "Poopy, you're safe" and they didn't make them redo

The inevitable psst pssting took place all around, like it does, but otherwise it was a pretty quiet night.. Amanda & McCrae discussed many baby names for a very long time with various others - it was cuter and funnier than it sounds.. my favorite was Don Wollman Olson (say it aloud) - Mr Wollman is the EP who doubles as the voice of BB for their recorded announcements

Andy seems to have put a plan in place to put a wedge between Spencer & McCrae - I don't know if he did that in cahoots with Helen or if he's going rogue.. Amanda pitched to McCrae the idea of getting Andy to backdoor Helen, but McCrae said Andy would never go for it (expect further loops on that this week).. GinaMarie was uncharacteristically quiet and subdued, and there were several convos by others about her eating habits and speculation about an eating disorder.. I've taken to translating #Helenspeak in some tweets for fun, à la #Shelleyspeak - that'll probably get annoying but I don't have much else to work with

0

Daily rabies report, a novel

When I tweeted the above comparisons of this Day 50 to last year's, my replies were mostly about what a great season that had been (at the time, most were saying it was the worst ever), and how people wish that kind of strategy was in play this year (apparently forgetting that Dan only planned his funeral to save himself - nobody's in jeopardy now except Jessie).. never mind details like the funeral was Day 51 - this day had Dan sleeping to an annoying disco music loop

BB viewers' perceptions and memories can be fluid and fickle: some hamsters who were hated on feeds are adored when they get out.. we've always had thoughtless comments, tasteless & offensive jokes, questionable morals and graphic sex chat on the feeds, but never at the rapid pace and gutter level this cast keeps spewing out that kind of thing, nor by so many at once

Naturally that kind of thing comes with the territory and so do strong reactions to it, and this year's "fan" reactions have escalated in intensity in step with the offenses in the habitat.. an EW article today cited General Sentiment, a leading social analytics firm, regarding the #BB15 online buzz: "Big Brother has experienced huge spurts of social chatter... but while there is high volume, it tends to be extremely negative"

Much of that negative online activity is sent directly to feeds updaters like myself, and I deactivated my Facebook this morning because of it.. for many years, I'd been posting the same updates to my Twitter and Facebook, and they often inspire negative or hateful responses about this hamster or that one for any update ranging from a little joke or goony cap to serious gametalk and hate speech quotes.. since those replies are in a semi-public forum on Facebook (and cannot be turned off anymore), one negative poster inspires another to add their own ugly two cents, and pretty soon it's a free-for-all slinging mud at the hamsters and each other.. you've all seen it happen on many if not most BB sites, including CBS.com - rabies is highly contagious, you know

Don't get me wrong, many of my Facebook replies were fun and positive, but it was taking me far too much time and attention to keep combing through them all to delete the offensive ones than I could afford to spare.. so despite many, many requests that people post their houseguest hating on their own Facebook pages rather than spewing it on mine, I finally had enough after the double eviction reactions, and I deactivated the page

When I post a feeds update on Twitter, I usually get negative replies about how much the senders hate (fill in the blank) - between them all, they hate everything, but few see Twitter replies sent to me unless they seek them out, so those don't spread the BB rabies so much.. but it's difficult for me to continue listening and reporting on the feeds, let alone try to have some fun with them, when so much on the feeds is already negative, bitchy, and sprinkled with bigotry without having a constant stream of negativity coming at me on top of it.. people say ignore it, don't read the replies or comments, and sometimes I don't, but I like the positive, fun and funny responses, and I like hearing from friends and discovering new ones, so it's a slippery slope.. I also understand how frustrating feed watching can be (do I ever!), and I don't usually block a follower for one isolated outburst that happened to come my way

So long story short, my Facebook friends can get the same udpates I posted there by following me on Twitter or reading my tweets on the right sidebar of this site, and/or they can join any number of other Facebook BB pages, many of which have no problem with negative posters

Bigotgate oozed farther beyond our insulated BB world more than any prior scandal, going all the way to TMZ, CNN, The New York Times, and international news & media outlets. Aaryn Gries and GinaMarie Zimmerman were fired from real world jobs as a result of bigoted remarks on the BB15 feeds, Aaryn from two modeling contracts and GinaMarie from her pageant company. Spencer was investigated by local law enforcement for his bad joke, and his employer Union Pacific issued two statements about him. (Spencer is a union employee.)

Evel Dick Donato's Dick at Night show is back this summer on Vimeo, and he'll have special guests, former hamsters, plus a Catladies Corner segment with @Clio_the_Leo and @Catvanzyl!

Jeff Schroeder will be on The Bold and the Beautiful on August 27. Hayden Moss is on the next Survivor, and Rachel & Brendon will return to The Amazing Race.

Big Brother Canada has begun accepting cast applications for its second season. Big Brother Australia started up again July 29, and Big Brother UK kicked off June 13.

LINES OF THE DAY

Saturday
Andy to Amanda/McCrae about GinaMarie: Are you the most deserving person to be here? no.. GinaMarie & Elissa both fall into that camp

Spencer: If I was Poseidon, I'd have fuckin manatees around me constantly

McCrae: Did anyone negotiate their stipend?
Elissa, joking: I did, I was like I'm not doing the show unless you guys pay me at least like 10 grand a week
McCrae: You didn't negotiate your stipend?
Elissa: Yeah, of course.. -cut to fishies

Elissa: They let you shave in the sink, so why not put your feet in the bathtub?

Jessie: Worse competition ever

Andy: Just this week I went up 200% in comp wins!

Jessie: Sometimes I'll go on Pinterest and find a recipe, and then I'll go to the store and make the recipe

Friday
Andy to Amanda: The people who splinter off are the people who go home, like Judd

McCrae about Judd: If I come out of this house and I see that he was not MVP those three weeks..
Andy: And he was being totally loyal to us?
McCrae: Yeah, I will fuckin die

Amanda to Aaryn: It's imperative that Jessie leave this week, and it's imperative that Helen leaves next week

Jessie: Can you sleep in the color room tonight?
Spencer: Why?
Jessie: It's so lonely in there
McCrae: Bow-chicka-bow-wow
