Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 37 - Thursday 7/25/19

Kat told Christie about Nick telling Jackson that Christie was targeting him (Jackson) "because he treats women badly," and said that ruined her own plan to go after Jackson, and now she "has to get rid of him [Nick]". Christie responded with her usual barrage of words, retells, her power, past history, and the like. Christie started her retell rounds right away, and encouraged Analyse to go for the HOH. Kat broke down crying because "someone" (Jackson) yelled at her and was mean, and she was tired of getting yelled at every day. The yelling wasn't on feeds but retells indicated it was kicked off by a spritz of Febreze by Kat in Camp Have-not in the middle of the night. Tommy and then Jack consoled her. Christie's damage control rounds continued as she spewed anti-Nick words and embellishments to whoever she could corner. Chaos ensued all over, like it does. Feeds went down earlier than usual, around 2pm, leading to all kinds of speculation out here, most of it revolving around Jackson.

Bella was evicted 8-2, with Nick and Sam the dissenting votes. Kat had the Line of the Day when she sat down down vote, with "I vote to evict Michie." Bella gave a great speech but it didn't help. Nick broke down with Sam as she was making her exit, and she teared up after seeing her farewells, especially Nick's.

The big news is tonight's HOH comp will be on the feeds - Get them to watch it live!

Julie sent them out to their comp, titled Pose in Ivy. They had to hold onto "vines" with separate handholds and footholds which were free-swinging, as well as being separately raised and lowered from above. Jessica came off during the commercial break, and Nicole came off as the credits rolled. Nicole also caused Julie to give them a cussing warning while still on the air. They had a few hot pink paint blasts, and "leaf" flutter rained down on them a few times. Most of them looked like some bizarre nightmare Cirque du Soleil and the reason for the comp title quickly became apparent. Sam came off at 12 minutes after doing a horizontal plank he couldn't recover from. The next outs and approximate times were were Christie at 15 minutes, Nick at 16 minutes, Jack at 26 minutes, and Tommy at 39 minutes. And then things got serious.

Although they didn't say it aloud, Kat and Jackson were in a grudge match after the dramatic start to the day, and Holly and Analyse kept in there. Jackson had the foothold cables wrapped around each leg so he didn't get into the kooky arabesques but instead he held steady by using his arms and upper body. He peed himself at about the one hour point, and finally came off at around an hour and a half. Kat dropped right after him, winning their grudge match if not the HOH. Holly and Analyse stayed up until just shy of two hours and 20 minutes when Analyse dropped, and Holly won. The peanut gallery had all been pretty good cheerleaders throughout which was nice. When they ran over to congratulate Holly and Analyse, Analyse griped to Christie that Holly had said she'd drop and give it to Analyse, and then she didn't. Analyse later griped to Kat about that. Tommy and Christie drew the Poison Ivy cards for a task or punishment when they came off, but it wasn't stated yet what that would entail.

Have-nots didn't have to wait til midnight to eat, and they happily hosed off the pink goo in hot showers and dove into pizzas. Jackson happily carved up his watermelons, eating them and everything else in sight. He also applied deodorant liberally to his crotch after showering, and then to his armpits.

Holly hollered who wants to see her HOH room around 12.40am but nobody heard, and she had to go find them all to holler again. They all trooped up to coo over her goodies which included artichokes, beets, clam chowder, cashews, a horsehair keychain, sweats, red wine, the usual assortment of cereals and junk food, and music by Tim McGraw. Her letter was from her mom and dad, and she choked up for parts of it and laughed for others. She got family pics but did not get a picture of her dog Jackson.

Day 38 - Friday 7/26/19

Sam stood coincidentally and ironically next to the NOMINATIONS TODAY sign - ironically as he and Nick will almost surely go on the block. Holly held a few pre-noms one-on-ones that included Sam, Cliff, Nicole, Tommy, Kat, with all of them shmoozing all the way. Holly talked more during hers than many HOHs, once again describing her family and their ranch and the like, rather than letting the hamsters run their mouths to gather intel. But in this season of blabbermouths, there isn't a lot of intel to spill that isn't already known by everyone. Tommy told her he didn't necessarily agree with Christie about "fearing" the Jacks going forward, as Holly and Analyse proved their comp worth last night, but he added he was all about the Six and loyalty. Holly said her Reasons for Nick and Sam would be that they were the 2 in the 8-2 vote, and she told Analyse that Nicole would be the likely/only "backdoor option" (meaning renom option, but that bit of BB semantics has become as much of a losing battle as "floater" is).

After a lengthy group theology convo with Sam and Christie doing most of the talking, Sam went back for another round with Holly, and he pitched some religious parallel where she'd be Pontius Pilate and he'd be crucified if she nominated him, or something like that. Holly kept saying she still didn't know what she was going to do (she did), and Sam reported back to Nick and seemed to think it might work (no). Tommy and Christie were called to Diary and were gone for over an hour. Their Poison Ivy reveal was blocked from feeds but it sounded like most of their away time was costume fittings and having their rash blotches professionally spray-painted on. They weren't shackled and didn't have any hourly tasks or other repercussions besides the costumes and rashes. They did say they couldn't shower, and Christie said a few times she couldn't go outside but I don't know if that was a requirement, or just that the sun or pool water or sweat could affect their blotches. Later they got deer blankets plus shorts and shirts with their names, but they spelled Christie's name wrong: Christy, like press pics have had her all season.

Holly nominated Nick and Sam, as planned and expected. Feeds came back to hugs and professions of love all around. Nick repeated to Kat what he'd been saying before noms, that he'd created a perfect alliance of eight and he shouldn't have second-guessed or gone behind their backs so early, and that he'd heard she knew about the vote flip last week. She denied knowing about it, and she said it was weird people were saying that. Nick added that he felt bad for Sam since he was innocent and had been brought down by Nick.

Holly came out with a card and called them to the living room around 10pm. She read there would be three Have-nots this week, and they'd be the first outs in last night's comp: Jessica, Nicole, Sam. The others immediately jumped in to tell them about slop ideas, which Camp Have-not beds were best, and Jackson described the digestive properties of slop in great detail. He also told them to ask whatever questions they might have and not assume anything incorrectly, adding "take a bite of food, get a penalty nom." Viewers rolled our collective eyes all the way to the habitat and back for that one.

I'm not expecting much "important" to happen until we have a veto winner, but we'll see what they get up to.

Day 39 - Saturday 7/27/19

Christie's anti-Jackson campaign was derailed by Holly winning the HOH, so she switched over to an anti-Sam campaign. She bashed him to the Jacks, bringing up his house meeting and other crimes. They were receptive, and Jackson belittled Sam's reaction to cold showers, the Have-not beds, and slop - irony at its finest. Jackson was called to Diary, Analyse and Holly joined, and Christie carried on, escalating and embellishing all the way. Jack said Nicole wasn't even part of the show and wondered why she applied. Holly repeated what she'd said before noms, that Nicole was "in the back of her mind" for a renom, if needed. Later Nicole told Sam she'd heard he threw her name out to the Six. He said no, he'd said Jessica, then backtracked to say he'd just named off everyone who wasn't in the Six. Nicole said she'd give him a sassy farewell message if he stays on the block but if he goes, he should know she loves him and it'd be just for fun.

It seems a lot of folks missed the fact that Holly and Jackson are no longer broken up. Between his many meals, snacks, and foraging sessions, they've been snuggling, making out, showering and sleeping together, and he gave her a long massage last night along with popping her back zits. Also last night, Kat remained annoyed that Nick had said she knew about the potential "blueberry pancakes" plan to flip the Cliff/Nicole vote, and that Nicole had told him. She reported to Holly that Jessica had told her about all that. She also told Holly about the Cliff's Angels alliance, and asked her not to tell Jackson or the others, and they added another pinkyswear to the tally about that.

Cliff, Jessica, Tommy were picked to play veto along with Holly, Nick, Sam, with Jack hosting unless a guest comes in to boot him from that task. Cliff told Sam and Nick he'd go for the win, but agreed to their request to throw it to Nick if he could do so without being obvious, and he agreed. Sam said if he's going anyway, he'd just as soon go home now to his wife and kids than rot in jury all those weeks. Cliff said he'd tell the Six he'd go hard for the win, and that he'd get tape for his calf to help that. He then reported to the HOH crew that he was asked to take Nick off if he [Cliff] wins, instead of Sam, but he did not tell them about the throwing request/agreement. Tommy announced they'd do his flash mob dance Monday at 6pm, and he and Kat did a quick run-through of the steps he'd shown them a few weeks back. He also spelled out a time and date reminder on the dining table with candies or something.

Jackson went through the kitchen and pantry and tossed out a bunch of food he said was spoiled, narrating as he went. Later he brought a rolling pin to HOH and told Holly to lay down, with a big grin. He then proceeded to roll it on her sore thighs, back, hips and butt, with excruciating closeups by the feedmasters. After that he laid down with the rolling pin, sniffing and kissing it. Yep. Elsewhere it was another long, long afternoon waiting around for their veto comp. Kat and Tommy did some extreme stretching which both of them enjoyed, especially Kat. Jessica criticized BB16 Victoria's game and lack of. Analyse talked some game to Christie, including how much she "really really really" trusted Sam, plus a lot of anti-Nicole stuff, and then the two of them played blow-the-feather.

Feeds went down 6.20pm and were only down a couple hours. When they returned, Nick had won the veto. Competitors were dressed in hayseed outfits, some with tutus, and Jack was in a Little Bo Beep ensemble complete with pink bonnet, puffy sleeves, and crook. The comp was called Counting Sheep and it was athletic, which pleased Nick. They went in pairs for elimination rounds, chasing and grabbing numbered sheep and putting them behind gates. There were also guest farm animals and a dog. Holly told Jackson if she put up Nicole, she'd be her target, but if she put up a pawn it'd probably be Kat, who'd actually volunteered if everyone would give their word she'd be safe. Nick was thrilled and gave a long series of shoutouts to the feeds, and Holly discussed her allergies ad nauseum both before and after the comp. She was especially perturbed about Christie apparently bringing in one of the blankets that had touched hay, and "shaking it all over." She griped to Jackson about this, but not to Christie. The Six met in HOH and discussed the options, with Christie reminding them she has a power. Analyse reported the news to Sam and told him to suggest Kat or Nicole if Holly asks for his suggestions.

Analyse watched Nicole on the HOH spyscreen and bashed her to Holly, saying she couldn't figure out why she was there, "they didn't just cast her to be the quirky one, like she's better than that, right?" Holly said "being quirky and a superfan doesn't mean she's a genius or an athlete." Others joined including Kat, who left with her usual "don't be conspiring against me," and Analyse said Kat's nice, "but if she says conspire one more time, I'm gonna slit her throat." Then she said she's not mean and doesn't like to talk shit about people, and Jack and Jackson reminded her what she'd just said about Kat. There were some indications they'd been given booze during the comp. Holly was DQ'd in one round and Tommy in another, and they said Tommy's probably wouldn't be aired as it would look like animal cruelty. Jackson in particular was acting oddly. He entered HOH like a spy with outstretched finger pistol, he did a swan dive/bellyflop onto the bed, he did a very long series of very loud animal noises, and was generally loony. He also told them he'd tell them a story about a goat during the next lockdown (when feeds are off), which instantly gave us very bad flashbacks to BB18 Corey. Jack and Christie plus Analyse told Sam he might be okay if he stays friendly with everyone, depending who goes up as renom.

Day 40 - Sunday 7/28/19

Sam ran his nominee speech for Cliff before most of the others were up. It sounded more or less like a rerun of his house meeting, that he was only guilty by association. Jack told Analyse and Tommy he couldn't get out of bed (morning wood) and when he finally did, he had to cover his junk and told the camera to stop following him. Christie talked to Analyse about her paranoia and stress because she'd talked about Jackson. Analyse told her she doesn't fully trust Tommy - that may have been Analyse's death warrant. We'll see. Jack and Jackson were excited about discovering some new technique with the sex stool they'd installed in the HOH shower. Sam told Analyse he'd wait til after veto meeting to see who he's up against before doing any campaigning, and to avoid namedropping suggestions (that last bit was suggested to him by Christie).

Christie and Tommy went off for another airbrush/spraypaint session for an hour or so, and came back announcing their new "poison ivy treatment" - hot pink all over except for goggles, meant to be calamine lotion. Speaking of rashes, Holly complained that hers has come back. (I wonder if she knows Jackson slathers his area with deodorant.) Tommy then gathered everyone together to go over the steps for his flash mob dance. After a few rounds, Tommy suddenly didn't feel well and said he could taste the paint in his throat. The flash mob dance might be postponed from its scheduled 6pm Monday time as a result. The backyard finally opened and Tommy and Christie realized the worst part of their costume task was they weren't allowed to go outside. The two of them laid in the lounge and discussed options to target Holly and Jackson sooner or later, depending who Holly puts up as renom.

Kat told Holly "don't tell anyone" but Christie and Tommy were adamant last week about not going to Final Six with all couples, and she and Tommy had talked about teaming up with Kat, Cliff, Jessica, Nicole. Kat added "but now that just kinda fizzled," and she said it seemed like there was now something between Tommy and Nick. Christie and Tommy shmoozed Nicole about the game, her place in it, and her self doubts, and Christie said Nicole didn't have to tell anyone who she'd put up if she was HOH if they asked. Christie also said she herself was a "free agent" who wasn't embedded with any group. Nicole said Christie can say that but if Nicole does, she's called "sketchy." At the same time, Jackson dissed Christie to Jack, and said she was becoming a leaky hole in their ship. Sam campaigned to Holly, and said he's distanced himself from Nick to prove to everyone they aren't close in the game. (In other words, Sam acknowledged they'd separated for appearances.) He also said Nicole had been playing both sides by telling the Six everything Nick and Bella said. Holly said it was true though (therefore pointing out Nicole had helped Holly's side.)

Nicole joined Holly and Sam for some prime awkwardness, and when Sam finally left Nicole told Holly she appreciated them keeping her the other week, she was loyal, and they did another rehash of everything Bella and Nick. Kat told Christie everyone kept asking her if she was okay when she was fine. Christie told her she thought Holly, Jackson, Jack wanted to keep Sam and she didn't know why. She said Nicole was not a threat and never would be, but Kat would probably go over Sam. She added if Holly puts up Nicole, it'd be because she wanted Sam to go, and "they have a deal, I'm telling you." That's the opposite of what Holly had been saying as far as Sam versus Kat, but combined with Holly's lack of a decision as of midnight, all that could send Kat into another spiral of paranoia and tears if she does end up on the block, which is where we came in when feeds began in June. Christie later told Cliff she thought something was up because Jack had been avoiding her, and she hadn't talked to him in three days. Jackson approached Cliff with a formal offer to work with him and Holly, saying there were people in the Six he couldn't go to the end with. Cliff agreed, and he also agreed (at Jackson's request) that he wouldn't tell anyone else, or even talk to Holly about it.

Holly was in Diary forever and I still don't know if she'll put up Nicole or Kat - we'll find out tomorrow.

Noms count: original/renom

Sunday's show had a segment with Jackson being an ass to Kat, but didn't point out some or all of that was weeks ago, nor that the two of them had been an item before he dumped her to get a second notch on his BB belt with Holly. I don't know why they omitted him peeing on the HOH apparatus. They wouldn't have had to show the stream itself - his whining about having to pee and then the peanut gallery going nuts when he did would have been enough. That's the kind of thing that's memorable and talked about. Baby steps though, baby steps.

She seemed promising in her pre-season interviews but it turned out she hadn't really done the homework recruits should do, and she was quickly in over her head. She blabbed about most every convo she had, and she blew up alliances almost as soon as they were formed. But along the way she mixed and drank gross concoctions including hot dog water and mayo, she told some funny stories and some sad ones, and she and Nick fell in love (once she finally got him to stop lusting for Analyse).

Won: Revival to Camp Comeback Day 23
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0

She was targeted by Jack and Jackson for no reason we know of, other than naming them as potential nominees in the first days. From then on they were obsessed with her, spreading that obsessive hate to their teamies, and it was so stupid it would have been comical if it weren't so ugly. She kept it classy despite all that, and it's good she had Nicole as a sounding board (and genuine friend) to vent her frustrations. I just wish she and Kat didn't hate each other as they would have made a superb comedy duo.

Won: Whacktivity 1 Nightmare (unused); Revival to Camp Comeback Day 15
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1 - HN 0

He was a prime example of BB book smarts not necessarily equating to BB street smarts, and he didn't help himself any by being too loud and busy, nor by snitching on alliances to those same alliance members. Analyse accused him of being creepy with her but there was no evidence of that. He's done great things out here and will undoubtedly do more, so it was probably for the best that he got out of that snakepit sooner than later.

Won: First 2 weeks in sequester; Revival to Camp Comeback Day 15
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

He got the rawest of BB deals, the first night boot, and then he was locked in a hotel room for two more weeks. He showed a quick and accurate read on everything when he re-entered the habitat and was probably the only one of the Comebackers with potential to do some real damage if he'd won the comp to re-enter the game, but it wasn't to be. His and Kat's flirtation was fun to watch. He could and should have been a contender but instead he got the boot twice, and without any noms or votes to evict.

Big Brother 21 SEASON FAQ
Day 1 Move-in was June 19
Day 7 CBS premiere was June 25
Day 8 Feeds began June 26
Day 99 Finale is September 25

Feeds are streamed by CBS, and Flashback is accessible via All Access subscription. Call 888-274-5343 for account help, including cancellation.

*Effective July 10* Air shows on CBS (Global in Canada) are Sundays 8pm, Wednesdays 9pm, eviction Thursdays 9pm.

Big Brother After Dark on Pop TV will be every night midnight to 3am (an hour later on Wednesdays and Thursdays). The aired blocks are live (or recorded earlier the same night, depending on your cable provider).

The CBS app (by CBS Interactive) plays BB air shows and other CBS shows, as well as feeds, or you can use your browser to watch feeds on mobile devices. The same All Access link used to subscribe will lead to the feeds viewing page if you're already signed up.

BB21 finalist prizes are the same: $500k for the winner and (probably still) $50k for 2nd place. Stipend for the others to be confirmed if/when they mention it on feeds.

The habitat has 94 HD cameras (no change) and 113 microphones (no change).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman. He and Julie Chen are the only staffers who have been there since Big Brother 1.
