Daily Feeds RecapsDay 72 - Thursday 8/29/19Thursdays mean primping hamsters but they're also about cleansing the habitat. Tommy did surgery on the vacuum to remove hamster hair and stunt hair so it'd work better but when it did, it stunk. Along with the usual debris, they figured it was probably extra bad due to decomposing pie parts. Tommy said it smelled like, and was as bad as, his "speed of smell" task. A house meeting was called, which Jessica wanted to do yesterday, to discuss extra toothbrushes laying around everywhere but it didn't really come together. Nick, resigned to leaving, said "they're calling a house meeting." He'd made some noises earlier to Holly and Jackson about not going out with a bang in case there was a battle-back.Overnight pie signals happened, with a call at 2.27am for each of the three to make two pies each, one for themselves and one for each other. They did those, and that was followed by another call for one each to surprise someone. Cliff got Tommy and Jessica got Christie - both had gotten up for the first pies and were not surprised. Nicole wanted to get Nick but he refused, and she tried to signal Jackson in the spyscreen but he was asleep, so Nicole "surprised" Cliff. (Thanks @cheryld65 for the heads-up about this!) HOH comp will be live on feeds tonight! Click to watch it play out live The show was a lot of recaps as always, plus Nicole vs Jackson pie wars, mirror clowns, Nicole's solo scare show, gametalk of course, and a jury house segment. Nick was evicted unanimously and fortunately he did not hump Julie. Julie announced that Prank Week was "officially over but the scares have just begun" and she sent them out to their HOH comp. She told us next week will be a double eviction. The comp was a wall endurance titled Hold On Fright in a BB Haunted House setting. It looked great, complete with a rushing river illusion and rolling mist, and a few scary clown props. Before the end of the show, they got pelted with cold rain and slammed with flying cloth ghosts, and later they got sudden icy blasts in their faces. The comp began at 6.53pm, the feeds came on at 7.03pm, and drops were as follows: Jessica 7.16pm (she came down hard), Cliff 7.34pm, Christie 7.35pm, Nicole 7.41pm (she sobbed), and Tommy dropped at 7.49pm giving Jackson another win just shy of one hour. Holly posed, twirled her hair, and griped about the mist. Later he (with Holly) told Cliff and Nicole their final four was solid, and he told Cliff he'd wanted to throw it to Nicole but after she dropped, he couldn't let Tommy win. He also said it wasn't "a good look" winning so many comps in a row, and that he was thinking of putting up Christie and Jessica, with Jessica as his target because she's strong in mental comps and will go after guys. Jackson then shmoozed Christie as she was showering, saying he'd put her up as a result of their deal, but he wasn't trying to backdoor her, and that she'd be safe. Pie crusts and whipped cream were gone from the pantry so the pie task was officially over, without fanfare. Jackson confirmed later to Holly that Jessica was indeed his target, so they could let both Cliff/Nicole and Tommy/Christie think they were good with them. Everyone trooped up to see Jackson's photos and loot at 11.47pm. He got more watermelons (five regular and five mini), a watermelon hat and a Tennessee hat, steaks, wine, peanut butter, duckie socks, Godiva chocolates, high caffeine chocolate bars from Pop, a letter from his momma, and his music was Culture II by Migos. Along with the usual assortment of snacks and cereals, of course. Jackson rearranged it all as he was chatting with everyone. Cliff told Jackson, with Nicole present, that he'd be willing to go up as a renom pawn if needed "to keep Tommy onboard and unconcerned", secure he'd have the votes, while acknowledge "things can happen" with pawns. Day 73 - Friday 8/30/19Pre-nom meetings took place, like they do, repeating what was covered last night but with more words. Jackson's plan remained the same: Christie and Jessica, with Jessica his target, and Cliff as renom if needed, per Cliff's offer. Jackson skated around Christie's questions about what would happen if Jessica wins veto. Christie was fully dressed for her meeting, rather than her typical towel, but maybe the editors will use the clip of Jackson telling her in the shower last night rather than this morning's talk just to keep that theme alive. Holly had most of her makeup on during the morning meetings but she did a few touch-ups as they talked. Jackson told everyone he didn't think Jessica had a hint she'd be going up, and he said he'd tell her that she and Christie are mental comp threats, as the Reason for his nominations. He laid out that logic for Jessica, adding "I love you more than anyone in this house" - ooookay.Afternoon before the noms was a long, lazy affair with some peculiar and interesting convos. Christie had a mini pre-noms breakdown and whimper session with Tommy, who gave her his usual sincere gazes and peptalk. After that, they had a long general chat about family, Christie's ex, and the like. It was peculiar as it had an early days get-to-know-you vibe to it. Later, hanging out with everyone, Christie picked some very, very minor tiffs with Jessica. They weren't about anything nor were they even notable, other than for the subtleties of Christie getting Jessica to be in a defensive mode, in public. Christie may not be everyone's favorite (cough) but you can't deny she is a very good manipulator. Jackson nominated Christie and Jessica, as planned. Both took it well, or seemed to, but they both knew it was coming. Christie said something about her fourth time in a row, and "a month on the block." They wondered if Nicole would finally get drawn to play for veto, and Cliff pointed out Holly was the only one of them who hadn't had a task or punishment. Nicole said "she's in a showmance with Michie so that's punishment enough." Christie picked up the next phase of her campaign by shmoozing Jessica after noms, privately, and a bit later they had a tragic block party in the RV room, with Tommy present. Christie pushed Jessica about how she felt, which block emotion was she feeling: sad, angry, confused, or numb? Jessica said all of them, and pretty soon she was crying. That gave Christie her opening to be the designated peptalk and support person, with Tommy gazing sincerely throughout, and adding a word of support here and there. Cliff joined and he too provided supporting words. Meanwhile upstairs Jackson appeared to be diddling himself while chatting with Holly. Plans were discussed about finally holding the long-talked-about talent show for the Snapchat goggles tomorrow, and Holly said she might start a talk show in the lounge. They got a booze delivery a little after After Dark started, seven beers and a bottle of wine. When BB told them to check the pantry, Jessica said it wouldn't be booze because they have their veto comp tomorrow. After she saw it was booze, she said that meant the comp wouldn't be tomorrow. She said the rulebook stated as much. Jackson checked and reported it said "alcohol may not be provided before a live show or a competition." Bottom line: they got it and veto comp will be tomorrow as always. Jackson shotgunned two beers and gave Tommy a how-to lesson. Cliff told crazy frat stories about hunting for a missing finger, and then he taught them how to do A&M football yells, which they did. Holly had a grouchy evening, some issue or other with Jackson. She griped to Christie and Tommy about not wanting to just be known as Jackson's "old buzzard" girlfriend, and they listened and consoled her - again, it's what they do, and they do it well, like it or not. Later Cliff joined, and he and Christie encouraged Holly to talk to viewers, as an outlet and to let people know who she is? Something like that. Jessica sobbed some more to Nicole, having finally realized she'd been on the outs most of the game (rather, she realized that again, as everything she learned today about alliances, powers, pranksters, etc she'd been told previously.) Day 74 - Saturday 8/31/19Nicole's veto chip was finally pulled again for the last player draw, something that hadn't happened since the first player draw way back in June. Well, unless it wasn't and she was Jessica's Houseguest Choice.. we'll find out eventually. Cliff and Tommy would also play this one, meaning everyone but Holly. That may not have helped Holly's mood which was still snippy since last night. She griped to Christie for a long time about Jackson not reacting how she would have liked last night, and apparently not saying good morning today? As it happens, Jackson did try to make her feel better when she finally joined him in bed last night, apologizing for whatever joke he'd made that upset her, something about her being like "one of the girls he brings home from the bar." He apologized and said he didn't think of her like that, it was a joke, he was sorry and it wouldn't happen again. But she seemed to want something more or different from him and she ran her loops today to Christie about not wanting to be seen as just a showmance, she's her own person, and etc etc. Again note it was Christie who soaked all this up from her, and commiserated about PMS. It's also interesting to note that when Holly was griping to Jackson last night, she acknowledged she was being petty as compared to Jessica's three-hour sobfest misery about her (likely) impending eviction.Feeds were down from 11am until almost 4.45pm and when they came back, Tommy had won the veto. It was the Hide and Go comp, affectionately known (by me) as Trash the Habitat. Tommy's winning spot was inside the slipcover of the round mattress in the target room. Jackson put his under the stack of living room fake logs, Nicole stashed hers in the RV room fake logs, Cliff put his in a bathroom drawer, Christie's was under the bathroom rug, and Jessica simply put hers under her bed, saying she thought it was so predictable nobody would look there. Later Jackson told Cliff it was the first place he looked, as he was dead-set on finding hers. The kitchen wasn't as bad as some years but the rest of the house looked like a tornado hit. Furniture was overturned, mattresses were tossed, and small items were strewn all over town. Some of them griped about having to clean up yet another mess, and some were happy they got to play another BB classic. Jackson told Tommy and Christie he'd like noms to stay the same to ensure Jessica goes, and he wouldn't have to break a tie. Tommy gave Christie his word she'd have his vote, and Jackson said he could put up Cliff if Tommy does use it, and reiterated he preferred it isn't used so he doesn't have to break a tie. Reminder, Cliff volunteered the other night to go up as renom pawn if Christie came off the block. Jackson and Tommy repeated the same convo again later with Tommy saying if he uses it he'll vote how Jackson wants, and Jackson saying again he doesn't want to break a tie. Tommy told Jessica he'll probably use it on Christie, and Jessica said "that's awesome" and added that it makes her really happy that he'd do that for her. She asked if Tommy was going to talk to Jackson about it and he said he already had. Feeds were down over an hour a little before After Dark for HOH lockdown, presumably for staff to repair items and replace kitchen carpet. Feeds came back to all kinds of awkward and comments about that being the worst lockdown ever. The awkward was especially thick in HOH as Jackson asked Holly if she wanted to get her stuff? She said "you want me to get all my stuff out of here?" and he replied "I don't care, do what you want to, it's your stuff." After that, they each sat separately amid the others, making occasional annoyed and/or exasperated faces. Stay tuned, there will be more of this ongoing situation. The yard finally opened and Holly went out to sniffle and sulk in the hammock as others gathered up the flung bedding and various items to wash. Jackson sat in the outdoor sitting area, alone with his coffee. Before that, Nicole started to figure out Jackson and Holly maybe weren't as loyal to her and Cliff as they've said. She met with Cliff, who said he'd heard maybe Tommy won't use his veto after all, which relieved Nicole as she'd started to fear Cliff as renom pawn might be just a ruse to get Cliff out. Tommy sat down with Holly in the kitchen to listen to her problems and provide support, like he does. They all sat around the table as Jackson carved up a melon, between Diary calls for various of them, and they played a game of drawing M&Ms to determine which hamster they'd have to get tattoo'd on their rears. Jackson retreated to the hammock on his own, Tommy joined, and Jackson asked if it was true he might not use his veto? Tommy said he was thinking about it because if he did, it'd be the second time he saved Christie from the block and he wasn't sure how that would look. Jackson said it was Tommy's call, but he wanted Jessica gone and said it would probably go that way whether she was against Christie or Cliff. Tommy said he'd talk to Christie about it. Jackson and Holly remained separate for the most part, and barely spoke to each other. Holly griped to Christie about him, and that he was ignoring her and didn't touch her all night, didn't say good morning, and she said she'd called him "a fucking asshole" because he was. And she told Christie about Jackson asking if she was taking her things out of HOH. Things came to a head around 11.30pm when Holly asked if they could talk, as he was opening his HOH wine. He said coolly "sure, what do you want to talk about?" Awkward silence, and they repeated those lines again. She broke down and squeaked he was being so mean to her, he said he won't have someone talk to him like that ("fucking asshole") on TV, and she apologized for calling him that, saying it was momentary frustration. (She did tell several of them today she'd called him that, and added "because he is.") She was completely ineffective at telling him why she was upset, and he took the opportunity to lecture and browbeat her about feeds, TV, his mom and dad hearing him be talked about like that, and that not saying good morning was because he had to get ready for the veto pick and didn't want to wake her that he was being considerate. He said all his exes ended up treating him like this (hello), and she said she had PTSD from her past relationships, and her PMS was wreaking havoc with her emotions. Cliff had been taking a shower in HOH when it started but he escaped at some point and let the others in the backyard know there was tension upstairs. They proceeded to analyze the relationship, and pointed out that Jackson's and Holly's exes were very much like each of them, from their descriptions. Meanwhile Holly and Jackson kept repeating their loops, with Jackson saying how much he'd done for Holly in there, and he'd tried to make her happy, and he said "I'm sorry I made you this unhappy." She said "you haven't," and thus the loops continued. At one point they quieted down but then it flared up again with real anger for a moment, with him dismissing her with "I'll see you in the morning" but they settled down again. She finally said "I think I feel so comfortable with you that I treat you like a best friend, and that's my fault." She also said the habitat and the game and the cameras have added a lot of stress, and he said there will be even more when it's over. They muttered back and forth for awhile, and he said it'll all always be on the internet. She said they overanalyze everything, and she started "not to downplay it, but.." I don't know where she was going with that, but he cut her off and said he was tired and wanted to go to bed. She gathered her things and went downstairs, where they met up again to discuss where she'd sleep, he said he was "just looking out for her image," and they laid down with entwined legs for a minute in the campsite room before he went out to join the backyard group to socialize like everything was normal (when it clearly wasn't, and his tone indicated he was trying too hard). Holly sat in the kitchen alone and quiet, and then she started talking to us about all the BB generalities we already know, and all the things she says to all of them on a daily basis, and that she grew up on a ranch (really?!) so being locked inside was hard. That may have been the launch of the talk show she wanted to do, "Hot Takes with Holly." If you ask me, their whole relationship is toxic for both of them as it stands now, but you didn't ask me, and they certainly didn't. Nicole had a long talk with Tommy, shmoozing the shmoozer, and griping about Jessica getting upset with her last night for not having kept her in the loop(s). Holly ended up going back to HOH to sleep, but they didn't sleep, not right away anyway. They were cuddled together and he started up again about how devastating it was for her to call him "fucking asshole" on feeds (wait til he finds out she said it multiple times today to others). He said he hadn't been dismissive of her all day but had just been trying to "give her some space." And then he hammered her about picking at her split ends all the time, saying she doesn't want to look like a mean girl but that makes her look "like a stuck-up bitch, like Sis." They muttered some more, solving nothing, then separated to opposite sides of the bed. But they started up fighting yet again after that.
