Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 90 - Monday 9/16/19

Despite Julie's announcement implying the final veto outcome would be on Wednesday's show as usual, the veto meeting didn't happen today as usual. Apparently they were told it would be live on Thursday, which is usual for this final veto. But a taped eviction, pre-recorded After Dark, and 36-hour feeds outage is also usual for this point in a season and that's not happening, so that's something. Meanwhile our final four rattled around as usual, talking to themselves and us, and each other in various combos. A few sodas froze in Nicole's HOH fridge and one exploded in there, and that was the extent of excitement for the early part of the day. These are the dog days for hamsters and there probably won't be much to break up the monotony - something else they talk about a lot.

Each duo trashed the other semi-regularly when separated, and reverted to kumbaya when together. They were given playing cards and Cliff played "pick a card" to Nicole, who didn't really perk on the fact they had cards until Cliff pointed it out. He also did it to Jackson who got very excited about cards, and Holly who didn't really react one way or the other. But they didn't play cards until Cliff dealt some solitaire after 10pm, and they still hadn't gotten around to tie-dye. Jackson and Holly had a little spat about the awnings and if she could/should help him raise them or not. He finally told her to patrol his food for flies while he did them alone. The two of them served up a number of movie poster poses this evening, including this one that could be a sci-fi adventure about waiting for an asteroid or alien invasion. Jackson made himself steak and highly peppered Brussels sprouts and Nicole made frozen pizza for the rest of them - her first time, it sounded like. The foursome ate together outside, as it was their last night out there, displaying their mutual ignorance as they theorized how the final week plays out. Holly and Jackson had another date with the HOH shower stool.

The rest of the night was weird. Nicole was noticeably missing for most of the night, probably asleep. Jackson and Holly did some hammock time, and it looked like her laugh was broken after Jackson said or did something he found funny. Then again, for the number of times Holly says something's "hilarious" she rarely laughs, so maybe this was her actual laugh. Cliff did card tricks, narrating all the way, and talked a little about the brother who was killed on this day, including the fact that said brother accidentally cut off Cliff's toe when they were young. It was reattached. I'd like to know how we got to Day 90 without hearing this info before. Cliff then went on a habitat-wide hunt for the missing Orwell, again narrating all the way. Most figured Tommy had taken him when he left. The hunt crossed way past the cute line and into weird territory, and it was starting to look like he was losing his mind, as sometimes happens at this phase of the season. Just as After Dark ended, Cliff found the owl under pillows on the kitchen couch, and Tommy was vindicated.

Cliff and Nicole have cooked up some campaign plans that will probably fall flat. But first we have to get through another Taco Tuesday.

Day 91 - Tuesday 9/17/19

They stayed up late, with Nicole and Jackson hanging in the backyard until it was closed for the week (and likely the season) at 4.40am. Of course that meant for a very late morning. The no napping rule has been severely relaxed lately, if not eliminated. Nicole gave her HOH room to Cliff last night, and he launched his day with another everlasting monologue running his same loops about the show, the season, his family, his life, and of course the "honor" topic about Jackson. I'm still perplexed why he and Nicole haven't considered the possibility that Jackson eavesdropped on their convo with Tommy, especially Cliff, who was busted very early for his Cliff Notes talks by Christie eavesdropping. Not to mention Tommy's extreme anguish at not being believed - he's not that good an actor, but here we are. Cliff and Nicole still plan on pitching to Jackson and Holly about jury votes: his risk about "breaking his word" when that's all he harps on, and her poor chances against him. If and when that happens, of course Jackson and Holly will compare notes and it'll be futile. But it'll also create more resentment with Holly and Jackson, so there's that.

Jackson snapped at the cameras when he asked for privacy to pray, even though he's been demonstrably praying for a couple weeks or so. The big news was that shampoo day finally arrived for Holly! Jackson lingered at the HOH shower door as she did and talked to her, the much-abused stool sitting alone and neglected across the room. Afterwards Holly sat on the bed talking to Jackson about how "ugly" she looked, which he denied. Then she was called to Diary, she cussed, and he said "she'll be there in an hour." Nicole told us she was ready to promise anything to Jackson, including promising him he'll be in one of those chairs on finale night, adding "that's not me lying, he'll have a guaranteed spot in those final chairs of jury." Cliff began his pitch to Jackson while Holly was in Diary. It was the usual rehash of who did what first, and didn't accomplish anything. Jackson reported the convo to Holly, including Cliff saying he'd cashed in a 401k to take the time off. Holly said indignantly "should I tell him I still have $20,000 in debt to pay?" and Jackson said "we're not gonna play tit for tat." Even though that's exactly what they've all been playing since Christie's exit.

Cliff revved up his act again for After Dark, picking up where he left off last night and making a skit of kidnapping Orwell in a pillowcase. Then he tried to get Jackson's attention by dancing around the kitchen during food prep, with Orwell on his head, with and without tutu, while Jackson chopped steaks. Holly plus Jackson took forever to make dinner again, but the four finally sat down at their tiny table for the penultimate Taco Tuesday. Nicole shared her Seagram's drinks but conversation was still a lot stiffer than it used to be and the atmosphere was awkward. They poked some fun at themselves before they broke up again: Cliff to more camera talking, Jackson and Nicole to chess, and Holly to the bathroom mirror, and then Cliff and Holly joined the game area as chess spectators. At bedtime, Cliff told us he'd continue working his guilt trip on Jackson tomorrow, by telling him he wouldn't have his or enough jury votes to win if he doesn't honor their deal. Nicole worked on Jackson a bit tonight, reminding him how hungry Cliff was for finals, and how hard he'd fought to get this far.

Day 92 - Wednesday 9/18/19

Cliff made some BB21 pancakes by pouring down mirror-image letters and then covering them for a bigger pancake for a sort of embossed effect. He taught Nicole how to play gin, as Holly and Jackson snored in another room. The monotony was finally broken up with Nicole delivered a message from Diary for them all to get presentable for something, but they weren't told what.

Cliff finally asked Jackson to hear his final pitch and they met in HOH, after Jackson stopped off to carve up a watermelon first. He basically started off by saying he'll keep Holly over Cliff, and what a tough decision it was etc etc. Despite all the umpteen rehearsals we've heard, Cliff started off rehashing all the deals, who allegedly broke them, and other dead horse beatings. He told Jackson he'll throw the final HOH (lie) and guarantee him a spot in finals, and they spent some time mourning for whoever's family won't have seats at finale. Finally Cliff got around to his jury votes threats, saying he wouldn't vote for Jackson and he'll work the jury against him too, versus Holly being a guaranteed vote for Jackson plus campaigning to others for his behalf (an angle Cliff's been working on for several days). Jackson sat silently, with just occasional grunts, for the entire latter part of the pitch and when Cliff left, he said angrily to himself/us/the room "Are you fucking kidding me? You're gonna threaten me with fuckin jury votes?! Thank you for making my job easier!" Retells began immediately with Cliff reporting to Nicole, including the fact that Jackson had gotten silent and angry. When Jackson retold to Holly, she said "bullshit! bullshit!" She may not have realized she'd be the potential beneficiary if the jury was poisoned against Jackson. Further poisoned that is - Tommy's already had a week with them.

Jackson kept seething silently, as Holly was on one of her marathon cooking adventures. Eventually Jackson retold his meeting with Cliff to Nicole, saying he was wavering until Cliff threatened him. (Actually he said at the top he'd be keeping Holly, but never mind). Nicole went into the bedroom at one point and told us "[Jackson] can dish it out but he can't take it." Jackson went a few more ranty rounds to her, saying this isn't the Big Brother he came to play, everything was fine til Cliff made it personal, he bullied and strong-armed him, etc etc. Nicole took another break in the pantry, telling us she didn't want to laugh but she couldn't help it because Jackson's hypocrisy was so ridiculous. He'd been playing personal, strong-arming, "bullying," and everything else he was accusing Cliff of all season, adding "he's a big baby." Cliff launched into his tired hiding Orwell shtick when After Dark started and gave more silly tours of the habitat. He paused for a minute to talk about solitaire with Jackson, like everything was normal, which caused more silent seething. Holly piped up "in awkward situations I make awkward jokes, and cook." I guess that's the "playing her own game" she's been talking about all season.

Whatever the vague announcement of something happening tonight was about, it seemed to be a mistake or maybe a misunderstanding about being ready for long Diaries, as they all did those. Nicole, with Cliff present and Jackson in Diary, told Holly she had nothing against her (countering Jackson's report to Nicole that Holly didn't think much of her), and she said she was frustrated by Jackson's words and accusations after the way he'd acted all season, and she said she'd like to talk to him but it would probably just lead to a confrontation. Holly spoke in generalities and clichés, and talked about her perceptions and personality. They fed the fishies as a quartet, for Cliff's last night. Nicole asked Cliff to put in a good word for her with the jury, and she ran a list of her pros and cons from the season for him to deliver, including the huge fight about her and the first cussing on tv.

Cliff finally went in for his last marathon Diary, and Nicole and Holly sat down to do their nails together. Nicole campaigned a little more, still needing to solidify her spot in those final chairs. She also poked at Jackson a bit when he joined them, saying things like "jury management is a big part, this is valid" and the perennial favorite "it's a game." He said it didn't feel like a game lately. Holly and especially Nicole got silly, dancing around doing nail-drying dances and just being generally goony.

Later Jackson whisper-ranted to Holly about his disappointment in Cliff pulling guilt trips, bringing up family finances, not respecting "the game," being hypocritical, etc etc - all things Jackson's also done, often, and particularly in the past week. He told her about the offer to throw the final HOH and guarantee him a seat at finals, and he said he could take Holly off the block and make her do the dirty work, but he said that would be cowardly. He complained that he may have lost the $500,000 especially if Cliff does turn the jury against him, and he acknowledged that Tommy may have already done that. He said if they vote on game, they'd have to vote for him but if they're bitter, he could lose (to her, but he didn't mention that and neither did she). Once again a grateful nod to BB5 Cowboy for the best word to describe Jackson's mood tonight: he was nervousing. Nicole offered her HOH room to Cliff for his last night but he declined and told her to enjoy it. It will likely be locked after tonight, since nobody will be HOH until Part 3 happens live on finale in one week.

Juror

He was often loud, boisterous, and extra showy, with his high kicks and loud laugh, and he visibly came alive every night when After Dark started. But he was also everyone's friend and confidante, and a shoulder when they were upset, and he was even official mediator for a week or two to ensure accurate retells of tricky convos. His trademark 'sincere gaze' when listening to troubles became ridiculous and comical for most out here, but he made his fellow hamsters feel comfortable and loved, and that's highly valuable stock in BB. He was hindered by Christie and his relationship with her, and then sent out because of Jackson's Big Lie. Along the way he taught them a dance, he directed a horror movie, and he did his week-long run-around task, including its suit with its heavy helmet, without complaint.

Won: Whacktivity 3 Panic; 4 days Poison Ivy; Field Trip nominee
HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 3/0/2 - HN 1

Juror

She played the hell out of the game and drove it for most of the season, but she was too mouthy, too busy, and too obnoxious to pull it off. She came in with a lot of half-baked new age rhetoric and she made sure everyone heard about it daily, but she didn't understand it, she certainly didn't put it into practice, and she had no time for anyone else's beliefs. She quickly became known for her nasty eating habits, nonstop talking, and constant crying, and she panicked whenever she felt a shadow of a hint of danger in the game, and then she blamed PMS for that. Her pre-existing friendship with Tommy was the one secret she never spilled, and she double-dipped outside every alliance she was in. She won a valuable power but rendered it useless by telling everyone about it, and she was put on the block twice by viewers.

Won: 1 week pie smashing
HOH 1 - Veto 1 - Noms 3/0/0 - HN 1

Juror

She came in perky and sassy, which didn't last long, but pretty soon she was the reaction queen, providing facial expressions, gifs, and screencaps for every occasion. She was never really plugged into the game and liiiiiike she was like exhausting to like listen to when she talked like game? Her confusion became more apparent as the weeks dragged on, making her a liability for her teamies Kat, Cliff, and Nicole. But she was often fun especially with Kat, and Kemi and Nicole in their RV room. She had a dedicated feed for the big Nick versus Christie Taco Tuesday fight and her faces during that were superb, as was her squawky fall from the endurance wall comp. She kept busy much of the time: she ran the show days hair salon, she was the designated DIY chiropractor, and she gave lengthy massages that they loved. She didn't do a lot game-wise but she broke up the Jacks and she got one gone during her HOH week, and that was huge for them and us.

Won: $5,000; 1 week America's Prankster
HOH 1 - Veto 1 - Noms 2/0/0 - HN 0

Juror

He came in looking good, being a mental health therapist and bashing Matt and his cereal, but it didn't take long for us to forget all that. He talked way too much and way too fast, and he seemed intent on turning against allies for no reason. All that got him targeted relatively early but he won a veto and worked his way back into the good graces of most of them. He was often highly inappropriate, between regularly humping Tommy, ogling and cuddling Analyse while showmancing Bella, rubbing his feet on both of them, and talking in explicit detail about anything sexual. He was shocked to get zinged about his hair when he'd been singing his barber's praises all season, but he was usually able to laugh at himself, including his famous '30 seconds' story about his first time doing the deed with Bella.

Won: 1 week chicken/3 days eggs
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 0

Juror

She literally griped about Ovi when feeds started and planned to do makeup tutorials with Holly. That never happened but soon she shared her big news about doing the deed with Jack, and that's about all she did from then on, so she featured big on the sex tally (with and without their sex stool). She didn't win comps and she didn't gametalk much, but she griped a lot and made lots of threats to go off on whoever she was mad at on a given day. She was literally horizontal a lot so #LeaningSis became a fun hashtag game. One day Jack made an effort to spend time with her outside of bed and they screamed around playing pranks and hiding, including several rounds in the pantry trash can, once with the ultimate lean. When Jack left she socialized a little more, and she didn't complain too much about being a chicken or making eggs, but she literally never made them again.

Won: Hawaii trip
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 2/1/0 - HN 1

Juror

She came in confusing, telling one interview she'd watched for years and another that she just heard of the show. Then on the pre-season audio leak, Christie said she'd put Kat OTB because she was paranoid and annoying. Then feeds started and Kat was a basketcase, crying and freaking out. We found out some of that was due to Jackson's hump 'n dump, and when she wasn't evicted she settled into being the most entertaining of this bunch. She was random and funny, often using self-deprecating humor and making it work, along with ongoing gags about 'conspiring bitches' and Brett. She played a rat floater game but she didn't do it well, and there were a half dozen other rat floaters to maneuver around. She was outside most alliances but infiltrated with the best of them, and her game was great fun to watch, though very, very messy.

Won: Whacktivity 2 Chaos; 24 hrs Angry Alien
HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0 - HN 0

Juror

He was cocky and arrogant, and he and Jackson didn't want to talk to anyone who wasn't cool or pretty enough for them. He had a vendetta against Kemi for no apparent reason and he made more than a few racially charged comments about her and David. Julie grilled him about some of those as well as a comment about Bella, like she hasn't done to anyone since BB15 Aaryn. His HOH letter was from his dogsitter, and he called a house meeting to announce nobody could gametalk with the three Camp Comebackers (but everyone did, including him). He referred to bedmate Analyse as his 'game piece' early on to Jackson, and he had a multi-way attraction thing going with Christie and Tommy. He was tipped off about some of his behavior and tried to do better but it was a transparent effort.

Won: Fiji trip
HOH 0 - Veto 2 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

He was the first outsider to learn the Eight (and the Six) were things, and he seemed content to be their ninth (and seventh) rather than taking that info to the rest of the strays so they could organize and counter. He started strong, winning the first two vetos, but his luck went downhill after that. He planned a nominee speech outing Christie's shady dealings but he blabbed and it got back to Christie and the rest. But that then led to the huge fight before his eviction show that tore the Jacks apart and blew up the Six, so kudos for that. Never mind he could have used that mess to his advantage and maybe stayed. He was a DIARY SHOUTER, he had lots of goofy (sometimes inappropriate) stories, and he was liked by most, most of the time.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1 - HN 0

She seemed promising in her pre-season interviews but it turned out she hadn't really done the homework recruits should do, and she was quickly in over her head. She blabbed about most every convo she had, and she blew up alliances almost as soon as they were formed. But along the way she mixed and drank gross concoctions including hot dog water and mayo, she told some funny stories and some sad ones, and she and Nick fell in love (once she finally got him to stop lusting for Analyse).

Won: Revival to Camp Comeback Day 23
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0

She was targeted by Jack and Jackson for no reason we know of, other than naming them as potential nominees in the first days. From then on they were obsessed with her, spreading that obsessive hate to their teamies, and it was so stupid it would have been comical if it weren't so ugly. She kept it classy despite all that, and it's good she had Nicole as a sounding board (and genuine friend) to vent her frustrations. I just wish she and Kat didn't hate each other as they would have made a superb comedy duo.

Won: Whacktivity 1 Nightmare (unused); Revival to Camp Comeback Day 15
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1 - HN 0

He was a prime example of BB book smarts not necessarily equating to BB street smarts, and he didn't help himself any by being too loud and busy, nor by snitching on alliances to those same alliance members. Analyse accused him of being creepy with her but there was no evidence of that. He's done great things out here and will undoubtedly do more, so it was probably for the best that he got out of that snakepit sooner than later.

Won: First 2 weeks in sequester; Revival to Camp Comeback Day 15
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

He got the rawest of BB deals, the first night boot, and then he was locked in a hotel room for two more weeks. He showed a quick and accurate read on everything when he re-entered the habitat and was probably the only one of the Comebackers with potential to do some real damage if he'd won the comp to re-enter the game, but it wasn't to be. His and Kat's flirtation was fun to watch. He could and should have been a contender but instead he got the boot twice, and without any noms or votes to evict.

Big Brother 21 SEASON FAQ
Day 1 Move-in was June 19
Day 7 CBS premiere was June 25
Day 8 Feeds began June 26
Day 99 Finale is September 25

Feeds are streamed by CBS, and Flashback is accessible via All Access subscription. Call 888-274-5343 for account help, including cancellation.

*Effective July 10* Air shows on CBS (Global in Canada) are Sundays 8pm, Wednesdays 9pm, eviction Thursdays 9pm.

Big Brother After Dark on Pop TV will be every night midnight to 3am (an hour later on Wednesdays and Thursdays). The aired blocks are live (or recorded earlier the same night, depending on your cable provider).

The CBS app (by CBS Interactive) plays BB air shows and other CBS shows, as well as feeds, or you can use your browser to watch feeds on mobile devices. The same All Access link used to subscribe will lead to the feeds viewing page if you're already signed up.

BB21 finalist prizes are the same: $500k for the winner and $50k for 2nd place. Stipend for the others to be confirmed if/when they mention it on feeds, likely $1,000 per week again. Top finishers get bonuses again this season: $10,000 for 3rd place, $7,500 for 4th, $5,000 for 5th.

The habitat has 94 HD cameras (no change) and 113 microphones (no change).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman. He and Julie Chen are the only staffers who have been there since Big Brother 1.
