Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 48 - Monday - September 21, 2020

Late last night Dani asked Cody to swear he'd go after David if she "gave him this one" (letting Da'Vonne go) and he said "100% without a doubt." She asked that after lengthy griping with Nicole about not wanting to lose another girl. She mentioned that to Cody, that it'll be 6-3 males to females, and he said "I don't think the guys are that narcissistic." And they agreed the yard was weird now without Ian in his hammock.

On to new business: David met with Memphis to check about the veto, and Memphis said it wouldn't be used, unless Tyler wanted to become a target. He said Da'Vonne's the bigger threat and "wicked smart," and he mentioned using her veto on Kevin, but "at the end of the day" the vote will be up to the house. David said he wasn't told this would be All-stars when he was called for it (wow if true, but David doesn't always tell the truth). Memphis chided him for saying he thought he could win, saying any of them could hope to win, but can't expect it. Christmas flat-out lied to Enzo and David saying she got flak last time because people said she was "against the military." Excuse me but NOPE, she got flak for questioning that year's Cody's military service, and for saying she wanted to trigger PTSD in him. Tyler told Da'Vonne he won't be using his veto.

As expected, Tyler did not use his veto, and Christmas did not use her Blocker power, so it has now expired unused. Kevin resumed his Eeyore mode to talk with Cody. He said conversationally he knew who had all the powers, because he was standing by the podium in the Basement comp and heard them. That got a "what?!" reaction from Cody but he didn't really pursue it. Kevin said he's in the same position as Da'Vonne and added "I don't care anymore" in a sing-song voice. Apparently Kevin snubbed Enzo's hug attempt after the meeting and later apologized for it, saying he was joking the same way Enzo jokes. But later Kevin told Da'Vonne it was a real shun for a "fake-ass hug."

It sounds like Da'Vonne gave a nominee speech scorcher so hopefully that'll be included on Wednesday's show. Christmas griped to Enzo about that, saying she called out everyone who's been HOH, and "the only people she didn't name were Nicole and Dani." I think Christmas also said she'd tell Da'Vonne about Nicole's lie vote against Ian. Meanwhile Da'Vonne told Dani and Kevin "on my previous seasons people fell in love with me because of how real and how raw I was, and because I was unapologetically Da'Vonne" and "they shitted on Ian for playing the game, I watched them do that - they're not gonna do that to me, fuck them." If she knows Dani is part of "them" she didn't let on.

Then Da'Vonne told Nicole she needs to know the truth and asked her directly to clarify her vote. Nicole said "I did what I told you." Da'Vonne said "you voted to keep Ian?" and Nicole said yes, and "I definitely kept Ian." Da'Vonne told her how important it was that she knows the truth so she "doesn't look like shit" for bashing David if she's wrong, and she explained that bigger issues are at play here. And Da'Vonne said it looked so bad "the way they made fun of Ian." Nicole's eyes went wide until Day said "when he was campaigning." When Da'Vonne left, Nicole was visibly shaken and said "I'm gonna tell her, I just have to find the right time." She whined to Dani about it later and wondered what to do, and Nicole said "now nobody will see it as game" in there or out here - accurate AF. They had yet another wall yeller and Christmas said nobody heard anything, but I don't think any feeds were on the yard at the time. Feeds went to starfishies for a few short blocks, and the yard reopened after a half hour or so. Da'Vonne tried to peptalk and coach Kevin for after she's gone, but it was a struggle.

Memphis and Christmas had a lengthy gametalk that I didn't (couldn't) listen to but the gist became clear when Christmas pulled David into the lounge for a chat. She talked condescendingly, like she does, and with a lot of cliches, and she listed various Dani and Nicole crimes. She suggested their cover for talking privately should be that he was feeling sensitive about Da'Vonne calling him out in her speech, and Christmas asked who she didn't call out. David said "Nicole and Dani and.." Christmas said it didn't matter who else. She said she thought they came in as a pre-game trio with Da'Vonne and "obviously now Kevin's included." She made him pinkyswear "on Crossfit" that he wouldn't repeat any of this. He said he'd pinky and the Crossfit part wasn't necessary, but she insisted. She asked for safety for two HOHs he wins in exchange for telling Da'Vonne in her farewell that David didn't lie about his Ian vote. (Never mind that Christmas and Tyler already said yesterday they'd do this.) She added she "doesn't want to be known as that girl who takes girls out." David said "let's ride, let's do it" and he also said "let's talk about getting to 5th [place] because that's when the money increases."

A marathon project making fries occupied David for a few hours, and then it all went wrong. Feeds went to starfishies but came back relatively soon to Cody saying he'd asked where the fire extinguisher was, Kevin pointed to it, Cody grabbed it and was reading the directions on the tag when, per Cody, "Memphis RIPPED IT OUT OF MY HAND" and squirted it on the fire. So life lesson here: don't be a Cody, be a Memphis. In case of fire, that is.

Kevin went into the camera room and told Cody, Tyler, Enzo he didn't want to campaign against Da'Vonne but he'd like to talk to each of them tomorrow, to campaign. He said this week will need four votes to stay, and he'd also talk to David, and to Christmas. When he left, Cody asked if four votes was right? Yes, yes it is. Dani and Nicole scared Cody in the Have-not room, and then Christmas griped to Cody about Da'Vonne some more. She said her speech today was the Da'Vonne she'd been expecting to see, along with picking her for Have-not (again/still), and she said about fight night "she fucking charged towards me, is this bitch really gonna fuckin get in my face? Bayleigh had to step in front of her so she didn't come at me." (She's repeated this "charging" tale various times, and says that's where her "cold and heartless" zing came from. Wrong.) Da'Vonne predicted Christmas would do this, and here she is doing it.

Day 49 - Tuesday - September 22, 2020

I turned on feeds to find Christmas, Nicole, David interviewing each other like a talk show, and Kevin campaigning in his usual Eeyore-ish way to Memphis, who did most of the talking in his usual arrogant, pompous way. Kevin then wandered downstairs and greeted Dani, saying "guess what? It's campaign day." Dani said "oh noooo!" But then maybe she realized Kevin was talking about himself and she added "Today is? This early?" Kevin proceeded to make hash browns, which may or may not have been a campaign tactic like Ovi's cookies. Christmas trotted up to HOH to hear about Kevin's pitch and he told her Kevin pretty much said he thought Da'Vonne was done and giving up, and they scoffed about both nominees being pathetic - I don't think either used that word, but that was their tone. They proceeded to figure out how and when to break up Dani and Nicole and dump them from their alliance and their habitat. These are hard times Hamsterwatchers, these feeds are hard to watch, but I will try to continue to bring you highly paraphrased conversations and silly highlights.

Feeds went down at 11.45am for four hours with nothing noteworthy when they came back, so we'll assume bathroom sink repairs happened. Yep, later they mentioned having been told not to rinse hair down the sinks. Kevin sat outside with the guys, a new look and place for him, and they talked about when they'd get their phones back, who TMZ did and didn't call after their seasons, and the like. Da'Vonne and Christmas met in the lounge for a campaign chat that was full of compliments and well wishes. Da'Vonne said she felt she was here to use this platform as an opportunity to talk about BLM and God, and she told Christmas she knew she wouldn't lie to her (about her vote). Christmas brought up her foot, Josh, Paul, and said she felt her last season was a challenge from God. She said she respects Da'Vonne's fire, and she thinks she may have offended Da'Vonne, and apologized for that, and asked to be educated about that post-show, in particular her ignorance about "Black Lives and your experience." Christmas didn't tell Da'Vonne how she was voting but said it didn't look good for her, and Da'Vonne thanked her for her honesty. The retells on both sides will be interesting.

Christmas and Cody had a little argument over a pool game, but there was no flying pickle juice/hot sauce involved. Most of the afternoon was casual convos between a lot of starfishies, and quite a few of them made little snipes about Christmas as they chatted. Da'Vonne installed one of her stunt hair wigs on Kevin and they chatted about topics large and small for a long time as she styled it, and they stopped occasionally to do little dances. Tyler whispered to Christmas about one of the wall yellers that apparently Kevin originally said he only heard Tyler's name, but Tyler figured he and Dani both heard it and that they'd said both his and Christmas's names. And he told her that Dani had reported to Cody that Tyler and Christmas are "super tight." It feels like wall yellers have done more gaming this season than most of the hamsters. Kevin asked Nicole and Cody separately if they'd want to work together if he stays, and of course each said yes. Cody added "I didn't just say that though."

They did their weekly virus tests, and they got yet another booze delivery. None of them seem to realize it's coming so often because they're so boring. Enzo found it and hollered but only Nicole heard, so they stashed three of the six beers. Nicole banged her chin on the cupboard door while stashing and fell over. Nicole told Cody, and Dani, who scolded her for telling Cody. Dani and Enzo wanted to chug the evidence but Nicole said "we'll get in trouble, we'll get evicted" and then BB ran the announcement to look in the pantry so they left the stash for later. Da'Vonne retold her Christmas convo to Kevin earlier in the pool but I couldn't hear them, but then she retold to Dani. She made it clear she hadn't believed Christmas anymore than I did, and she said she was "nice, scary nice." She said she'd brought up BLM, and she told Day she was probably a goner but she wouldn't divulge her own vote. Dani acted surprised Christmas had any info about the vote and said nobody had talked about it (lie). Da'Vonne said she wouldn't tell Kevin he'd be staying because then he'd relax and she needed him to continue to campaign, and so would she.

Da'Vonne then told Kevin she had to eat something to counter her wine, or she might do or say something she'd regret later. The two of them talked in the kitchen as most of the others hung out in the backyard. Kevin said he thought David actually had voted with them and Nicole was the vote against Ian, and he said he thought Nicole might be using Da'Vonne because she knows there's trust there. Da'Vonne said Nicole knows if she's lying to her face there will be trouble. Kevin said there's a possibility the situation was created to make division. She said "Between the minorities? That would be shitty! 'Oh they're too close, let's divide them!'" And she said she didn't think "D" (Dani) would do that. Kevin asked what if she's not getting the full picture, and Da'Vonne said she didn't think so. Meanwhile Nicole told Dani in the pantry she'd already lied to two people she really likes and she was "done" (with lying, presumably). I don't know what brought that up but she's still lying to Da'Vonne by not saying anything. Nicole was stressing about it again today and she went to bed early but Christmas visited and Nicole told her she wants to tell Da'Vonne. Christmas said it would expose everyone in the Committee.

On and on it goes. Kevin campaigned to David, and they compared notes about the vote fiasco and everything that came before, Kevin's theory about Nicole being the vote, and the divide, and that David was torn about Da'Vonne and the bigger picture as he felt he was making some inroads with some of the other guys. David said Da'Vonne plays "the aftermath card" and Kevin said "it's gonna go down tonight," meaning Da'Vonne versus Nicole. David said he was afraid to tell Da'Vonne he was now thinking of voting against her because of all their history (and because he'd already promised her his vote), and Kevin suggested he wait on telling her. Meanwhile Da'Vonne asked Dani if she'd asked Nicole to change her vote at the last minute. Dani said "No! Are you serious?" Da'Vonne told her she still doesn't believe David, but she came up with a plan to let him think she did believe him, and if she stays she'll go after Nicole. Dani said "I'm down, I love sneaky plans." She rushed off to tell Nicole about it, who grinned as Dani told it, but then said she didn't like the plan and Dani had to kill it.

Meanwhile, thinking he secured David's vote, Kevin reported back to Da'Vonne that he kind of believed after all that it was David who flipped and didn't vote with them. Through all this, Cody and Dani periodically scared and screamed at each other, making it all very difficult to follow. There was talk of yet another wall yeller so feeds shut down around midnight. Again.

Reminder, if you missed what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback!

Day 50 - Wednesday - September 23, 2020

Feeds remained down the rest of the night, switching to adoptable anipals around 3.20am. That's all I got.

The show's Twitter finally got around to acknowledging the outage and giving us an update at 7.38pm, saying feeds would be back at 10pm.

Feeds did indeed return a minute or three after 10. All ten were gathered in the living room, looking formal, and someone - Tyler, maybe - said "look, they're warming up" about the cameras maybe. If so, they knew feeds were down and had come back. They were all playing charades together happily, and there were pizza boxes on the island, so they may have had booze as well. Happy happy joy joy eviction eve, okay. The game broke up after an hour, Memphis headed straight up to bed, the others separated into their twos and threes and confirmed that things were not all happy or joy. Unfortunately they installed separate left/right starfishies which is good in a way, rather than blocking everything for one misdemeanor, but that music remains SO LOUD it makes quads a thousand times more difficult than they were before. And they strobed those lopsided starfishies on and off like crazy.

We did learn Da'Vonne is still going tomorrow, so that's yet another massive hit for Team Fun Feeds, and probably the last straw for many at least until the power group(s) attack themselves. Dani's name was in a lot of mouths, as was Christmas's. It sounds Christmas was angry and maybe fought with someone, and cleaned the bathroom and other areas as a result, Dani and Nicole may have had a falling out, and Nicole's vote may have finally come out. If so, we'll need to rely on the edit tomorrow to see how all that unfolded. Nicole and Christmas went off to Bible but first Christmas said "you were unraveled that week" (Ian vs Tyler), and Nicole said "bad game choice, that's all I got to say" and "I'm just being tested in all sorts of ways." Enzo talked in a manic whisper to Tyler about breaking up Cody, Nicole, Dani, and they agreed they wouldn't go after David if they win HOH. Again, it was all very sketchy, and very hard to follow with the left/right starfishies cutting into most anything resembling gametalk. Sigh.

Da'Vonne sat in the lounge for her last talk with us. She knows she's going tomorrow and she got emotional more than once. She said she really tried but dropped the ball, and she felt she was there for a greater purpose and hopes she used the platform well for that. She said she felt she'd let Bayleigh down but hoped David wins, indicating she did indeed find out about the fiasco vote. And she said several times she hopes she didn't disappoint her fans - nope! Christmas asked Cody how Tyler was doing "after that stunt last night." Cody said he's good and feeds switched. Dani and Nicole talked about whether Dani should use her power to let Memphis play for HOH tomorrow, but she didn't want to be seen working with him. Hers can be anonymous but she told Da'Vonne about it, and was afraid she told Kevin. Nicole told her "I think Kevin hates me and Cody, I think he has since that stupid bullhorn." Dani said she's worried about a talk Christmas wants to have tomorrow with Da'Vonne. All in all it seems a very lot happened in their 22 hours without us, and I feel like Kaitlyn with a bunch of puzzle pieces in front of me and I simply cannot put them together properly.

Also tonight, Enzo learned there are night vision cameras.

Reminder, if you missed what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback!

The extended feeds blocks remain ridiculous, along with Hypersensitive Skippy often cutting feeds so frequently there's no way to follow anything. What else can be said? They simply aren't treating their customers very well, and they leave their affiliates out here on the front lines to take all the flak. All this on top of the basically awful season with the lack of power shifts, the mob rule, the vilification/ostracization strategy, and both the implied and overt racism, it's a lot. Production isn't necessarily to blame for all that, but it's kind of a chicken/egg situation. Take Christmas for instance, maybe they had a 'redemption' angle with the broken foot, but she was arrested for a violent felony since we saw her last. She pled that down to a misdemeanor, but why not bring back the other hamsters with violence incidents and/or records too? Justin Sebik, Scott Weintraub, Drew Daniel, Cowboy, Willie? I kid, and I shudder.

My permanent gripe/comment remains as long as slop does: They need to do away with slop in general, but especially during pandemic plague season when good nutrition should be a major priority on their highly-touted list of safety concerns.

Won: $5,000; Safety Suite #2; Safety Suit #3 (Enzo's win)/1 week star babies; Basement Blocker power/unused
HOH 1 - Veto 1 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 2

Can she just go away? Her condescending attitude, her arrogance, her constant loops about herself, and her revisionist history. It's just too much. Kevin called it so well: she's got a lot of inner work to do, but instead she acts like she's got it all together. And then she preaches about it. She actually equated being put on the block with being put on slop? Bitch please.

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 1 - Veto 1 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 2

I was going to keep him in neutral because as bad as the constant snot snorting, sticky-out tongue, bad accents, and poor communication skills are, it's not as bad as what some others are putting out. But the shouting, omg the shouting, it's so loud, constant, immature, obnoxious, and unnecessary. Downgrade.

Won: Slop pass, home gym; Basement Replay power
HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 1

I bet production thought they had a winning twist with the replay HOH power, but she had such a terrible week at the top that she gave up the chance to do it again. She'd talked about maybe passing it to this week's HOH to sabotage them by lying like David did, but that was before she knew who it'd be. Memphis might put her on the block if she plays it Thursday. Otherwise she's just cruising along, helping others get themselves into deep mucky messes, as she complains about every other thing being 'annoying.'

Won: Basement Disruptor/gave himself immunity Week 6
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0/0 - HN 2

He's been everyone's scapegoat for the longest time but he's still here, and he's one of the least problematic of them. He was framed for a game crime that had far bigger repercussions than 'just a vote.' I don't blame him or Da'Vonne for being angry at each other over that because seven other people keep backing up the lie, but the sooner Da'Vonne learns the truth about it, the better for all.

Won: $5,000
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 2/0/0 - HN 2

See David. Also she was 100% accurate when she said 'on my previous seasons people fell in love with me because of how real and how raw I was, and because I was unapologetically Da'Vonne.' And that's even more true now. Her game seems to be coming to an end but she fought hard, and she's been carrying the humor, the gif-able facial expressions, and the humanity on her shoulders pretty much single-handedly for awhile now.

Won: Safety Suite #3
HOH 1 - Veto 1 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 1

His comedy isn't for everyone and it comes in spurts, but once he gets going he can be pretty funny and we desperately need that in this plague season. Unfortunately those spurts of humor seem to always come with a lot of talk about his hemorrhoids, but that's Enzo, yo. But he's downgraded for his nasty comments about Da'Vonne and saying he's 'terrified' of her. I want to think he's telling people what they want to hear since we know he does that, but there's no reason to go some of the places he's gone.

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 4/0/0 - HN 1

We've had a few Eeyores over the years but never anyone who played the role so consistently. His only real value seems to be his Diary persona, but it's not all that great and is pretty much the same shtick. Why couldn't we have had say, a Johnny Mac on the roster? But downs for Kevin's constant gloomy are upgraded to neutral for his excellent Sunday morning observations and comments about everyone's personalities. They were so accurate and perceptive that it's mind-boggling he takes so long, and is often so wrong, about realizing how those personalities are positioned in the game.

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 2 - Veto 1 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 1

Why did he make such a huge deal of his secret Plan and make 27 Wise Guys alliances if David was his backdoor plan all along? Everyone expected that from him anyway. Like Christmas, he is arrogance personified. The two of them teaming up is great though, as they'll be easier to ignore if they're together.
Update already: solid downs upgraded to neutral for not letting the place burn to the ground. Oh wait.

Won: 1 week SLOPPIES box
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 1

What does she think she has to gain by continuing the vote lie? Everyone knows she's heavily allied, and she probably lost Da'Vonne's finals vote with that lie, along with possibly David's and Ian's as well. She's had multiple chances to come clean to Da'Vonne and she hasn't, even seeing what a huge honking disaster that lie has turned into. The longer she waits, the worse it'll be when it does come out and at this rate, someone else is going to tattle about it before she gets around to confessing, which will make it even worse for Nicole. Stupid.

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 1 - Veto 1 - Noms 0/0/1 - HN 1

He's just there, but like David, he's still there even having a number of people targeting him, and in the end BB is a game of sticking. Well, until the end anyway. Like Ian, he showed some entitlement about winning the season and he got pissy when he was nominated, but he self-corrects and adapts well. We'll see if he handles his next nomination better.

Won: Safety Suit #2 (Christmas's win)/1 week space skits
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 2

1st juror, 6th evicted, Day 44

His plan to lay low at first was foiled by the ones who started gaming long before move-in, and his F2 with Nicole was only insurance on her part since she was tighter with the power group. Learning that broke him and it was downhill from there. He showed some entitlement about deserving to win but talked about his struggles learning to lose, which proved him vulnerable and human. He did a superb job with his skits, and talked openly about being on the spectrum, and it was so good to see him again. As before, I wish him well in all he does.

Won: 500 tricycle laps
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

5th evicted, Day 37

She and Tyler had their ups and downs, repairing their relationship from last time and breaking it up again, and that affected the game in various ways. Her friendship with Janelle was fun to watch, and her friendship with Da'Vonne was golden, the type that will likely last long after this season's forgotten. She gave yoga classes, and she rode 500 backyard laps on a tricycle as a veto repercussion, 40 with only one pedal, and BB didn't even put it on the show. Her great attitude riding those laps, mostly to spite her haters, was a joy to behold.

Won: Safety Suite #1
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0 - HN 1

4th evicted, Day 30

His BB strategy plans have always held promise but implementing them, not so much. But no matter: he was and is a class act, and he always brings the kind of much-needed humanity our feeds are usually lacking in a big way. It's too bad things didn't work out differently this time but it was great to see him on our feeds again, both for himself and for his fun friendship with Janelle.

Won: Safety Suit #1 (Kaysar's win)/1 week star
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

3rd evicted, Day 23

It was great to see her on feeds again, especially her easy friendship with Kaysar. She was BB6 Janelle again but without the in-your-face name-calling that would have made things more fun for us, but props to her for not going there. It's astounding how hard she was targeted just for showing up, proof that Janellousy is still real.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

2nd evicted, Day 16

Imagine going on BB and not wanting to work with Janelle and Kaysar. Having them to go bat for you, hard, and then throwing it back in their faces. It's mind-boggling. She was in way over her head this season, made one bad decision after another, and she repeatedly promised us a house meeting that she never delivered.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0

1st evicted, Day 9

She was feisty her first time around but like all of them, she's older and more mature now, and her birthday happened before they moved in, so we didn't get any new memorable Keesha scenes. But it was good to see her again and she got a nice check for two weeks isolation and one week of summer camp.
