He talked to himself/us for quite a long time, and he also whistled to visiting birds. Last night most of them had a lively group convo in the kitchen about movies, in particular kids movies. It only dawned on me afterwards why it was so pleasant: Christmas wasn't there to continually "grab the mic" and put herself in the center, or talk about the time she saw this movie, or how someone she knows was involved in that movie, and then relate that to Iraq or NASCAR or crossfit, etc. As a result, the convo lasted quite awhile, with everyone participating. If only Kevin had won that veto she'd be going on the block today and on her way out, but no.Cody told David "all right, I'm using the veto today, who should I put up as replacement? You have 10 seconds, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6.." David said "do whatever you feel is best for your game," and Cody said "no, I'm not using it, you're staying on the block, you failed miserably." Cody clearly thought this was a terrific gag, and said "it ain't that serious, I was just kidding." Imagine if someone did that to him if he was on the block, minutes before the veto meeting. We'd never hear the end of it. Cody did not use the veto, obviously. Feeds came back to Christmas yapping at Cody about Dani, and Kevin asked Memphis for his vote. Memphis said he'd let him know. David spent a long time cutting up potatoes for fries again, but he suggested somebody else cook them so he doesn't burn the place down. Dani decided to have a housewide volleyball game with beach balls, and she and Cody got some early practice in. About the time they were ready to start, BB sent them to inside lockdown. Over dinner prep, Dani suggested they all say something new about themselves the others don't know. Kevin said he once ran the bases in a major league ballpark, Tyler said he was in ICU 10 days after falling off a water slide, and starfishies cut off the rest. Christmas spent a long time studying days aloud in HOH, and analyzing and explaining how various questions might work. She then took it downstairs to discuss her game, her position in it and etc, but she whispered that part. She told Enzo how excited she was for upcoming comps. Dani and Memphis had a gametalk about "next week" - most of those are moot because they don't know for sure it's a double, and they have no idea it's a triple. An extra skimpy booze delivery arrived a little after 7pm, and Cody opened his HOH wine so it would go a little farther. Dani and Nicole stashed three away in their stash cupboard in the pantry again, including one for Enzo when he comes off Have-not. Feeds went to strobing starfishies often, and I heard a flash of music a couple times, so I wouldn't be surprised if feeds go down again for the evening. We'll see. Update: in a quick flash of feeds between starfishies, it looked like Dani and Nicole chugged their stashed beers in the pantry (though one person told me otherwise.) They did announce they'd never steal beers again. Starfishies stuck around, with just brief glimpses of feeds here and there. I'm mostly just hate-watching at this point and that's not fun or healthy, especially this year. I can't give all of them premature empty wheels, so I'm going to move feeds to the background for now and get on with some other things. I'll post if anything "major" happens but I'm not expecting much. Reminder, if you missed what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback! Day 56 - Tuesday - September 29, 2020Christmas and Memphis sat in the nominee chairs in a possible preview of a block combo for Thursday night? If we're lucky - well, if I'm lucky. I realize not everyone shares the same ideas about who they'd like to see gone. The two of them did a morning show skit but this being BB22 where every silver lining comes with a cloud, they launched into national politics and cringe. And this being 2020, they'll likely both survive the triple and possibly not even hit the block. But Cody and Enzo had a very lengthy gametalk last night, studying days and running future weeks scenarios, and both Memphis and Christmas were high on their radars, so that's something. They got another Dr Will video around noon, with a Neighbor's House logo in the style of Safety Suite and Basement. Per David retell later, he told them "know what you're going to do, because we need to get three or four of you out of here in the next week," and Tyler said the message included "you should think three steps ahead." So the first triple ever in BB USA won't be a total blindside, boo. When feeds first came back, before we knew why they were down, Nicole said "he said it twice." They were all wound up, curious, paranoid, and talking about double evictions and fast forwards. That message could have been for a spot on Thursday's show, or just an add-in for tomorrow's veto show since they didn't hear from him when they did the comp Saturday. Dr Will said on Twitter he's "hiding Easter eggs." Kevin and David began campaign rounds. Enzo told Kevin he thinks Kevin is Cody's target which puts him (Enzo) in a tough spot. (Enzo and Cody discussed what's best to say last night, and per that convo, Enzo also brought up David's $10k as a reason not to keep him.) Kevin muttered "omg I have no shot" as he left. Both nominees continued their meetings, and the giant floaties here and there added a comical aspect. But none of these chats mean much, as Kevin's a definite goner (as of now). David's general socializing has improved a lot, but I think the only conversations Kevin has with anyone are when he campaigns each week, other than the shallowest surface exchanges one might have with roommates they don't like. Contingency strategy chats also kicked off thanks to Dr Will's message, with most of them expecting a surprise eviction tonight and a double Thursday. When Julie doesn't show up tonight or tomorrow, they'll probably figure out it's a triple. Sigh. Kevin's meetings carried on, with many promises of safety. As usual on a Tuesday, Memphis told Kevin he wasn't voting to keep him. Others continued to spiral about what Dr Will's message meant, and to plan accordingly depending on various scenarios, and to study. Nicole and Cody got a little snippy with each other as she realized she was late to study hall. Cody said he plays up being dumb for Diary because that means TV time, which means followers, which means money. Many of them decided tonight would be a surprise eviction with a double following on Thursday, so several got dressed up to be ready for that. Come 5pm, Memphis and Tyler were the ones waiting in the living room for Julie's face to pop up. Make of that what you will. Since they learned to deep fry without setting the place on fire, they've been doing it a lot. Tonight included more fries, nuggets, hot dogs, bread. They're one step away from deep frying anything and everything they can find, as people do. They had their weekly virus tests at some point. I did hear Diary calls which surprised them as they hadn't had any all day, so maybe it was then. There were a lot of starfishies again all day and evening so it's hard to be sure of much. There was some grumping about believing they'd have an eviction tonight once they realized there wasn't. Kevin sat down to another monologue that was kind of sad as it was all angst, depression, and Eeyore. He said he didn't think he has the votes, and he has to remember to enjoy his week and not ruin it with anxiety. He said he made an offer to every single person but "it's looking bleak," and he said it doesn't feel like the other times he was on the block. He said only Memphis confirmed his vote, against him, and Enzo said he'd vote to keep him if Cody gave that go-ahead. Kevin said he doubted Cody would do that, and he said he thought Nicole was shmoozing him for a jury vote. And he wondered why he even came back, as his first season was fun and a positive experience overall. The rest of the evening was mostly quiet, with some chit-chat, and lots of extended starfishies for no apparent reason. Memphis suggested to Christmas they wouldn't drop any hints for a regular double to ruin the surprise, and since they didn't have an eviction today, Thursday could be a triple. They added there's not enough time for that, but they don't know they've got that extra hour this week. Most were in bed by midnight. Reminder, if you missed what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback! Day 57 - Wednesday - September 30, 2020They had another late morning after another late night: these hamsters might be the most well-rested in years. We got this nice wide shot perspective for a bit this morning, always a good view to remind us how the various stagnant camera views we usually get are put together. They packed up all the beach balls in the pantry but they weren't picked up by staff, but David's and Kevin's luggage was delivered. Kevin realized late last night - too late, long after all their paranoia - that if there had been an eviction last night, they would have gotten their bags earlier. Most of them decided to wear their tie-dye OTEV shirts today.I don't want to be a constant complainer - we have enough of those on feeds - there's just very little going on. Kevin's eviction is a certainty, they don't know it's a triple so any future plans will be derailed by that, and they're just basically dull all around. It's like we're all stuck in a waiting room, one with a lengthy wait. The day was a lot of not much - a little walking and weights, a little half-hearted waffling, a little backgammon, a lot of napping, a lot of starfishies, and a fair amount of speculation about tomorrow. Someone, probably Tyler, knew and shared how BB Canada does triples (three are nominated in the second round and hamsters vote to save one), but they wrote off a lot of the possibilities because they figured an hour isn't long enough to get too crazy. And to pile on even more disappointment, the narrator at the end of tonight's veto show did not say tomorrow's triple would be live. They made it through the day somehow, and had a low energy feeding frenzy around 10pm, with still two hours to go til Enzo and Kevin could join. There's seven of them in this screencap, one more than will be in there tomorrow at this time and while it looks crowded, it really isn't many to fill up the habitat. Along the way today, Christmas griped to Memphis about Dani doing her "eviction rounds" spending time with the nominees. And she said she wants to talk to David "to make sure if he stays, that he's not gonna do anything fucking dumb." Memphis agreed with her about Dani's hanging out with nominees being "annoying" - though some might call it jury management. They all continued nervousing and speculating about tomorrow's mystery, and feedsters kept complaining about the one surprise of the season being all but spoiled. Kevin's still due to walk the plank first tomorrow, and Christmas is a top target for quite a few of them now, as is Dani. But much will depend on who wins the HOH(s) and veto(s), and how the second and third evictions are structured.
