Day 82 - Sunday - October 25, 2020

Overnight report had all three speculating about who'll cut whom. Enzo did it on his own, now suspecting both will cut him but holding out hope that Cody would keep him. But the interesting convo was between Nicole and Cody. He acted surprised to hear the BB16 jury would have given him the win over Victoria if he'd taken her to the end (keyword: acted), and she said several times that she wouldn't feel bad placing second to him this time, adding that she would vote for him over herself. He said "so you're gonna cut me" (if she wins Part 3), and she replied "no, I'm not gonna cut you." Then he said "so you're gonna be like well fuck it, now I'm not - I'm taking that half of it," and she said "no no, I could never do that. You helped me so much in this game, I could never live with myself." Same back and forth they've been having for weeks, right? Except for the part about "taking that half of it." While they don't explicitly say here they'll split the $500k between them if they finish one-two, the implication seems clear. It's been assumed by many that they do have some sort of deal like that, but this is the first time I've heard them say it. And that's very much against the rules.

It is very, very unlikely to happen, but if production should disqualify both of them for making such a deal and choreographing the season around it, and thus give Enzo the win, it would somewhat redeem this disastrous season for a lot of fans. But again, it's so unlikely they'd do that, it hardly bears thinking about.

Back to our current story, it being a Sunday, BB let them stay in bed until afternoon again. Cody and Nicole played chess again, and bickered over it like children again. The three of them did yet another lengthy season rehash, Cody continued snorting snot and randomly shouting, he and Enzo ran and walked the upstairs balcony, and Nicole started working on her finals speech, aloud to herself. She said that was beginning to give her anxiety again, and she muttered that she knows she deserves to win, but she was apprehensive about having to convince the jury of that. She also said she doesn't know how she'll beat someone who has seven comp wins.

The rest of the day was the usual snacking and napping, broken up by occasional conversations, repetitive catch-phrases, and bad accents. Cody played several games of backgammon by himself, and Nicole set herself up as table centerpiece for a Cody and Enzo chess game. For some reason they'd talked themselves into believing BB would provide dinner for them tonight, but BB did not, so they had to feed themselves once again. A little before 11pm they were given a bottle of wine for their dinner, and around 1am they got three beers.

Usually at this stage, the final three herd together tightly so no two can talk without the third, and whenever one's called to Diary or takes a shower, the other two frantically psst-psst together. But the scenes are pretty much all set here, and that only happens when Nicole's away and Enzo gets wound up to Cody to push about the two of them as finalists. And Nicole pushes Cody for confirmation he'll take her when Enzo's away, and Cody fibs when Nicole asks if Enzo talked to him about it. Cody's still promising Nicole he'll take her but she repeatedly asks; Cody just goes along with Enzo's assumptions. So if Cody does win Part 3, he'll be disappointing one of them for sure. It might be in his best interest to throw it to Nicole, but he'll have to be pretty confident she won't snake him to do that.

Day 83 - Monday - October 26, 2020

These final days are reminiscent of when Memphis would get up hours before anyone else and rattle around by himself, only now it's Cody who's up first and it's noon (and later) rather than early morning. Today he played backgammon with himself again, narrating aloud as he went, usually in his bad British accent. I often think Ian would be pleased with how so many of them learned and enjoyed the game, but I wonder what he'd think of these Cody versus Cody tournaments. Nicole got up some time later and worked on her finals speech some more, aloud. Enzo started stirring around 4pm, muttering to himself in bed "fuck it man, third place."

Between napping and silence and bad accents, it was another tedious day of feeds. Even pranks fell to a new low, with Cody whispering "psst pssst pssstt Nicole Nicole" as she slept, then ducking behind the wall when she looked to see who it was. Only two were vertical at a time for much of the day, in various combos, and they again hoped for a dinner delivery that didn't arrive. Around 8.37pm, after some starfishies, Enzo said "wow that's insane yo, EVERYONE's flying out" so maybe they were told who from each of their families would be flown out for finale? If so, they may have been instructed not to talk about it as nothing else came up about that. But later Cody said nobody would be there on the premises, so who knows? We'll find out very soon.

A bit later they were given a bottle of wine and a deck of cards, so the three of them settled down to learn and play Hearts, Gin, Golf, Spoons, Screw Your Neighbor, Texas Hold'em. This being BB22, there didn't seem to be any games all three already knew how to play. Around 10.30pm they got a secondary booze delivery after their wine, same as last night: three beers.

Reminder, if you missed what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback!

Day 84 - Tuesday - October 27, 2020

Hamsters were roused at the crack o' noon for their next to last day, and our last full day of feeds. Nicole told Cody she was getting nervous and as she donned her not-Halloween mask, she went back to the lounge to work on her speech. She said she still doesn't know how to answer "why do you deserve to win over the person sitting next to you?" And she said "I-don't-even-want-to-say-her-name was immediately coming for me," regarding Janelle. She also said she figured pics of her skincare mask(s) would be all over the internet, and told us to "post Halloween jokes and mean jokes, go for it, I don't care." Meanwhile Cody's mirror routine is about hating his hair (length) these days. I guess it's the first time in a long while they haven't had someone who knows how to cut hair or decided to learn.

The rest of the day was more of the same nothing. They packed, they napped, they did nails, they snacked. They played cards, backgammon, puzzles, usually on their own. They walked the balcony and tossed balls. Cody talked in bad accents, Nicole narrated everything she did, and Enzo popped jokes to and with the others, while alternating between peptalks and defeat to himself. They begged for BB to deliver dinner that once again did not come. Cody and Nicole talked for awhile about leveraging their BB fame and turning it into social media dollars when they get out.

It was a team effort that took all three of them to deflate Moo-Lan the cow floatie so Enzo could pack her. Enzo also grabbed two duckies for Gia and Nico, and sent a late message to his ex to tell the kids if Cody or Nicole cut him tomorrow, it was because he'd beat them. And that they should turn away, because he's going to snap on whoever cuts him, "no more Mr Nice Guy tomorrow."

Feeds will likely formally end in the morning and then our long summer nightmare will come to an end. As always, thank you! for continuing to visit the site, especially those of you who send me goofs, pinkies, comedy, kind words, and donations. We've got another one under our BB belts :)

8th juror, 13th evicted, Day 79

Kevin put it best: he said she's got a lot of demons she hasn't dealt with, but she preaches like she has. She added her son's birth to the rotating, repetitive repertoire of Christmas-centric topics we heard last time. She often talked about her therapy but never mentioned it was court-ordered, and despite endless convos about herself she never brought up her felony car-ramming charges. She raved I'm gonna get shot shortly before nominating Bayleigh and Da'Vonne, but she hugged them and cried after she did. Then steam came out of her ears in the one major fight of the season, versus both of them, after she refused Tyler's 'send me home' plea. She advertised 'comp beast' but didn't deliver, she was a snotty winner and very sore loser, and she still doesn't have a shred of empathy or humility.

Won: Replay power (from Dani)
HOH 3 - Veto 1 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 1

7th juror, 12th evicted, Day 72

He fell flat on his face on premiere and he lost his temper in a big way early on when BB wouldn't turn off the Have-not lights. He wasn't big on pre-nom meetings as HOH, and he advertised a convoluted 'secret plan' one week, which turned out to be exactly what was expected: getting David out. He had it in for David for no good reason long before that, and he caused waves outside our BB world by allegedly using the n-word. He had a sore back for weeks and then a sore foot, so he hobbled around a lot. He was early to bed and early to rise, and had the reputation in there and out here of being an old man grandpa, even though he was exactly midway age-wise in the cast. He and Christmas bonded in later weeks and 'Memphmas' fanfic was a highlight of his final week.

Won: $5,000
HOH 2 - Veto 2 - Noms 1/0/1 - HN 1

6th juror, 11th evicted, Day 65

He again made multiple F2s, and landed in various versions of the intertwined big power alliances. He and Bayleigh worked out their issues and fell apart again a few times, and he tangled with Dani, a bad combo for him on top of David's early tell-all faux pas. He showed some entitlement about winning the season, but he told Bayleigh and Da'Vonne that he'd ask Christmas to veto-replace him for one of them so he could go home pre-jury, citing BLM as 'something greater' they were playing for, but his talk with Christmas was shamefully withheld from feeds so we'll never know how it truly unfolded. He bashed us feedsters, and he played hard if desperate at times, but his comp streak wasn't there and he wasn't in on the pre-season ground floor to get to the end.

Won: $5,000; Slop pass, home gym; Basement Replay power/used on Memphis
HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 1

5th juror, 10th evicted, Day 58

She said she wanted to take Janelle's BB Queen crown, but instead she probably damaged her BB reputation. Not only did she not win comps like she used to, but she failed to bring the entertainment factor. To be fair, she didn't whine and complain as much as her prior seasons, but she came close. She either didn't pre-game well or she changed her mind once she saw who all was in there, and when she talked too much too soon about turning on her allies, it was her undoing. She had to nominate four people in her disastrous HOH week, and inexplicably decided not to push for Tyler to go once she had him on the block, even though her original plan for the week was to boot him out the backdoor.

Won: $10,000; Basement Disruptor/gave himself immunity Week 6
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 4/0/0 - HN 2

4th juror, 9th evicted, Day 58

He got a lot of flak for not being an 'all-star' but many of them technically weren't, and he deserved another shot more than most first boots. He went farther than many expected, but that was mostly due to power group shufflings rather than his own doing, other than the save he earned himself with the Disruptor power. But he blew that by fake crying and bad lying, and he caused a number of rants when he took $10k rather than veto in OTEV. He was an erratic player, often seeming brilliant and clueless in the same moment, but he eventually worked himself into a decent social position against many odds, not the least being Nicole's vote lie. But Memphis finally got his way and got him gone.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 5/0/0 - HN 2

3rd juror, 8th evicted, Day 58

He went on the block at the start and never recovered. He wouldn't forgive his former idol Janelle from preferring Keesha stay that first week so he tattled on her, which helped to destroy all hope of the outliers banding together to take on the dominant power alliances. Then he became the pawn star and was nominated four more times, winning only one veto himself and once benefiting from Da'Vonne's win. He spent way too much time trying to analyze who was with whom, sometimes accurately but often way off, and he didn't do anything about it anyway. He was perky and snarky in Diary, but on feeds he was mostly miserable and mopey, rarely coming out of his Eeyore gloom.

Won: $5,000
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 2/0/0 - HN 2

2nd juror, 7th evicted, Day 51

Winning was one goal she didn't achieve, but she was highly successful with her other goal, to raise awareness of the extra challenges Black hamsters face in this game. Those goals conflicted when David tattled a confidence and again when she believed Nicole's lie blaming her vote on David. She made some messy game choices, but she made eloquent, impassioned block speeches, she had compelling in-depth convos, particularly with Kaysar, and she pointed out the frustrating facts when her point was repeatedly proven. She won a huge but teeny tiny veto, and she once again provided endless reaction memes and gifs. She was the heart and soul, and most of the entertainment, of this season.

Won: Safety Suit #2 (Christmas's win)/1 week space skits
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 2

1st juror, 6th evicted, Day 44

His plan to lay low at first was foiled by the ones who started gaming long before move-in, and his F2 with Nicole was only insurance on her part since she was tighter with the power group. Learning that broke him and it was downhill from there. He showed some entitlement about deserving to win but talked about his struggles learning to lose, which proved him vulnerable and human. He did a superb job with his skits, and talked openly about being on the spectrum, and it was so good to see him again. As before, I wish him well in all he does.

Won: 500 tricycle laps
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

5th evicted, Day 37

She and Tyler had their ups and downs, repairing their relationship from last time and breaking it up again, and that affected the game in various ways. Her friendship with Janelle was fun to watch, and her friendship with Da'Vonne was golden, the type that will likely last long after this season's forgotten. She gave yoga classes, and she rode 500 backyard laps on a tricycle as a veto repercussion, 40 with only one pedal, and BB didn't even put it on the show. Her great attitude riding those laps, mostly to spite her haters, was a joy to behold.

Won: Safety Suite #1
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0 - HN 1

4th evicted, Day 30

His BB strategy plans have always held promise but implementing them, not so much. But no matter: he was and is a class act, and he always brings the kind of much-needed humanity our feeds are usually lacking in a big way. It's too bad things didn't work out differently this time but it was great to see him on our feeds again, both for himself and for his fun friendship with Janelle.

Won: Safety Suit #1 (Kaysar's win)/1 week star
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

3rd evicted, Day 23

It was great to see her on feeds again, especially her easy friendship with Kaysar. She was BB6 Janelle again but without the in-your-face name-calling that would have made things more fun for us, but props to her for not going there. It's astounding how hard she was targeted just for showing up, proof that Janellousy is still real.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

2nd evicted, Day 16

Imagine going on BB and not wanting to work with Janelle and Kaysar. Having them to go bat for you, hard, and then throwing it back in their faces. It's mind-boggling. She was in way over her head this season, made one bad decision after another, and she repeatedly promised us a house meeting that she never delivered.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0

1st evicted, Day 9

She was feisty her first time around but like all of them, she's older and more mature now, and her birthday happened before they moved in, so we didn't get any new memorable Keesha scenes. But it was good to see her again and she got a nice check for two weeks isolation and one week of summer camp.

Feeds are streamed by CBS, and Flashback is accessible via All Access subscription. Call 888-274-5343 for account help, including cancellation.

The CBS app (by CBS Interactive) plays BB air shows and other CBS shows, as well as feeds, or you can use your browser to watch feeds on mobile devices. The same All Access link used to subscribe will lead to the feeds viewing page if you're already signed up.

BB22 finalist prizes are $500k for the winner and $50k for 2nd place. 3rd place gets $10k bonus, 4th place gets $7.5k, 5th place gets $5k. All got $40k for showing up, plus $1k stipend per week, including two weeks pre-season sequester.

The habitat has 94 HD cameras (no change) and 113 microphones (no change).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman. He and Julie Chen are the only staffers who have been there since Big Brother 1.
