Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 19 - Sunday - July 25, 2021

They're usually allowed a late start on Sundays but Derek F was up and at 'em with a backyard workout that included pushups, burpees, huffing and puffing. Azah later ran her loops to him about the silliness of this week's ruse, nobody was fooling Brent, Friday's Wildcard comp, and Azah's been left out of communications. Derek F acknowledged it's hard but assured her they're all still on the same page and the Cookout mission is still intact. Brent joined them and of course "girls alliance" came up. Azah joked she needs to start a woman alliance and she'll call it Hershey Kisses.

Alyssa told Britini she can't throw HOH to her unless she knows "where her head is at" re targets. Britini said she gets that, but she did not divulge her targets. The Tiffany/Azah tension continued, with Tiffany expressing her frustrations to Kyland, like she did last night to Xavier. Tiffany and Azah finally did have a chat, though I think they kept it light/surface rather than broach their bigger issues.

Britini led a water workout class in the pool with SarahB. Christian did some jumprope and did a couple backflips, followed by six burpee backflips. Impressive, but way to paint a target on his back. There usually aren't a lot of comps that are purely physical strength/stamina, but it only takes one to derail a lot of hamster plans.

Various meetings took place about next week and future plans. Team Queens met, and also came up with a team signal of holding cards close followed by putting on their crowns. Later Derek F, Kyland, Tiffany pretty much agreed their upcoming boot order would be Alyssa or Christian followed by the other, then Whitney. Kyland joked he hadn't even flirted with Alyssa yet. They decided Cookout was probably safe til jury at least. Elsewhere, Whitney told Hannah she wants Alyssa gone next, then SarahB.

Obviously there are a lot more gametalks than I cover here. It's too much for me to keep up with them all, so I try to catch and report the pertinent ones from the people I perceive to be running the game on a given day, and the ones that might have potential implications down the road.

The show came and went, and we learned Xavier's nomination speech that Britini keeps harping about wasn't anything awful at all. Britini realized we'd just seen the Wildcard show and said she hoped they showed some of her "kick-butt saves" in the Wildcard comp.. err, no. Xavier did his QAs for the show's socials, and the selfie camera came out for the rest of them. Derek X led interview skits, and he sounded pretty professional at it, at least early on. Whitney and Tiffany TP'd Xavier in his bed, while Derek X hollered "Dominate this man! Rapidfire: submissive or dominant? BDSM yes or no? Handcuffs yes or no?" Tiffany then reminded them viewers were fighting over toilet paper a year ago and here they were wasting it.

Remember how they planned for several days to do a prom last week? That never happened, but today they talked about doing a nightclub. Britini continued rehearsing her veto pitch for Christian, and getting good tips from Azah for that, which she may or may not use. Discussions about upcoming weeks hit lists raged on all over, and formal meetings started up again. Xavier and Team Kings met with each of the other teams, with Alyssa and Christian parked in his bed while he sat across the room. He opened to Jokers with an apology to Britini, and assured her it'll be 11-0 on Thursday and she'll stay. She said she wanted to meet later with Christian and Xavier anyway. In between, she realized they all but said the veto wouldn't be used, and she started having kittens again. Rewind, repeat.

Britini finally met with Xavier and Christian, but it wasn't much compared to the buildup. There were no demands about 21 Day Contingency Plan, unfair, or any of the rest of it she's been ranting about. There were references to Xavier's speech: "that's never been said about me before in my life" so something may have been edited out for us. There were a number of bullet points but Xavier finally said "we haven't been persuaded to use the power of veto" and that was that. Xavier told Christian when she left "she can NOT win HOH next week," and Britini went out to the yard in good spirits and got to work on her next rap. Derek F advised her to drop that and speak from the heart. She said she'll do that Thursday but tomorrow she wants something special. And she said it's the only fun she has in there.

They tried for another episode of The Big Blue Couch but it was delayed for improv skits, under Kyland's direction. They did not do their nightclub, but they got a booze delivery around 11.30pm and decided to save it for nightclub tomorrow.

Day 18 - Saturday - July 24, 2021

Veto players were drawn early: Christian (Xavier's HGC), Derek F, Whitney will play along with Xavier, Brent, Britini, and SarahB will host. Xavier continued emulating Kyland's HOH by holding yet another series of one-on-ones with everyone. All these pointless meetings are rapidly killing my interest, which was higher than usual. Brent's was comical though as he spewed forth his usual buffoonery, boasting about having been the number one target since day one, and how everyone was shocked when he was nominated. He suggested a meeting of the Radicals (Kings and Aces), and he pushed for Azah to be renom. Xavier played along, like he does. Later Brent said Alyssa and Christian were upset that he's on the block. If this guy ever manages to say something accurate, it'll be newsworthy.

Britini continued whining and ranting about being on the block again, it's not fair, nobody cares about her feelings, she's done nothing to deserve it, etc. (Doing nothing is exactly why she got pawned again - everyone else has been working.) She did do something when she stepped into the toilet and shouted through the closed door "IT'S OVER! IT'S ALWAYS OVER! WHO KEEPS DOING THIS!" about the TP roll. She then went around the house to ask everyone who did it. In all these years of roommate issues alongside gameplay, I don't think we've ever had someone make an issue about which way the toilet paper's hung. She also pitched a 21 Day Contingency Plan, expecting three weeks safety guarantee in exchange for her two weeks on the block. Azah told Derek F she wants to play like old school BB where open hostilities were part of the game, rather than all this tip-toeing around the target(s) and behind-the-back scheming. Hear hear!

Feeds were down from around 3.20pm to 5.40pm for the veto comp, which was Bowlerina, and Christian won. Brent and Kyland were both feeling bad afterwards and leaning into ice packs, as it was a hot day and there was puking. Apparently Xavier threw it to Christian when it came down to just them in the last round. It sounded like Brent kept getting picked so he was spinnier than most, and Derek F said he was glad he didn't puke and that he beat somebody (Whitney). Britini had a celebration dance/air guitar/hug with Christian in the pantry, but then launched into her loops: there's no reason she needs to sit a second entire week on the block when Xavier can easily put up someone else, and he needs to apologize to her for his speech, and she expected Azah and/or Derek F to deliver all this to Xavier for her.

Britini got increasingly wound up but Azah plus SarahB finally calmed her a bit and let her know she could make things worse if she's not careful, it actually wasn't that easy to name a third nominee for no real reason, and it could be bad for all concerned if someone else left instead of Brent. Meanwhile Xavier made suggestions to Christian for his Monday speech when he doesn't use it: "my teammate had a plan" and "I want to honor the HOH" and the like. More meetings are almost inevitable even though everything was long ago decided. Alyssa and Christian went back undercovers to smack and slurp some more.

A facial mask party broke out in HOH and Xavier, Kyland, Christian got into character as theirs were applied. They scared Tiffany with their zombie moves, and they carried it on downstairs with Xavier showing off his lawyer moves.

Brent, who'd earlier wandered off to bed with a puke bucket, revived enough to pitch to his Aces teamies, who had just been debating whether to warn him on Thursday or go for the blindside. They tentatively decided to let him know 15 minutes before the show. He said he hopes Christian doesn't use his veto as he was confident he'd stay over Britini. Blindsides are fun for us, but I don't really see the point of not telling him he's going. More than that, I don't understand why they're letting him keep boasting he's such a big game threat rather than telling him he's got to go because he's creepy and smarmy and making the women uncomfortable. A little education could do wonders for the boy.

A group discussion about genealogy led to a game of telephone, and from there to Mafia. The backyard finally opened and they ran out to celebrate fresh air and laundry. Tiffany and Claire had a pantry check-in, with Tiffany suggesting they try to find out if Derek X might be slipping away from them a bit as he's getting closer to Hannah. Xavier and Whitney snuggled and flirted in the hammock, and Brent and Alyssa ran another few rounds of their loops. Tiffany told Xavier about the tensions yesterday with Azah, and said she'll be cordial but she's more or less done with her, as Azah was playing too personal. Xavier said Azah is very empathetic and she's working on it within the game. Tiffany said "I will take my own advice and STFU." Xavier then went to HOH with Whitney where they flirted some more.

2nd evicted - Day 16

Cast reveal brought controversy plus a major Cody/Derrick mixup, and the feeds opened to him announcing he wouldn't put up a woman or minority, but then he put up Alyssa and Kyland, and it was downhill from there. He did everything a feedster should know not to do: shouting in Diary, talking in cliches, Bomb Squadding, pandering, power-tripping, mistaking BB history items, grandstanding, begging for a viewer save, and threatening to quit. Still, all that gave us a wild ride and super-chaotic first week of feeds that we'd never be able to piece together if we hadn't seen it unfold.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 0

1st evicted - Day 9

I barely know who he was. He dressed in drag (and looked okay doing so), he gave Kyland a birthday lap dance, took his shirt off for his nominee speech, and complained to Julie that white guys with abs are targets. And he didn't do much to prevent his eviction. That's all I got. Aloha.
