Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 68 - Sunday - September 12, 2021

The weekend scramble scrambled on. Last night after a lengthy Diary, Kyland told Xavier that Tiffany will go, but also said he might veto Hannah as a sign of trust with her, and put up Derek against Tiffany. Tiffany then met with Kyland and promised him the moon. (Hannah has planned to do the same.) This morning BB let them sleep til 10am, and Hannah had a check-in with Xavier. She told him she was expecting noms to stay the same and she downplayed herself, saying she figured she was interchangeable with Azah or Derek in everyone's minds. They planned a Hot Takes with Hannah chat for this evening, and apparently Kyland had planned one-on-ones for today - I'll have to give those a pass. Tiffany continued her apology/goodwill tour with Xavier, and then she had a pre-brunch cuddle check-in with Kyland in HOH, which was mostly chit-chat, her longtime wish to play the game, and finally season rehash plus some anti-Hannah items from Tiffany. And a little cheek peck from her when they decided they were hungry.

Hannah met with Kyland and they played out scenarios using chess pieces. She eventually offered the moon, again, if he'll use the veto on her. She also offered the moon if he keeps noms the same (minus voting the way he wants this week, obviously), or if he puts Azah next to her. But they agreed her future offers probably wouldn't mean anything as she'd likely be evicted if she's up against Azah. Brunch was finally served around 3.30pm, Azah taught Kyland how to make pizza dough, and Hannah and Xavier did another Hot Takes with Hannah. Azah and Kyland had a long convo about their college experiences, and about Black Mirror and other series. (BB tie-in trivia: Charlie Brooker, the guy behind Black Mirror, also made Dead Set, the zombie outbreak movie based in/around the BB UK house. It's now available on Netflix.) Tiffany continued her ongoing apology/goodwill tour with Derek.

Afternoon led into evening, like it does, and they all gathered for dinner by Azah which was centered around homemade pizza (crust and all) by Azah, which they loved. Afterwards they sat around the table chatting and rehashing the season, back to Week 1, and sharing fun moments and learning a few new tidbits. Kyland finally kicked off his meetings around 10pm, starting with Azah. He seemed to be considering putting Derek up and out, but Azah said she wouldn't vote him out over either Tiffany or Hannah, but then she said she'd vote how he wanted. I thought he said "probably Derek" but I couldn't make it out, but immediately after that he told her "welcome to final five" with a hug. He told Xavier he'll keep noms the same. He told Hannah he can't give her everything she wants, but "the next best thing you could ask for." He said he can't ensure a 3-0 vote "but unless something astounding happens, it seems like you're in final five." She asked if the two of them could still go forward with Tiffany, and he said there's nobody he can put up and be confident in the votes.

Next up was Tiffany, who'd actually gone to sleep in her bed but woke up when BB turned off the lights. Her meeting was horizontal and semi-entwined, but above the covers, and began with "how was your day?" Tiffany told Kyland about the Derek stop of her apology/goodwill tour, plus a whole lot of season review. She did say she'd talked to Azah about the vote, so I didn't stick around for Kyland to tell Tiffany she's staying on the block, as she already seemed to assume she would. And I didn't wait around for Derek's meeting either.

It was looking for a little while that Kyland might put up Derek to send him off to jury, but even though Azah said she'd vote how Kyland wants, she'd said before that she wouldn't vote out Derek, and this week needs two votes to evict. So as often happens in BB, a lot of talk and a lot of possibilities will probably boil down to the original plan which in this case means Kyland will likely keep noms the same, expecting Tiffany to go. Interwoven and overlapping deals aside, Derek in sixth place would be pretty fair since he already got $7,500 and fifth place is when the cash bonuses kick in, but here we are.

They were told the yard would be closing early in the morning, which it usually does on a Tuesday for a big Thursday build. Being a day early got them wondering, and me too. When Julie teased Thursday's double eviction two-hour show, she did not use the word "live" like she normally does. It's possible they'll tape that two hour show, maybe on Wednesday, which would line up with closing the yard Monday morning. Or they could be doing some special filler event, like they sometimes do late in a season. Reminder, normally when they do the late season taped eviction show, feeds go down from that afternoon until after the taped show airs in the west the next night. So that could be in our near future - we'll see.

Day 67 - Saturday - September 11, 2021

Tiffany talked with Azah about Kyland, and wondered if she should have trusted him more up to this point. Derek made breakfast, and they trickled out one by one until everyone was at the table. They made some guesses for what everyone's comics might be, and they shared some more season memories. Azah said she used to laugh when people cried on the feeds, and Tiffany told them about her convo letting Claire know she'd be nominated, and how well Claire took it. And they sent birthday wishes to Tiffany's son Christian.

Feeds were down exactly six hours for the veto comp, which Kyland won. Tiffany and Hannah looked noticeably down, understandably, but they rebounded to pose for group pics in their capes, as The Cookout League aka Blavengers. It was the traditional BB Comics comp: ride the zipline to see the comics, put their comics cards in correct order, and spot minor detail differences in each. Derek came in second again (he may have used a balance beam rather than zipline? I'm not sure), and Tiffany timed out. They talked more about their methods, performances, and problems than the comics at first, but what I got for them is below. I'll fill in the gaps if/when I hear them.

Alyssa: Bikini Genie - they didn't recognize her
Azah: Wizard of Azah - they loved it
Britini: Deny-ya-later
Brent: Zombie fright attendant
Christian: Flyptonite or Flip-toe-Knight - about his backflips
Claire: Claire Bear
Derek F: The Big Z - stomping and snoring
Derek X: Lord of the Latrine
Frenchie: Mr French - something like a spy? with Ranch dressing and Coke
Hannah: Oceana Hannah - with Hot Clam Chaddha and seashells
Kyland: The Kylander - like Highlander, in a kilt
SarahB: Sarah Breath - icy cold AF
Tiffany: Tiffy-toes or Tippy-toes - with foot rockets
Travis: something with a surfer? and kowabunga
Whitney: Glamour Slammer - makeup and her peekaboo gym top
Xavier: The X-plorer - from the dominoes veto comp

Tiffany told us it was okay she lost, she had something up her sleeve and she'll talk with Kyland later. They kept chatting about the comp and the comics, and they eventually made dinner and ate together. After eating, Azah suggested they have a moment of silence for 9/11, and they all joined hands around the table and bowed their heads.

Hannah told us her elaborate plan again, similar to what she pitched to Kyland before noms: she'll tell him if he uses veto on her, she'll vote how he wants and she'll use veto on him next week, and she'll offer an F2 to him. And she said she'll pitch an F3 to Kyland and Xavier after veto meeting. Meanwhile Xavier enthusiastically hyped up Kyland about his win and in general. And Tiffany wondered to us if Azah had been playing her. (Azah has been playing both sides, likely to stay on good terms with whoever wins any given comp: a true floater game.) Tiffany later began her apology/goodwill tour with Azah, talking about their relationship, their spat, and their games. Azah stayed uncharacteristically quiet but she did thank Tiffany for her actual apology. Hannah, Xavier, Derek talked about the jurors finding out about Cookout, who should tell them and how, and they wondered how they'll take it, particularly their individual partner/pawns.

5th juror - 10th evicted - Day 65

She stayed so stapled to Christian I didn't know much about her until his exit. They added a couple tally items, and then she shifted to sticking to Xavier's side til her own exit. She was surely aware of his crush on her but she didn't take advantage of it or even mention it (that I'm aware of). She was an active participant in group games and she co-hosted The Big Blue Couch skit/show with Derek F. Game-wise, her Diaries made her sound like she was on top of everything but her actions in the house didn't come across that way. She went out thinking she was responsible for Claire's eviction but she'll find out how that really unfolded soon enough. She won OTEV and Zingbot vetos, and a High Rollers week that put her partner Xavier on the block.

4th juror - 9th evicted - Day 65

She came in an alternate, with a brainy job rather than the influencer or model wannabes we often get, and a feedster with a dedicated BB Twitter account. She cozied up with fellow Queen Tiffany early on and they stayed tight to the end. Claire seemed capable of making big moves but didn't make any, possibly because of being under Tiffany's wing but unaware of her Cookout agenda (although she did touch on the possibility a couple times), and she even kept Tiffany's noms intact when she won the secret HOH. She also won safety 'til jury' which gave her a two-week pass. Her friendships with Tiffany and Derek X were fun and easy, with a lot of laughter, but she got along with most everyone, and she had fun with her week of 52 Pickup.

Won: $5,000; BB$250; Week 2 Wildcard; Week 3 safety; Movie guest

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0 - HN 1
+1 High Roller nom

3rd juror - 8th evicted - Day 58

This year's 'quirky girl,' she was one of many with a job/life lie, adjusting her drug testing/testifying to administrative assistant, but it ticked off some when she griped about quitting her job to be there. She won a paint splatter/memory Wildcard and a balance beam HOH, and she thought she was a badass villain by backdooring Derek X, but she was just doing Kyland's bidding. Tiffany gunned for her for weeks and that gave us moments like 'mistakenly' calling SB a sloth during a group animal game, and her 'fuck Sarah Beth and I said that shit' #FSBAISTS was an instant classic. SarahB spent much of her time laying around, usually entwined with Kyland, and she said viewers can 'wipe their butt with the BB bucks.'

Won: BB$200; 24 hr Lord of Latrine

HOH 1 - Veto 2 - Noms 0/1 - HN 2
TEAM ACES

2nd juror - 7th evicted - Day 51

He'd only seen two seasons and he didn't do much homework to know he'd signed up for a dirty game, but he was a quick study and saved himself with veto after being the probable first out. Then he won the following veto as well as an HOH, and he was a legitimate 'comp beast' threat. He was maneuvered into backdooring the other comp threat, Christian, on that HOH, and then SarahB was maneuvered into doing the same to him two weeks later. Again, homework might have helped. But he was well liked by most everyone in there and out here, he was a superb Lord of the Latrine and cockroach dancer, and he laughed a lot, something that's often missing on feeds.

Won: BB$100; Week 1 safety

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 3/1 - HN 1
TEAM JOKERS

1st juror - 6th evicted - Day 44

She went on the block four times, and she ranted, cried, and was a pretty bad sport about it. She only played the game around noms and voting times, so she didn't understand she kept going OTB because she didn't bother to find out what was going on, or to create allies beyond her Jokers team/roomies. The fact she was up against Cookout didn't help her any, but she could have done a lot more than she did, and she blamed her exit on a broken deal that was never struck. She rapped for Julie, and won a hard-fought veto, and broke in on Alyssa/Christian sexytime in HOH. She seemed to be playing a character much of the time, and she contributed a lot to their many skits and songs.

Won: Week 1 Wildcard + safety; Week 3 safety

HOH 1 - Veto 2 - Noms 0/1 - HN 2
TEAM KINGS Captain

5th evicted - Day 37

It was tricky to tell him apart from Travis at first, which wasn't helped by Christian changing his hair once or twice a day, and he often sounded like Victor Arroyo when he spoke. But that passed and soon it was easy to tell Christian was the loud one who was super-glued to Alyssa most of the time. He was sometimes fun and seems like a good guy, but he made no secret of his physical abilities, including doing six backflip/burpie combos in a row one day, just because he could. Those abilities were largely what got him the boot, since he also proved he could put them into action, even when he didn't need to.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1
TEAM ACES Captain

4th evicted - Day 30

Apparently she spent a few hours on Twitter and she selected one of my tweets to complain about being villainized, slut shamed, and hated. My tweet was factual, with a touch of snark, but none of that stuff. Maybe she forgot what she signed up for, and I'm sure she's having a tough re-entry, but after having hate for her flung into my mentions every day (as all updaters get, for each of them) to then get called out publicly for what I didn't do, I'll just go with Mariah's 'I don't know her.'

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1
TEAM ACES

3rd evicted - Day 23

At cast reveal I thought international flight attendant would mean great people skills, but no. He came in boasting of charm but it didn't last long. His talk about girls and dating, and his behavior towards several women in there, were problematic and bound to get worse if he'd stayed. He was happy to be Frenchie's lieutenant for the chaotic first week but then Brent turned on him and practically denied ever being with him. He had zero self-awareness about all this and the edits skewered him as they did Frenchie, proving once again if you do clownery, you'll get the clown music.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0
TEAM JOKERS Captain

2nd evicted - Day 16

Cast reveal brought controversy plus a major Cody/Derrick mixup, and the feeds opened to him announcing he wouldn't put up a woman or minority, but then he put up Alyssa and Kyland, and it was downhill from there. He did everything a feedster should know not to do: shouting in Diary, talking in cliches, Bomb Squadding, pandering, power-tripping, mistaking BB history items, grandstanding, begging for a viewer save, and threatening to quit. Still, all that gave us a wild ride and super-chaotic first week of feeds that we'd never be able to piece together if we hadn't seen it unfold.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1 - HN 0
TEAM QUEENS

1st evicted - Day 9

I barely know who he was. He dressed in drag (and looked okay doing so), he gave Kyland a birthday lap dance, took his shirt off for his nominee speech, and complained to Julie that white guys with abs are targets. And he didn't do much to prevent his eviction. That's all I got. Aloha.
