Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 71 - Wednesday - September 15, 2021

As predicted here, tomorrow's double eviction will be taped today. This was all but "officially" confirmed when hamsters were woken before 8am, then feeds went to adoptable anipals shortly after. We had a quick peek of Tiffany gathering her things to pack and then feeds, and Tiffany, were gone. Last night the guys never told her she'd be going, and she turned down not one but two invitations from Kyland to go upstairs to HOH to talk and sleep over.

Around 9.30am this morning, audio leaked onto feeds of hamsters listening to music, including the entirety of Rihanna's Disturbia, in HOH lockdown, and random people chatting on the other side. Those randos were the stand-ins for the hamsters for the show tech rehearsal, which they do each week to get timing, camera angles, etc right for the show. Live TV is still a big deal and those details are important, especially timing. They might be staffers, or they might be day actors - it would be interesting to find out.

Pictured here is Dan's stand-in when we had a short tech rehearsal leak on BB14 finale morning.

Then we heard someone reading Julie's script for the veto comp, which will be true/false What the Bleep. There was no Tiffany stand-in so she would have already been evicted in their rehearsal. Kyland's stand-in won that veto comp, and at least one of the stand-ins said "should have been Hannah." For anyone thinking they'd stretch a normal double to two hours tomorrow night, that doesn't seem to be the case since the veto comp will be a simple booth one, and Julie's stand-in told them to "get inside, right now" for the next stage when they finished.

The show then tweeted that feeds would be down until after tomorrow's show ends in the west (so 10pm Pacific/1am Eastern). They called it "tomorrow's live eviction episode" which is unusual and rather clunky wording. We'll find out what that second hour's about, and if they'll revive someone or not, when we find out.

Day 70 - Tuesday - September 14, 2021

The nominees' luggage arrived, adding further fuel to the theory that eviction will be taped ahead, but Hannah, who also thought eviction would be early (though not necessarily taped) said she'd gotten confirmation it's still Thursday. Yet for some hamster-logic reason, meetings and pitches kicked off in earnest. Intense one-on-ones kicking off was also odd since the guys (in various pairs) agreed last night to let Tiffany know she'd be going, rather than waiting til right before the eviction.

Tiffany told us Kyland hadn't taken her deal so she'd offer it to Xavier, "maybe even sweeter." She told him Kyland wanted to build his resumé by booting her, and said he has deals with Derek and Hannah. She said Kyland's currency in there is information, hers is honesty, and Xavier's is loyalty and trust. She offered Xavier "unconditional loyalty and unconditional respect" to the end, and "100% loyalty" where he only has partial from Azah, Derek, Kyland. She said it would be a risk for him to keep Hannah, but a chance to keep her, adding a risk is a chance to lose but a chance is an opportunity to win. Xavier thanked her for expanding their talk from yesterday, and said he'll think about it, and "thank you for giving me homework." And she said she wasn't just spewing words because it's BB and deals can be broken, and said she hadn't made that offer to anyone else.

Elsewhere, Derek basically told Azah (and her intriguing mirror-hair) they were both on their own now, they'd achieved their goal and gotten to this point, and now it was all Cookouts for themselves. And they got into a little spat over which of them had done more and thus "deserved" to go farther. Hannah talked with Derek, saying the two of them plus Azah were considered interchangeable versus the power players Tiffany, Kyland, Xavier. Hannah said she wouldn't put Derek and Azah on the block together but if that happened because there was no other choice, she'd break a tie to keep Derek. And Hannah boosted Derek's ongoing routine that he'd started Cookout.

And Hannah pitched to Xavier, but without offering any concrete deals like Tiffany had. She did say she'd love to sit next to him at the end. They talked about Derek's worries about sitting next to a woman at the end and agreed it was disrespectful and insulting to the very bright female jurors. They also agreed Derek had played a good social game but scoffed at his claims that he can win against anyone. Xavier referenced Tiffany telling Derek that he'd lose to Xavier, and he said he thought that had shaken Derek (true). They agreed Derek was the JC of this season.

Hannah and Tiffany both had meetings with each of the three voters, with occasional quick Kyland check-ins between. Derek then asked Xavier to HOH to compare notes, Derek from Kyland's bed as Xavier paced. They shared that Tiffany pitched working with Azah and each of them, to each of them. Xavier did not share the total loyalty/F2 pitch that Tiffany offered him, but they talked as if she'll still be the one to go. Derek said he'd told her he was leaning towards keeping Hannah, and Xavier said he'll consider both nominees' pitches, and would probably let Tiffany know tonight or early tomorrow.

Meetings and pitches over, they quickly got bored again and decided to play Cops and Robbers, a glorified two-on-four version of hide 'n seek. Cop Xavier ran around with a banana gun, but Tiffany used a sweet potato. They played a number of rounds with some creative hiding places and some not so much. In the first round, Azah crawled into a tiny kitchen cupboard - note the open door - and Hannah literally dragged her out and across the floor to the "jail" chairs. It was some good fun.

Azah got busy making a new study board, with cake sprinkles. Tiffany gave Derek some truths when he sat down to join her and her Bible. He talked again how he'd like to get some kind of showbiz gigs after this. She said very matter-of-factly "America's not gonna be happy with you guys.. like of all the people? Seriously? They got rid of Tiffany? Wow, we liked the Cookout until they did that." Derek giggled, uncomfortably (or maybe I read into that), and said "damn, Tiff's now taking all the fans, everything with you" and some other mutterings I couldn't catch. Then she added "y'all gonna get some backlash" and "they already told y'all, Hannah who?" (referring to her zing), and "no one would be mad, they do not know who she is." That's an understatement for feedsters, but maybe not so much casuals.

Dinner was tacos and fajitas by Kyland, and a lot of lively conversation that included whether the word "bitch" was acceptable or not, and under what circumstances (timely, since that word's been used about the women behind their backs, and not always in a good way), plus laughs about funny Cookout moments, and some sharing of growing up experiences. Unfortunately there were a lot of feeds blocks through most of it. Kyland told Xavier he'll ask Azah to vote out Tiffany, to see if she really will vote like he wanted as she'd offered, and he suggested to Xavier the two of them try to tag-team their Tiffany farewells to let her know they've been working together. Derek asked Xavier if he has a final two deal with Kyland, as Tiffany said. Xavier said they'd talked about it but never formalized it because "we've always felt like we're in synch." (They did formalize it.) Kyland and Xavier both talked about letting Tiffany know she's going but both visited her and neither did. She reiterated her extensive pitch to Xavier who seemed like he may have been interested, but the Cookout guys have had a 'bros before hos' mentality all season, I can't see them changing that now.

If they are indeed taping Thursday's show tomorrow (I wasn't fully convinced by Hannah's earlier comment), this could be Tiffany's last night on feeds. Unless they're doing a revival of Thursday's evictees and she wins her way back in, of course. That's all just speculation, of course.

IF YOU MISSED what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback!

Day 69 - Monday - September 13, 2021

Tiffany and Kyland kept talking until the very wee hours again but she didn't accomplish anything: Kyland did not use his veto. They did the veto meeting a lot earlier than usual, around 9am, and Tiffany's speech was something like she knew she's his target but if she stays, she's coming for him. They all said they liked it, and she said she had trouble getting it out without laughing. She and Hannah both seemed in good spirits when feeds came back, Azah was back in her bed, and Xavier came out of the toilet stall very, very sniffly.

There's still no indication why the yard was closed so early, or even why they did the veto meeting early, but as I posted on Sunday's page, I kind of suspect they'll record this week's double eviction on Wednesday. (And maybe they'll use that second hour for Thursday's two evictees to comp onstage and one will be revived.. maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part.) Whether it's for early comp builds or some other activity for Thursday's show, they may have done the veto meeting early to prevent any building noise from leaking into the veto meeting.

Lots of studying of days and events continued, including Hannah/Xavier and Kyland/Derek pairings. Tiffany told Derek she thought Xavier would win against anyone, including him, which seemed to surprise Derek. She later made a campaign pitch to Xavier, mostly focusing on being a shield for him if she stays rather than exposing him for Kyland to take out if she goes, and she said Hannah would come after him (Xavier). And she asked him to let her know if it looked like there was going to be no chance to stay so she could just enjoy her last days, and her son wouldn't stress. (That warning has been requested but not given all season, until eviction day afternoon - it'll be interesting to see if that changes now it's just Cookouts left.) Xavier said he had been leaning toward keeping Hannah but he could be persuaded, and he said she gave a good pitch, and he reminded her of when she wanted to flip the Christian vote and they almost had.

Derek and Xavier had a very extended talk session in HOH, featuring a lot of Xavier pacing and a lot of Derek harping on Tiffany telling him he couldn't win. Tiffany and Hannah played chess for a long time, mostly silently. Azah made chicken pot pie from scratch, and Kyland bounced around between the kitchen and HOH. They ate together again, and enjoyed it, and talked about various topics during and after, including TV shows and other countries' BBs - they got a lot wrong on the latter, but at least they're aware there are other BBs besides this one, which casts of many seasons do not. The selfie camera came out again and Derek interviewed them individually about their comics and Cookout achieving its mission. Hannah met with Kyland to once again offer him the moon for the coming eviction cycles.

Xavier, Derek, Kyland had a convo about how sexually frustrated they've become. Kyland later told Derek that Tiffany had asked that they let her know if she's leaving, and he said it's probably not a good idea to send out the first Cookout juror feeling blindsided, or angry. Derek agreed, and said he'd tell her he had promised his vote to Hannah.

5th juror - 10th evicted - Day 65

She stayed so stapled to Christian I didn't know much about her until his exit. They added a couple tally items, and then she shifted to sticking to Xavier's side til her own exit. She was surely aware of his crush on her but she didn't take advantage of it or even mention it (that I'm aware of). She was an active participant in group games and she co-hosted The Big Blue Couch skit/show with Derek F. Game-wise, her Diaries made her sound like she was on top of everything but her actions in the house didn't come across that way. She went out thinking she was responsible for Claire's eviction but she'll find out how that really unfolded soon enough. She won OTEV and Zingbot vetos, and a High Rollers week that put her partner Xavier on the block.

4th juror - 9th evicted - Day 65

She came in an alternate, with a brainy job rather than the influencer or model wannabes we often get, and a feedster with a dedicated BB Twitter account. She cozied up with fellow Queen Tiffany early on and they stayed tight to the end. Claire seemed capable of making big moves but didn't make any, possibly because of being under Tiffany's wing but unaware of her Cookout agenda (although she did touch on the possibility a couple times), and she even kept Tiffany's noms intact when she won the secret HOH. She also won safety 'til jury' which gave her a two-week pass. Her friendships with Tiffany and Derek X were fun and easy, with a lot of laughter, but she got along with most everyone, and she had fun with her week of 52 Pickup.

Won: $5,000; BB$250; Week 2 Wildcard; Week 3 safety; Movie guest

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0 - HN 1
+1 High Roller nom
TEAM KINGS

3rd juror - 8th evicted - Day 58

This year's 'quirky girl,' she was one of many with a job/life lie, adjusting her drug testing/testifying to administrative assistant, but it ticked off some when she griped about quitting her job to be there. She won a paint splatter/memory Wildcard and a balance beam HOH, and she thought she was a badass villain by backdooring Derek X, but she was just doing Kyland's bidding. Tiffany gunned for her for weeks and that gave us moments like 'mistakenly' calling SB a sloth during a group animal game, and her 'fuck Sarah Beth and I said that shit' #FSBAISTS was an instant classic. SarahB spent much of her time laying around, usually entwined with Kyland, and she said viewers can 'wipe their butt with the BB bucks.'

Won: BB$200; 24 hr Lord of Latrine

HOH 1 - Veto 2 - Noms 0/1 - HN 2
TEAM ACES

2nd juror - 7th evicted - Day 51

He'd only seen two seasons and he didn't do much homework to know he'd signed up for a dirty game, but he was a quick study and saved himself with veto after being the probable first out. Then he won the following veto as well as an HOH, and he was a legitimate 'comp beast' threat. He was maneuvered into backdooring the other comp threat, Christian, on that HOH, and then SarahB was maneuvered into doing the same to him two weeks later. Again, homework might have helped. But he was well liked by most everyone in there and out here, he was a superb Lord of the Latrine and cockroach dancer, and he laughed a lot, something that's often missing on feeds.

Won: BB$100; Week 1 safety

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 3/1 - HN 1
TEAM JOKERS

1st juror - 6th evicted - Day 44

She went on the block four times, and she ranted, cried, and was a pretty bad sport about it. She only played the game around noms and voting times, so she didn't understand she kept going OTB because she didn't bother to find out what was going on, or to create allies beyond her Jokers team/roomies. The fact she was up against Cookout didn't help her any, but she could have done a lot more than she did, and she blamed her exit on a broken deal that was never struck. She rapped for Julie, and won a hard-fought veto, and broke in on Alyssa/Christian sexytime in HOH. She seemed to be playing a character much of the time, and she contributed a lot to their many skits and songs.

Won: Week 1 Wildcard + safety; Week 3 safety

HOH 1 - Veto 2 - Noms 0/1 - HN 2
TEAM KINGS Captain

5th evicted - Day 37

It was tricky to tell him apart from Travis at first, which wasn't helped by Christian changing his hair once or twice a day, and he often sounded like Victor Arroyo when he spoke. But that passed and soon it was easy to tell Christian was the loud one who was super-glued to Alyssa most of the time. He was sometimes fun and seems like a good guy, but he made no secret of his physical abilities, including doing six backflip/burpie combos in a row one day, just because he could. Those abilities were largely what got him the boot, since he also proved he could put them into action, even when he didn't need to.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1
TEAM ACES Captain

4th evicted - Day 30

Apparently she spent a few hours on Twitter and she selected one of my tweets to complain about being villainized, slut shamed, and hated. My tweet was factual, with a touch of snark, but none of that stuff. Maybe she forgot what she signed up for, and I'm sure she's having a tough re-entry, but after having hate for her flung into my mentions every day (as all updaters get, for each of them) to then get called out publicly for what I didn't do, I'll just go with Mariah's 'I don't know her.'

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1
TEAM ACES

3rd evicted - Day 23

At cast reveal I thought international flight attendant would mean great people skills, but no. He came in boasting of charm but it didn't last long. His talk about girls and dating, and his behavior towards several women in there, were problematic and bound to get worse if he'd stayed. He was happy to be Frenchie's lieutenant for the chaotic first week but then Brent turned on him and practically denied ever being with him. He had zero self-awareness about all this and the edits skewered him as they did Frenchie, proving once again if you do clownery, you'll get the clown music.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0
TEAM JOKERS Captain

2nd evicted - Day 16

Cast reveal brought controversy plus a major Cody/Derrick mixup, and the feeds opened to him announcing he wouldn't put up a woman or minority, but then he put up Alyssa and Kyland, and it was downhill from there. He did everything a feedster should know not to do: shouting in Diary, talking in cliches, Bomb Squadding, pandering, power-tripping, mistaking BB history items, grandstanding, begging for a viewer save, and threatening to quit. Still, all that gave us a wild ride and super-chaotic first week of feeds that we'd never be able to piece together if we hadn't seen it unfold.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1 - HN 0
TEAM QUEENS

1st evicted - Day 9

I barely know who he was. He dressed in drag (and looked okay doing so), he gave Kyland a birthday lap dance, took his shirt off for his nominee speech, and complained to Julie that white guys with abs are targets. And he didn't do much to prevent his eviction. That's all I got. Aloha.
