Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 19 - Sunday - July 24, 2022

Catching up last night, Taylor finally made it to the much-anticipated meeting at 1.16am. Joseph stayed on babysitting/distracting duty downstairs but eventually joined. The meeting began with Monte practically interrogating Taylor about past events and current plans but they soon got around to informing her about what's been going on, including how the girls had banded together and against her practically since move-in, initially under Paloma's leadership, and they ratted out Alyssa, Nicole, Ameerah in particular for prior crimes. They practically admitted they'd all been ready to boot Taylor last Thursday until Ameerah worked up everyone to evict Pooch instead to weaken those not in the girls' alliance. That was an interesting angle to present - I don't think they realized they were admitting most of them had been part of the anti-Taylor mob until 24 hours ago. Feedmasters dropped the ball in a big way by not having a camera on Taylor for a long time but they finally found her.

They said the girls were expecting to get rid of Taylor this week with everyone on board, and they told her Nicole picked her as her Bestie to help sabotage her. Taylor said the only thing that really surprised her about all of it was Terrance's involvement. Monte did not admit he'd also been a charter member of the anti-Taylor crusade, so he didn't apologize for his part in it.

Brittany was giddy about "the outsiders" finally banding together and pointed out it rarely happens in BB. (She actually used the term outsiders repeatedly, when that's the name for the trio of her, Michael, Kyle.) Taylor had two questions. She asked Kyle what about Alyssa? He said they like each other but this was his priority. He said maybe something would happen with Alyssa later but he was putting the game above a showmance. And Taylor asked which four would they take to jury? They said they hadn't thought about that, but agreed Alyssa and Terrance would be okay to keep around until F7, and beyond that they'd focus on removing the bigger threats first: Ameerah, Daniel, Nicole. Taylor said she was in, they agreed to call themselves the Leftovers, and everyone hugged her and each other. Joseph told her "you're not a shield, you're part of this alliance." And they did a hands-in-and-up, with Monte saying "it's time for the Leftovers to take over."

Joseph was trending #4 USA on Twitter about then, and Leftovers at #10. Within ten minutes Leftovers was #3 ("trending with Joseph, and Taylor"), and 20 minutes later Leftovers was #2, surpassing Wakanda Forever and Marvel.

Unless word gets out, Ameerah/Terrance going on the block tomorrow will be a blindside, so stock up the popcorn and clear your calendar. Turner said he was willing to take the heat for that, confident Leftovers will save him in future if there's retaliation for that.

Daytime was mostly quiet, with small group chats here and there, both game and personal. A number of them were hanging out in the bathroom at one point when Jasmine let out a squeal. Heads snapped and asked if she was okay, did she fall off her chair in there, but she said she was good. Nicole prepped to jump-scare Kyle but he took his time getting back to her, even approaching several times before backtracking again. He finally came through the doorway, she jumped, he was startled. Kyle talked a bit with Taylor about studying, and both agreed they needed to get the comps memorized as well as counts for house decor items.

Monte and Turner had a long convo, with Turner talking a lot about having learned how to get past domestic violence he endured as a kid. He said there weren't many resources available to him at the time, and he acknowledged that internet resources for that kind of thing can get "pretty dark" but outlets to help kids going through similar are a lot more accessible now. It was a deep and valuable conversation. The yard finally opened and most went out to enjoy the pool, sunshine, and fresh air. Taylor chatted and interacted with various people here and there, and also spent a lot of time alone in her bed, as her "role" for the day was to act sad and resigned to face her doom tomorrow. Heh.

Nicole and Taylor talked while the two-hour show was on, so I missed it and didn't flashback but by all accounts Nicole was condescending and gaslighting, and she told Taylor to watch for self-awareness and social cues. Later Nicole told Daniel she'd overheard Taylor telling someone she and Nicole are cool now, and Taylor trusts her again. Nicole wasn't pleased about that, and added "she needs to go." Workout o'clock cycled around again, with Monte and Joseph each taking a group to lead. Indy brought out the selfie cam and everyone posed for it and some stuck out tongues, like they do. Daniel said the house looks great in the cam pics, and said "it explains all these bright ass lights." The guy's in show biz, he should know how lighting works? Whatever. The video camera also came out along with cards with question prompts, and Turner proceeded to do hamster interviews. Brittany then took the camera on a house tour. Maybe she didn't know Joseph did that last week.

Gnats invaded the backyard. I'm pretty sure they were sent ahead by Team Ants to determine if it's time to storm the habitat, or if they should wait a bit longer.

Nicole retold her version of her chat with Taylor a few more times of course, and Taylor bashing ensued of course. Michael and Brittany met in Have-not to discuss the veto meeting: what to say, who should say what, etc. Michael said they'll ask Turner if there's anything he wants them to add since they're planning to play it innocent and act shocked like the blindsidees, with Turner voluntarily taking the heat for making it happen. Michael told Brittany about Paloma asking him to be the sixth in her six person alliance that evolved into Po's Pack and Brittany told him about Girls Girls, both confessions in case Ameerah or others refer back to those early alliances and cry betrayal. Both said they never felt part of those alliances, a theme Brittany's brought up multiple times. Brittany parroted several of Nicole's phrases about Taylor which was surprising, but both made it clear they aren't Nicole fans. Michael's surely aware that the guys brought in him and Brittany, and Taylor, at least partially to use them for numbers, but he didn't voice that to Brittany, luckily, or she'd run with it. And they had a good lengthy chat about now and future plans. Brittany seems happy to finally be in the game, and it took a minute but Michael's no longer spilling everything to her.

Prep your popcorn hamsterwatchers, it all pops off tomorrow! Feeds are usually back from veto meeting around 1pm BB/Pacific, but allow some leeway either way.

Day 18 - Saturday - July 23, 2022

In overnight action, Joseph, Kyle, Monte, Turner compared notes and realized the girls were gunning for Taylor and then for them. They formed The Pound and hoped to rope in Taylor, Brittany, Michael to fight the steamroll that's already begun. Monte said Ameerah was the one behind getting Pooch out, and Joseph said Ameerah "basically bullies" Brittany and Michael when Turner asked about that relationship. They agreed they'd like to get Ameerah on the block and out this week, if possible.

Nicole/Taylor were picked to play veto, making that plan more of a possibility to play out, if Taylor wins veto and has the say to use it for the duo (on Brittany/Michael). Birthday boy Joseph will host. He met with Taylor who was happy she and Nicole were picked, and she told him she knows she has to win. He said if she does it'd be a bargaining chip to talk with Turner. Ameerah, Jasmine, Alyssa, Nicole - with Kyle in hearing distance - wanted to know why Taylor "called" Joseph to talk. He explained to them that she hadn't, that they weren't talking game, and he was giving her a motivational talk. Girls were suspicious and psst-psst'd about it all, and the guys lied to them when questioned.

Nicole came out of Diary crying and went to her room. Others assumed she got bad news about her mom and they sat awkwardly silent waiting to find out. Nicole told Daniel it wasn't that, and she rebounded back to gaming mode to tell him she can't have Michael in jury because he knows she's an ex cop. She said everyone in the jury would know and that would hurt her chances when [if] she's one of the final two. Taylor told Monte she's "not a very religious person but would you mind saying a prayer for her? I just want her to be okay." At almost the same time, Daniel told Nicole if viewers think he's "a fuckin asshole" he'll just apologize for it later, and say Taylor was a "shitty person" (full quote is below in Lines of the Day). Indy prayed with Nicole, and Nicole said a bit later "I know that I would never leave this game, or anything for at matter, for circumstances that I can't control."

Feeds were down from approx 1pm to 6.15pm for veto comp as well as a fight/confrontation before they played. Michael/Brittany won the comp which was played as duos. The confrontation wasn't on feeds but it involved Daniel and Nicole versus Taylor, separately I think. The comp was mental and physical, placing pieces from aerial harnesses, and they played as duos with one player hoisting up their Bestie with a pulley system. Apparently Jasmine nearly passed out so she bailed, so Turner had to bail with her. Host Joseph had a peace symbol necklace and competitors had tie-dye button-up shirts over matching tees or tanks. Not regulation hippie garb but whatever.

The confrontation was confusing because we only had retells. Apparently Daniel told Taylor what he'd previously said behind her back, that "what happened to Paloma and how it impacted her" was because of Taylor. Nicole spun her side to Ameerah as "I didn't insult her, I didn't talk down to her, I didn't belittle her" but Kyle later said Taylor had been genuine and Nicole "chewed her up" for ten minutes. Joseph talked to Taylor and suggested she be proactive about having been "misunderstood" in there since the start, but it sounded like he knew exactly what's been going on all along - things he also explained to the Pound guys overnight.

Taylor told Terrance what Daniel said, and he asked if she'd told Daniel she "turns into a new person just because she can." Taylor said "is that how he..? Oh my God." She said she'd told Daniel the game is interesting because she's a loving sweet person outside of BB, and she told Terrance her secret was that she'd won Miss Congeniality at Miss USA. Taylor later told Ameerah that secret, Ameerah asked who votes for that, and Taylor told her the other girls. Ameerah asked if she could share that tidbit and Taylor said yes. Taylor made rounds with Michael, and Monte, that she'd said something that hurt somebody she cares for in there, and she wanted to give them space now so she can make amends with them later. And she cited Cookout as being her inspiration to go on the show, and to not be represented as an angry stereotype.

Joseph laid groundwork with Michael about the plan to renom Ameerah and Terrance and boot Ameerah, but he only dropped Ameerah's name and not the guys'. Things calmed down and a strip checkers/bumper pool tournament broke out with Kyle, Turner, Michael, Alyssa. Terrance and Monte agreed "that wasn't the time" for the confrontation, but I'm unclear who they were pointing fingers at. They did say something about "easy target" which would imply Taylor. Monte didn't say anything about the Pound plan - obviously, as it would put Terrance on the block along with target Ameerah. He did do some fishing to see if Terrance would admit Ameerah's part in Pooch's demise, but Terrance didn't bite. Nicole told Daniel that Monte is ex cop or ex military, and they decided Joseph might be a firefighter. Joseph laid groundwork about the Plan again, with Brittany.

Kyle started talking with Michael and Turner in HOH about the Plan, saying they have the votes to get out anyone they want this week, and said they'll meet later with Monte to discuss everything. Michael said Ameerah's smart and could win the game. They agreed Taylor's been treated unfairly and thought they could pull her in, and Kyle said Alyssa's told him a lot. Kyle asked Michael if he felt Brittany's trustworthy and loyal, and he said he thought so. She joined just then, followed by Joseph, and Kyle and Joseph co-chaired the meeting. They all compared notes about having been told by Ameerah and the girls what was going on up til now without having any input, the unfair treatment of Taylor, and Kyle told them Alyssa had spilled about Old Skool to him, so they need to be careful not to use those words, "look what happened with Oasis." They also compared notes about the retells they'd heard about today's confrontations and how they varied greatly depending who was telling. At one point Brittany asked Turner what he thought about it all (recall they had a pinkyswear awhile back which turned out to be meaningless to him, but she may still have faith in it, even though he put her on the block yesterday.) Turner said he agreed with everything that had been said. Alyssa and Ameerah joined, and Indy, and that was that until they meet later with Monte and possibly Taylor as well.

The Pound guys waited and waited for Taylor to free herself from Jasmine's gastrointestinal and other stories, and she finally made it up to HOH at 1.16am. I'll catch that up tomorrow.

IF YOU MISSED what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback!

Ratings - Anybody Want Cake? edition

Ratings are Sunday's, based on entertainment value, jump-started by Joseph's 25th birthday

Noms count: original/renom

Ups for not blocking feeds Thursday thru Sunday night, as most of us expected they'd do. And doubly so considering how much has happened since Thursday. Like Frenchie's HOH week, we'd never have been able to piece it all together on retells alone.

Ups too for the apparent new policy to shift feeds to a different room rather than WBRB for things they deem problematic. Yes, their problematic is often different than ours, but it's a big change and very welcome.

Won: Week 1 Backstage Pass

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 1

Spilling her girls' secrets to Kyle was a big piece of the puzzle that Leftovers were missing. She'll be surprised to learn Kyle ran with some of that stuff. Welcome to BB.

Won: TBA

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

She's being named 'the head of the snake' and the biggest threat to Leftovers, and while she was instrumental in the flip to boot Pooch rather than Taylor, she's not as ultimately dangerous to them as Nicole, in my opinion. Regardless, Ameerah's going to have a shock on Monday when she lands on the block.

Won: Week 1 Backstage Pass; Week 1 viewer safety vote

HOH 0 - Co-Veto 1 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0

She went from having a solo meltdown because she was in over her head and on her own, to being a sourpuss for much of Joseph's birthday, and then she was giddy and overjoyed at landing on a team. Now all she needs to do is keep quiet about it. They may have to lock her in a room somewhere like BBAU did with Reggie so she wouldn't say the wrong things to the wrong people. That may sound cruel but hey, it eventually worked out okay for Reggie (she won).

Won: TBA

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 1

He acts like he's the star but his actual role is being Nicole's attack dog. A very vicious attack dog. He's gone so far over the lines of common decency so often, it's some of the nastiest stuff we've ever seen on BB, and that's saying a lot. He's an inch away from getting a premature empty wheel.

Won: TBA

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 1

It'll be interesting to see how she handles this week's events after the dust settles. She's kind of game adjacent which could work in her favor since she's not in the Leftovers' current cross-hairs like her cronies are.

Won: Week 3 immunity (HOH Bestie)

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

Many are hating her out here but I find her comical, especially the difference between her feeds self and her Diary self. What is that even about? She's not been as horizontal as much of the time as she was last week in HOH but she still doesn't get around all that much. #JasmineStories keep coming and again, I'm not gauging truthfulness of them or not, but it's starting to seem unlikely they all are - there's just too many of them. Her reactions and retells after her BB Bestie puts up Ameerah and Terrance are likely to be among the most popcorn-worthy.

Won: TBA

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 1

His birthday party kicked off the major shift of the season, orchestrated mostly by himself and Kyle. When he originally said he wanted this season to be 'different' and 'positive' I rolled my eyes, as BB is no place for Pollyanna types. But as it turned out it was the most welcome thing that could have happened, as the degree of nasty hate permeating everything had gone way too far for me. He left his party early to shower off the egg Indy smashed on him, but he stayed away awhile and appeared very thoughtful. I think he may have been observing both the subtle and overt anti-Taylor stuff, and realized it was real and needed action.

Won: TBA

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 1

See Joseph. He deserves a lot of credit for both Pound and Leftovers becoming realities, and he chaired a lot of the meetings of both, and his Alyssa intel was a good bit of useful ammo to drop. That kind of thing tends to raise a hamster's stock, but they also know he and Alyssa are almost kind of a thing. Kyle says he won't pursue that in the house, but it'll probably stay in everyone's minds anyway, especially if/when Alyssa is the sole survivor of that side of the house.

Won: TBA

HOH 0 - Veto 2 - Co-Veto 1 - Noms 2/0 - HN 1

He's done a lot of quiet work to get these various balls rolling but it may end up being too quiet for most to take much notice of. BBCan's Godfrey comes to mind. Winning three-for-three vetos would normally be a death sentence but that worked out okay for him, as of now anyway.

Won: TBA

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 1

He owes Taylor an apology for being one of the driving forces against her, but it probably won't come along anytime soon, if at all. I guess that's good BB, even if it's not so great otherwise. He's having get-to-know-you convos with people he hadn't really talked to til now, so that's good. He may be the one to break up Leftovers eventually, but he'll probably stay more loyal to the Pound. Bros and all that.

Won: TBA

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 1

She picked up where Paloma left off and ran wild planting little hatebomb seeds all over town. She's pleasant to people's faces and often pleasant to others about her targets as well, but vicious behind their backs. Vilification of targets is a very well-established method of playing BB, and it's often difficult to watch, but it's usually very effective when used on hamsters with pliable minds - they just love to climb onboard the hater trains. She's a master at it but she went too far siccing Daniel on Taylor to blame her for Paloma's mental health.

Won: TBA

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/1 - HN 0

The hate for her in there has been well documented and it almost killed her game several times. Her joy at finally being invited to be part of an alliance, and as a key member rather than just a shield, was one of the high points of feeds for the past many seasons. We've not even seen her play BB yet as she hasn't had a chance from her forced isolation chamber, but she asked two key and valid questions before accepting her alliance invite, and that was promising. Now she'll be a full-fledged hamster in good standing* and I'm looking forward to seeing where she goes from here.
*Good standing with most - some won't forgive or forget.

Won: TBA

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

Taylor said that hearing he was on her hate train was the most surprising thing of the entire dirt dump, and that was sad to hear. We'll see if he comes around if/when his fellow Taylor haters dwindle in numbers. I hope so. I'd been hoping he'd drive the bus that people would inevitably get thrown under because it'd be a good joke, but he's about to get run over on Monday.

Won: TBA

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

Like Jasmine, I don't hate him as much as many out here do, and I don't care if he showers or not since I don't have to live with him. Being willing to take the blame for Monday's blindside, along with sharing his childhood trauma story and especially how he overcame it, boosted him several points in my book.

Won: Week 1 Backstage Boss/immunity

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

1st evicted - Day 16

Volunteering to go on the block is always dicey, but especially as early as he did before any real trust is formed. And now he knows why. He's lucky Julie was COVID-distanced or she might have whacked him. He put all his eggs in a broken Oasis basket, and he irritated a lot of them with his antics and touchy-feely. When Joseph tried to help and warn him about that, he just got mad at Joseph. Like Paloma, he talked constantly and very, very fast. He seems like he's got a good heart so good luck to him from here.

Won: Week 1 Backstage Pass

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

Left the game - Day 8

She drove the game at the start, and she ignited and fueled the unjustified Taylor hate which continued to thrive even after she left. When she started to spiral, her conspiracy theories and delusions would have been comical if they weren't indicative of something more serious going on. It was probably best for her to go when she did, and for me - her nonstop superfast talking was stressing me out.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

He was replaced pre-season by Joseph, but you can catch him on America's Got Talent and The Circle.

"Position the habitat of your hamster somewhere light and airy, away from drafts, heaters, direct sunlight
and other pets. Never put it on or near a television, radio or hi-fi, or a fridge."
