Day 74 - Saturday - September 17, 2022

Overnight items included a Monte/Taylor shower in the HOH shower that's become known as much for sexual activities as for being a nice, roomy shower. I don't have any intel about whether any stools were involved or not, and I'm grateful for that lack of info. Their later pillow talk included Monte confessing his training and background in mechanical engineering to Taylor, but he stressed that his current personal training and future fitness empire plans were legit (true). She teased him for missing the first day numbers equation in their veto comp, but said it made sense that he'd won that comp. Monte then told Brittany and Turner his secret this afternoon.

Brittany worked on Taylor a bit today about her pitch to Monte, with her F2 pitch to Taylor embedded in that. Monte will almost surely cut her on Thursday, so I'm not paying much attention to Brittany pitches. Sorry. Taylor and Monte had a next level get-to-know-you-better convo including some serious life topics. And Taylor said she hopes to come out of this being known for how she performed in the game rather than just being tagged "former Miss Michigan USA" or about overcoming the early game adversity she'd faced. She said "there's power in taking back your own story." She told Monte we feedsters weren't a big factor as far as the overall narrative, but anything scandalous or extra noteworthy would become widely known (yep!). She said she was fine with her potato chip habit being part of her story, and added she wasn't worried about their sexcapades because they're consenting adults: "Sex issues? Go fuck yourself."

Most of the fandom has jumped ahead to finale scenarios. I usually just let things unfold but as I said above, Brittany will likely be evicted Thursday. And as of now, gauging from what has and what has not been said by the others, I believe Taylor would take Monte to finals if the choice is hers, Monte would probably take Taylor, and Turner would take Monte.

Brittany pulled out some M&Ms and arranged them according to the season comps, then ran through a very long, rambly, and intricate speech for Monte and why he should keep her rather than Turner. I don't know when she plans to pitch it to him but I believe they think veto meeting will be Monday as usual. Taylor said she wanted to ask Diary if they can box up some of the excess non-perishable food they won't eat so it can be donated to a local food pantry. They got a bottle of wine and tie-dye kits (I called it! the tie-dye, not the wine) so they sat at the little backyard table to make some shirts. That went pretty well with everyone participating. Turner and Monte weren't too excited about the idea but both produced a couple of nice efforts. After that all four sat down to play spades, with a few cans of Taylor's hard cider, and so I will call it a day.

Day 73 - Friday - September 16, 2022

Monte arrived to HOH around 4am, and feedmasters gave them their privacy for a half hour or so. Sleepy pillow talk afterwards included whether they should out themselves to Brittany and Turner or not, and they agreed to see what happens with veto as that could be a big factor in what happens from here. Random convo snippets included Monte saying "some more getting to like each other this week," and Taylor saying "I don't think you are a Kyle, but please don't have sex with me and then lie about the game."

They were all woken around 7am and adoptable anipals arrived around 8.30am, for both the final veto comp and installation of the tiny table for four. Monte won the final veto, which involved day numbers of various season events, and it was held in one of their alternate indoor comp rooms that involved a walk to and from, which they enjoyed. Their comp shirts had math symbols: (X) for Taylor, square root for Monte, equal for Turner, and pi for Brittany.

The yard opened again, and Taylor told Monte she'd like to speak with him. That was delayed by Brittany crying to Taylor in the pantry for a few minutes but they finally met up in HOH. The talk began with Monte hoisting up Taylor for a lengthy smooch session, and feedmasters trolled both them and us by having that on two feeds with Turner stuffing chips and dip in his mouth on the others, one of them a close-up. They finally unclenched and Taylor said she didn't need Monte's decision right now, but she hoped there would be some time to discuss and finalize since the schedule had been so sped up and they didn't know when veto meeting will be (not til live on Thursday's show). Taylor said her biggest argument at finals would be that she took herself to F2 rather than being carried there, and Monte pointed out she'd also survived the block five times. Taylor said "we just have to make sure we sit in those final two seats" and added "you know Turner beats both of us," to which Monte agreed.

Monte then met with Turner and told him Taylor was worried about how strong a competitor Turner is, "but I'm looking you in the eyes, I'm telling you I'm taking you" (to F3). Turner thanked him and said "I'm telling you, if I win (Final HOH), me and you at the end." Monte said he appreciates that and didn't see it any other way, but he didn't return that promise outright. And Turner asked Monte if he'd told Taylor he'll be cutting Brittany and Monte said not yet. Brittany went to HOH and cried, saying she was sure Monte will be cutting her. Taylor said he hadn't decided yet but Brittany said she was pretty sure he had, and she kicked herself for coming close in the veto but not winning. Taylor said Diary had called her but she coddled Brittany some more, and told her she was free to hang out in her room when she left, listen to the new Beyoncé or cry or nap or whatever. When she finally did leave, Brittany said "I'm going home.. I don't deserve her."

Adoptable anipals returned around 3.30pm and feeds came back a litle after 4pm and they'd had their video messages from home. They were all happy and emotional about that of course, aww. We'll see those on one of these upcoming final shows. Monte, Taylor, Turner figured out a new way to do the awnings as a threesome that was not only efficient but oddly hypnotic to watch. Brittany sat down with Monte for a shmooze session that included admitting she did have that early morning bathroom talk with Turner, but she said Michael knew all about it since he'd helped her plan it (no). Then she confessed her big secret, that she's actually a professional hypnotherapist. She followed up with telling Turner (in a cordial two-way convo), and then Taylor (more shmooze, again including the Turner convo). She was happy to talk about her real life finally, and was quite chirpy describing it. They were all napping or close to it again by 8pm.

Remember, events are scheduled for the air shows, not our feedster wishes, so this week is going to stretch on and on for us. They were finished with noms and veto comp hours before noms would normally happen on a Friday, and we don't even have a veto meeting Monday to break up the tedium. Veto meeting will be live on Thursday's show but obviously it won't be used, so it's just a matter of will Monte announcing who he's voting out (Brittany) or not. Letting evictees know their time is up hasn't been the hamster way this season, so there's no telling if he will let her know or not. Maybe they'll get tie-dye kits and Play-doh again. The action lull will make for an easy week and a nice way to coast to finale for us updaters and recappers anyway, and I appreciate that.

Day 72 - Thursday - September 15, 2022

I believe they all went to bed at close to a usual time, with no room sneaking or hanky panky. Taylor and Monte did their usual flirting over breakfast, with talk about her being a changed woman. Turner joined them and they shouted out the fallen hamsters and their rumored significant others, including Joseph's "situationship" as well as Alyssa's. Turner said Alyssa's guy is cancelled. Alyssa and Brittany remained in their beds (ahem, Brittany had issues the other day about some of them sleeping past 10am). They finally got up and Brittany told Alyssa that Turner might be lying to her, since he hadn't yet warned Alyssa or told her how he's voting. Brittany said Alyssa has her vote, no matter what. Brittany had thought she'd masterminded a vote flip but they're aware it might not happen, which means no blindside popcorn for us.

The show covered the last few days accurately and included Brittany being upset about HOH slumber parties, Taylor and Monte making out, and the last couple days waffling about a "sympathy vote" - a ridiculous term to use when there's only two voters), so let's call it what it was: Turner chose Monte over his season-long friendship with Alyssa, and Brittany chose an easier path to the end over her season-long friendship with Taylor. Turner voted to evict Alyssa and Brittany voted to evict Taylor, as expected by those who've been keeping up, resulting in the first tie vote of the season. Monte broke it by evicting Alyssa, who had a surprisingly good sit-down with Julie. If she'd played BB half as well as she handled her exit, she might have done better. But that's all moot now and off she trotted.

The HOH comp was Fashion Fest, seven true/false detail questions about a TikTok type video featuring Julie quick-changing through her various Thursday outfits this season. All three were tied with three correct after four questions, Turner missed the fifth, and all were correct for the last two, resulting in a tie between Taylor and Brittany. The tiebreaker was how many seconds was the Snoozefest comp (last week's cuckoo clocks veto), featuring Julie's second-favorite phrase "without going over" and if both went over, the closest wins. The answer was 1,404 - Brittany went over with 2,700 so Taylor won with 480.

Feeds came back almost immediately after the show, with all of them thrilled to have made final four, and Taylor especially thrilled for making final three and a ticket to finale. Turner whispered to Monte "you know that wasn't me, right?" regarding the vote and Monte said yes, and added that it showed on Brittany's face when she came out from voting. Turner asked Monte to make sure Taylor knew he voted her way, and Monte said he would (plus Taylor already knew), and they told her together a bit later. They were surprised to see the NOMINATIONS TODAY graphic went up on the monitor and they wondered why, but they didn't know the veto comp will be on Sunday's show so things have to be sped up a bit this weekend. Taylor whispered to herself/us that she'll put up Turner and Brittany, and she'd say it's because she knows one of them is lying about the vote.

Taylor got her room a little after 9pm - the final HOH room for the season, and I believe it was the first one to land in primetime this summer. She got a ton of cosmetic products, a ton of foods and snacks including Lay's of course, a reflector face shield, a floral bucket hat, flip flops, Beyoncé's Renaissance, hard cider, and a letter from her friend Chioma.

Brittany stayed behind for the first meeting and Taylor told her it'd probably be her and Turner. Both shmoozed their way through that meeting, and repeated the everlasting chant that noms don't matter this week, it's all about the veto. Monte met with Taylor next, starting with a big congratulatory hug. She told him her noms would be Brittany and Turner, and that she preferred Turner would go if noms stay the same.

About then Turner approached Brittany and said he wished she would have told him what she was going to do, and he gets it game-wise but he didn't like that she'd used his friendship with Alyssa as her pitch, adding "that seemed slimy" and "and now you're obviously going to blame [the vote] on me.. thoughts?" Brittany said "thanks for your comments" and walked off. Turner said "yeah definitely, thank you Brittany, very respectable." He then went to HOH, visibly shaken and upset, and retold the brief interaction. He started crying, then cry-laughed and said "with peace and love, fuck Brittany" and he added it had been so hard to vote out Alyssa. He left, and Taylor resumed her meeting with Monte, asking if she wins veto would he make a deal to keep Brittany? He didn't agree or disagree, but said he hates to break his word, and can they revisit the topic later when the time comes. Taylor said he'll know her priority from who doesn't go up, even though Monte put her on the block just a few days ago. He was called to Diary and they ended with a smooch.

Turner went in next and said he didn't want to start crying but he did, rehashing his difficult vote and Brittany and the rest of it. Taylor said everyone thinks she and Monte have an F2 but they don't, but that noms would be Turner and Brittany. Turner said that would be okay as long as Brittany's up there too.

Feeds went to adoptable anipals at 10.35pm for nominations, and came back about an hour later. Taylor nominated Brittany and Turner as planned. Food prep was underway along with yet another rehash of season events along with speculation about how the week would play out, since they did noms tonight. They've been under the mistaken impression for ages that finale would be two to three days later than it will be, which keeps adding to their confusion about these things. Brittany asked Taylor if Turner was blaming the vote on her, saying she thought Taylor was just making the speech spicy for good TV and adding "TAY-lor! What the fuuuuuck!" Taylor asked what happened in the bathroom and Brittany said Turner was just being pouty because Taylor won HOH, saying he was "being a soup boy," and "I'm sorry, you think I'm gonna flip on MY friend when you're trying to save face with your friend?" Bold statements, consiering Taylor knows the truth. Meanwhile Taylor went back to her room to go through her goodies in more depth, and she said to herself "OMG get my back blown out all week, yes!"

The yard opened, adding more to their confusion since normally it doesn't open until after veto. Turner told Monte that he was over Brittany, and Brittany and Taylor continued to shmooze each other inside. Turner moped and/or grumped in the hammock, and Taylor told Monte that Brittany was sticking with her lie that she'd voted in Taylor's favor. Monte and Taylor joined Turner to remind him Brittany had probably seen people get away with things like that in the past and be applauded for being great manipulators, and was probably trying to emulate that, and that Alyssa would find out how it all went down and probably wouldn't hold it against him. Monte told himself/us that it's become clear Taylor wants to take Brittany to finals, so he figured it'd be best for him to eliminate Brittany and take Turner.

6th juror - 10th evicted - Day 65

He was visibly uncomfortable and socially awkward at first when there were so many of them, and he landed on the block, but he won that first veto and started to settle in better. Then he won the next veto and normally that might have put a target on him, but then Leftovers formed and brought him in with Brittany, partly because of his valuable comp skills. He went on to break the veto record with six, along with three HOHS to tie Janelle's longstanding record. He settled in pretty well and he was well-aligned, but he isolated with Brittany too much and hadn't covered his get-around bases enough when Leftovers fell apart, and his bad timing for outing Kyle's problematic pitches plus his comp skills got him the boot. He went out with a bang and a swift, iconic exit.

Won: Week 4 surviving Bestie pick; Week 4 immunity (HOH Bestie); 1 week 4.5 days Ink 182 temp tats

HOH 1 - Veto 1 - Noms 4/1
Have-not 1

5th juror - 9th evicted - Day 65

Sometimes he was friendly and charming, and other times he was nasty and vile. He tended to tell people what they wanted to hear, and that might be nice things or it might be awful things, depending who it was about and when. He wasn't plugged in to what was going on around him so he and his fellow 'Convenience Store' teamies were continually outplayed and occasionally blindsided. He did win the Dyre Fest HOH and veto, and he fell for Kyle's rehash version of things when they were in the backyard, because Kyle got to him before Joseph did. He said later he regretted that, but what was done was done. He did have some good stories, and he told them well, and he was a good sport about his 182 tattoos task.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Co-veto 1 - Noms 0/3
Have-not 1

4th juror - 8th evicted - Day 58

He was in a very good spot, juggling multiple alliances successfully, and he was pivotal in Leftovers forming when he spilled things Alyssa had told him, betraying her confidence. Then they kissed and he started leaning her way over both his bros and Leftovers, and then they did sexytime and that was it. He blew up all his alliances, spilling everything to Terrance in Dyre Fest in order to get Joseph gone, which happened. But Kyle only got one extra week from that because his Cookout 2.0 theory came out via Michael and Brittany, and that was the end for him. He'll be remembered for that, and for his self-admitted 10-second sex, and for generally being an immature boy in a grown man's body.

Won: Week 4 immunity (HOH Bestie); 48 hr Skid tied to Taylor

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0
Have-not 1

3rd juror - 7th evicted - Day 51

He often said he hoped this wouldn't be a season with fights and hostilities, and for the most part it wasn't. But it's still a dirty game and he played loyal, even while he was double-dipping, at least until he had no choice among the Dyre Fest outsiders, since Kyle spilled the Leftover beans out there way before he did. He often gametalked for too long, but he was good at creating chaos, and he also had great stories about his childhood and teen adventures. His birthday joined the epic BB birthdays when the Leftovers formed and took aim at the other side, taking them out one by one (with several bonus blindsides) until the split house twist split them up, and he was the first casualty of that. His friendship/flirtmance with Taylor was fun to watch.

Won: Week 3 immunity (HOH Bestie); London trip

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0
Have-not 1

2nd juror - 6th evicted - Day 51

She participated in the early Taylor bashing but eased up on it as her friends left and she lost people to bash with. She was the comic relief of the season in so many ways, from her ridiculous Diary accent and lines, to her twisted ankle that went on and on and on, not to mention her inability to use crutches or cane properly for it. She annoyed many of them as a roommate, she stashed her favorite foods, and she talked incessantly about herself. #JasmineStories sounded like tall tales, especially as they continued to pile up, but her old Twitter account proved quite a few of them were true, or at least had a basis in truth. Her ongoing feud with Turner was a season highlight, especially when he stole half a muffin and she made a federal case about it.

Won: Punkaroo 1 week concerts

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0
Have-not 1

1st juror - 5th evicted - Day 44

She was often loud and often acted more like she was playing BB Brasil than USA, with more attention given to her frequent (loud) shoutouts and camera messages than to the game going on around her. She was another of the early season Taylor haters but it lingered on with Indy after the others left or backed off. Indy was one of the few who confronted Taylor face to face (over soup), but her most vicious was a tirade to Joseph saying she HATES it when he and the guys talk with Taylor. But she was often fun and upbeat, and she was a better sport about her Punkaroo punkitard than most expected. And I always give kudos for non-native English speakers in this game that's based around whispers, conversations, and retells.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Co-veto 1 - Noms 0/1
Have-not 1

4th evicted - Day 37

Day 18 to Taylor: 'Don't speak to me until finale. The thing you did to Paloma you're trying to do to [Nicole], you can fuck right off. You don't think America's watching all that? You don't think so? From here on out do not speak to me. I will never forget what you did to Paloma. You think she didn't spiral because of you? You didn't add to that? And now you're trying to do it to Nicole, mind game. Do not speak to Nicole like that ever again.'
Don't get it twisted. First, mental illness doesn't work that way. Second, Terrance first suggested all that, Nicole planted it in Daniel's head, and he's the one who ran rabid with it, with her urging and blessing. They were peas from the same rotten pod and each fed off the other's vileness. I hope I never hear about either of these Toxic Twins again.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1
Have-not 1

3rd evicted - Day 30

Arrogant, aggressive, entitled, overbearing, self-serving and self-centered. She took over the Taylor hate train when Paloma left and ran it off the rails. She had no redeemable watchable qualities, least of all being entertaining in the slightest. I thought about doing Ozark ratings some week but I lost my Wendy Byrde with her exit. Verbatim quote from this 'superfan': 'They've done something that no other alliance has ever done in this game, in Big Brother history, they created a pact of people to make you think you're safe and say I got your back, and then this [betrayal] happens.' Hello? Welcome to BB.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1
Have-not 0

2nd evicted - Day 23

She was one of the Taylor haters under Paloma's direction, but she kept it up after Paloma's exit, even after Turner referred to it in his noms speech. That was one reason she went on the block as backdoor target and eventual exit, along with Michael and Kyle stressing her general smarts. She pushed for Pooch to go after he volunteered himself, and then she was blindsided when it was her own turn to meet Julie.

Won: Week 1 Backstage Boss/immunity

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0
Have-not 1

1st evicted - Day 16

Volunteering to go on the block is always dicey, but especially as early as he did before any real trust is formed. And now he knows why. He's lucky Julie was COVID-distanced or she might have whacked him. He put all his eggs in a broken Oasis basket, and he irritated a lot of them with his antics and touchy-feely. When Joseph tried to help and warn him about that, he just got mad at Joseph. Like Paloma, he talked constantly and very, very fast. He seems like he's got a good heart so good luck to him from here.

Won: Week 1 Backstage Pass

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0
Have-not 0

Left the game - Day 8

She drove the game at the start, and she ignited and fueled the unjustified Taylor hate which continued to thrive even after she left. When she started to spiral, her conspiracy theories and delusions would have been comical if they weren't indicative of something more serious going on. It was probably best for her to go when she did, and for me - her nonstop superfast talking was stressing me out.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0
Have-not 0

He was replaced pre-season by Joseph, but you can catch him on America's Got Talent and The Circle.
