Kill Bill/Will is a reality

It took two seasons and there are still a couple of leftovers but Janelle makes it happen tonight

65 days ago few thought Dr. Will would have survived past the first or second eviction (including him) but thru some marvel of modern hypnosis he survived against all better judgment and almost brought home the money

In the end his own brilliant maneuvering & manipulation was his own downfall: he bypassed his usual game strategy and fell back on the age-old "blind the girl with charm" ploy.. it almost worked too, but he failed to realize that girls do talk about their guys sometimes, and he didn't credit Erika or Janelle with the guts to do what each of them did

He was always working even when it seemed otherwise.. feedmasters withheld from us much of his early planning and he kept us guessing since he said anything to everyone, but eventually his innertube became his workbench and we were allowed to listen in

Some say he used mind control & brainwashing - I always thought this cap gave him a Jim Jones vibe - but I think he's just a keen student of human nature and knows how to use it to his advantage.. he gets people to do his bidding yes, but in a way that's good-natured & friendly, not nasty or hurtful like some

He had early "understandings" with Danielle, Kaysar & Erika (though his only real alliance was with Boogie), but he always had a few backup plans: the day Erika "broke her rib" he & she had a quiet whisper before the diagnosis was announced, and later that day when Kaysar said he would put up floaters rather than Chilltown, Will said that was fine only please don't put up Erika, as he felt bad about hurting her.. hmmm

His showmance/fauxmance/flirtmance with Janelle was a love story to many and a delight to most, whatever the incentive or outcome.. his smile & laugh came freely and often, saving feedsters from many a day of misery & boredom

Even when it became clear his masterminding the game was becoming a steamroll (not to mention making the producers tear out their hair) it was still awe-inspiring to see how easily and completely his goals were accomplished, and he barely dirtied his hands.. but unlike the Jameses or Danielles who also controlled things at times, Will did it with fun & watchability, which is key here at Hamsterwatch, of course

Even as he often insulted us en masse, calling us all overweight cat-owners with no lives, he made up with us in one of the all-time best for-feedsters-only segments when he cybered us in the backyard

Dr. Will's got a very rare combo of smarts, charisma, wit and charm, with a touch of snotty hyperactive kid thrown in, but he won over more fans than his manipulating ways cost him.. his grouchies were rare and his one moment of anger was inspired by Janelle (who else?).. in the end she took him out easily - hell hath no fury, etc - I'm glad she did it, but he'll be missed just the same

Jumbo devil duckie walks the plank

I've been noticing lately that Erika's wearing her sweats off one shoulder (hmmm) but haven't caught a cap til tonight's show.. but what the heck, she set off a short but monumental chain reaction that changed the inevitable so she's exempt from any Single White Female references tonight

The long-awaited glimpse of paradise© isn't nearly as glamorous as it used to be, and the Howie/George spat was a nice piece of choreography - I mean c'mon, who's afraid of this guy? James' face seeing Danielle arrive makes you wonder if maybe there was some banana bread there that just went to crumbs

But enough of all that, enough of the veto comp we already know about and the recaps we attended the first time - let's move on to the juicy stuff

Will seems shocked but not, being no fool and having noticed Janelle's change of attitude the last couple days, but he still never expected to hear "Will, you have been evicted" in this lifetime.. he gives his hugs including a hair-grabbing squeeze for his single vote.. I've never noticed this flame motif lamp before

Another tight hair-grabbing hug and he's gone - if anyone's more surprised than Will, it's his little buddy Boogie

Will's BB experience is finally complete: he's the last one of them who's never walked the plank before or sat in Julie's boudoir alone with her.. her pressing questions are so much hopeful tabloid press fodder that goes nowhere

Farewell messages are good this time - some of them anyway, Boogie's is like an afterschool special about boys trying to express emotion for their pals.. Erika's is a total Gotcha! and a refreshing & very welcome change from her usual crocodile tears.. Janelle's cool & calm, and effective - they probably will be friends after all this settles

The less said about the Close Encounters fiasco, the better - it doesn't even rate a spot as the day's pic for Editors thanks to Boogie quitting before Julie even says go.. she winds up reading from cards (badly) even though it's virtually the same script as always

Oh crap

We don't have audio with this bit of slippage from the backyard, but I think it's a pretty safe bet something along those lines is being said among the staff after the pricey non-comp.. we never even got to see it rumble & shake or spew goo

Maybe somebody's saying "That's coming out of your check"

As for what came before the show: very little.. they laid around cocooning most of the day, and aren't even called to get ready for live show til an hour before it starts - likely due to the rushed heavy editing going on

Afterwards it's a celebration for some - we get some rare toothy smiles from Erika, rightfully pleased with having saved herself and getting back at one of the guys who's been doing her wrong for weeks, all in one swoop.. Janelle's also pleased and tiara'd but cautious, studying the photo wall like she does every eviction.. Boogie's a little freaked out but gracious to their faces, complimenting the move and crediting Janelle for it

Janelle [to Erika]: I bet Allison [Grodner]'s like 'Girl power!' even though she hates us
Janelle: [Boogie's] expression was worse than when Jase found out there was twins in the house!
....
Boogie [to Janelle]: Erika looked at me and said 'Checkmate'

Boogie goes in for not one but two long Diary sessions, coming out sniffing both times and heading into the bathroom.. he unpacks his stuff from HOH which is now closed up for the season.. I've never noticed this lamp before either, hmmm.. George's costumes got left behind in a heap

Erika perches on the balcony like she does, with a friend.. their dinner's delivered and they eat quietly.. Boogie plays solitaire while the girls celebrate some more and compare more notes outside - secrets are told as secrets but likely coming to an end now

Boogie [alone, about Erika]: I'll find a way to make you lose the show, mark my words

They get a little booze and share it around.. everyone behaves - Boogie seems too stunned to do otherwise.. he goes to bed early and excavates awhile before eventually falling out of bed? He stays put on the floor.. it's ironic maybe that Will's the one who's always afraid of falling out of bed

On her own for a bit, Erika talks to herself and us and sings a little ditty.. we're reminded that the camera operator with the foot fetish hasn't been on duty much this year, but he or she makes up for it tonight.. we meet a grasshopper

Erika [alone, sing-song voice]: Will went out because Boogie put him up, Will went out because Boogie put him up

Janelle & Erika chat a long time, regretting their short time as Chilltown citizens and relishing their victory.. they go back and discuss all who've come before and dissect what part Willboogie had in each, and in pitting them against each other.. it's a good convo and well-earned - Erika shows more personality than she has since the start

They re-enact the eviction, each taking different parts and laughing as they go.. the fourth houseguest on the feeds tonight remains Mr. Grasshopper - whether he's meant to symbolize Will or Boogie I don't know.. maybe he's just a grasshopper

Final Three edition

Editors
Ups for literal last-minute edits to get the storyline correct rather than make one up or attempt sloppy repairs later.. well, there isn't any 'later' is there? Paradise© turned into a Palm Springs condo thanks to Hurricane John but those who think Hurricane Howie's rant was 100% spontaneous, unscripted or at least 'un-helped', or representative of Howie or George in the jury house, really needs to pay more attention. It boggles the mind how the same people who see things play out on the feeds and turn into something else on the show continue to believe the edits when they didn't see the event unfold.. but that's show biz. Howie & Marcellas have been the editing whipping boys all season so no reason to stop now - they can take it better than many of their fans. Julie really pressured Will to try to get him to confess undying love for Janelle but though he was clearly stunned and ego-bruised, he wasn't going along with that script anymore than he did in the house. 'Mount HOH' was another dud of a comp and very pricey apparatus thanks in part to Julie's off-the-cuff response to Erika's question about two hands - maybe Janelle didn't even hear it - but no matter, Janelle's not contesting and it's a done deal. But after so many similar fiascos this season, isn't it time they put an end to these live, on-air comps? Or at least get someone to host them who can handle a situation without a script. Julie can still be the true queen bee that her marriage license says she is, but give her a co-host at least who can think on their feet when needed. And ditch the earthquake machine we never even saw in action tonight: it was a 15 minute flop for BB5 Final 3 too.

Boogie
WON HOH PART 2
Talk about a lost lamb, this guy acted tonight much like Drew & Cowboy did when they kicked out the person who'd played their game for them: confused, befuddled and lost. I wondered if he'd go off on another drunken rampage about his female captors but soon realized he does that stuff 'for the guys' and in fact, he might be just a bit scared to be stuck in there now alone with the two scorned women. To his credit, he was civil to them tonight and may remain so over the next few days, but only because he may never have spent much time with only females around. Resounding negs for spoiling what should have been a nice long evening on the volcano for us (and likely sealing his own fate).. I'm not even going to touch his dopey Richard Hatch comment.

Erika
WON HOH PART 1
She swore to Janelle that she'd give the endurance portion to her if/when Boogie came off and she may have done it too if Boogie had given it til the end of the show at least, and if Janelle hadn't gone one-handed when she did. We'll never know, and she may still throw Janelle under that proverbial bus they're all so fond of, but huge ups to her for having the guts to come clean to Janelle and setting the showmance record straight before it was too late for either of them to regain their dignity. The late night girltalk has them comparing notes & details, and only points out the glaring fallacy in Willboogie's Operation Double Date: any guy who cheats on his girl and tells the same story to both girls is going to pay for it, sooner or later.

Janelle
EVICTED WILL
She did it, she really did it, and I can put Uma back in the movies now that she did. As much as I hate to see Will leave and will always wonder what the final days would have been like with those two, nothing else would have worked tonight and she should be proud of herself. She did it kindly and with class, which wasn't surprising, and even if she loses or Erika double-backs like she did to Danielle, Janelle's better off finishing second or even third again than winning with her eyes dazzled shut. She put it all into just the right words tonight to Erika: 'the worst thing in the world for a girl is to get played by a guy'. Will should respect what she did and he probably does.. we may never know what Erin thinks about it all.

Dr. Will

He owned them all from the start and was largely (if not solely) responsible for the first 10 evictions, as well as the 11th - his own. He was mostly fun to watch with a quick wit and more than a few good tv moments, tho his self- and Boogie-promotion got old fast as did his unbridled arrogance. His chemistry with Janelle was undeniably sparkly and fun to watch: even tho we knew it was a play, there was something that felt genuine about it too, but in the end she played him back and right out the door.

George

We only got the BB1 goony guy with his Thursday night get-ups but he had his share of colorful moments and championship belly flops. He won an important veto by shaving his head & going on perma-slop, making him the most suffering but least complaining of them all. He's a very decent guy and a good friend to them all (even Howie), and I wish him only good things.

Danielle

She said she wanted redemption but she played it too hard too often, and got played right out the door. She spent a day in solitary, and 'got personal' and nasty a few times but she did herself in by trusting the most untrustworthy: James, Erika & Willboogie. Strategy & working behind backs are her fortes but this time she'll be remembered most for excessive ding-donging.

James

He ran a self-professed 'Janelle hate campaign' when she had his back, and called her a liar, traitor & worse on tv but he hooked up with Dani on Day 2. He promised to be more fun but wasn't much until the end, when he was great. He plays the game well but too hard and personal. The Dolly Wars will follow him but he'll be ok: it's just a little harm.

Howie

Love him or hate him, nobody can deny he's an individual. Two years running he's stayed truer to his partners than anyone while staying on good terms with everyone on all sides, in spite of behavior that would get most arrested. His act gets old and he drops trou a lot, but he's almost always upbeat and his heart is solid gold. We'd all be lucky to have a friend as loyal as Howie.

Marcellas

He had early alliances galore but blew them all off to mope & complain instead. Editing was far from kind and didn't even give us his best but it's his own doing (like most of his problems are). Hamsterwatch Most Photogenic award winner, especially since he started posing for renaissance paintings.

Kaysar

He said his heart wasn't in it this year and that he was saving his big moves for later: both fatal in the BB house, and not kicking out Will when he could was pivotal to the season. But he shaved his head for the game and stopped twisting his hair too. Good to see him again and overnighters especially will miss him.

Diane

Sadly, she didn't stand a chance this year. She came in defeated & involved in a feud, and lost all her partners. Mrs. Smith didn't give us the fireworks she's capable of but she's always an all-star in my book and I wish her well.

Jase

His alliances and behavior were all over the map this time and both got him kicked out. He went out the back door again but it wasn't intentional this time. So long, mirror-face.

Nakomis

Not the most charismatic and she didn't start playing in time, but each side kicked her out so the other couldn't have her. Kudos to her for having the guts to return.

Alison

She worked out and hid in a vase but the potential for catfights & dramatics left with her. She didn't live up to her skanky rep: good for her, bad for us.
