Both got the usual assortment of snacks, candy, cereals of course. Hannah got a necklace and bracelet, sunglasses, cosmetics, nail polish, seaweed, a bandana, sushi socks, a bright yellow hoodie, wine, and a letter from sister Simone and her parents.Kyland got Krispy Kreme donuts, a hoodie, pizza, ice cream, yogurt, shark socks (which Tiffany took but he asked for them back later), lotion, Modelo beer, music by Kendrick Lamar, and a letter from newly-engaged buddy Brett, who introduced him to BB. BB got them up around 8.30am, just short of five hours after Kyland got his room. Kyland started up with meetings, beginning with Xavier, as they both stared at the spyscreen to see if anyone was approaching. Kyland said he was planning "a repeat of Week 2" when he was HOH and Frenchie was the overwhelming house target, but Kyland overcomplicated that as he will this week. He confirmed he was still planning to put up Tiffany and Hannah, and Xavier said if he wins veto maybe he'd take down Hannah to build some trust there. Kyland then told Azah the same, that he'll do noms like he did Week 2, being "more upfront" about it. Azah said if Hannah goes, next week will be Tiffany versus Xavier, and she'd vote to keep Kyland against either of them if he's on the block. Kyland then met with Tiffany, who did most of the talking, and most of it was rehashing the past nine weeks, and the various times the two of them had come together and then apart. Tiffany told him that she'd told Xavier about her F2 with Kyland. I don't think Xavier has confessed that to Kyland. Kyland was then called to Diary which they assumed was for noms, but wasn't (it was too early). Next up was Hannah, who gave Kyland a lot of info and ran a lot of scenarios about this week, future weeks, and finals. He asked if she'd be okay to go up if he ensured she stay. She said she thought she'd go, but pitched if he takes her off with veto, she wouldn't put him up next week, and would take him down with veto, and she'd vote how he wants this week. She said she wants to go to F3 with him and Tiffany, but would choose him for F2 because she didn't think anyone would beat Tiffany. And she said she'd vote for him at finals against Xavier, Azah, Derek. He asked what if it's Xavier versus Derek, and she said "oh this is interesting, the two everyone's promised their votes to." She asked why he chose not to throw last night's HOH to Derek, and Kyland said "when I know what I should do, then it's easy to let someone else make the decision.. if I don't, then I'd rather have more control over making that decision." Okay. And she told him she has a loose/unnamed working deal with Xavier and Tiffany. Kyland met with Derek, and then had a follow-up with Tiffany. When Kyland was called to Diary for noms, feeds stayed on the others for quite awhile. They had another group discussion about Cookout's mission, how they achieved it, and how it might affect future seasons. Derek once again took credit for coming up with it and the partner/pawn plan. That was Tiffany, but she didn't object. They also did a lot of season rehashing, like hamsters do. Kyland nominated Hannah and Tiffany, as planned, and his speech was long, surprising nobody. Kyland was talking at Hannah in HOH when feeds returned, running his loops. He told her he still hadn't decided for sure when he got the keys and box (lie), and later he said to himself/us he'd wanted to stick with Tiffany but she kept lying to him. Tiffany commiserated with Azah, saying she was okay, she had a good life to get back to, and "guys stick together." Azah is now the only one who's never touched the block. Reminder, it was way back on July 22 when the Cookout guys formed their own alliance within their alliance, and they look to be sticking with it. Xavier reaffirmed his F2 deal with Kyland. They had dinner and rehashed the season again, laughing about some of the (pointless) campaign pitches by various evictees, and laughing in general. It was good to see. Later they had a lengthy, in-depth group discussion about relationships and dating. Day 65 - Thursday - September 9, 2021Xavier did some speech practice in the pantry this morning, including "if you evict X, I'm taking Lucius with me," and he got annoyed at the cameras following him. But that's the life of a nominee. For all his griping about being on the block three times in a row, this is the first time he's been there on a Thursday, and he was nervousing (© BB5 Cowboy). Claire's speech was expected to be an attack on Xavier, veiled in complimentary terms. She planned to say he'll win the game against anyone, in hopes of getting the votes to stay tonight (which she won't). But it may help Tiffany in her quest to get Xavier out sooner than later. Most of them suspected a double because only half of them are gone while we're more than three-quarters of the way through the season. Tonight we'll either get a Cookout celebration for achieving their goal of making final six (before they go to war with each other), or on the off chance Alyssa wins the quickie HOH, one Cookout member will be sent to jury behind Claire. In other news, Celebs 3 was announced for February, so that's something to look forward to. Julie told them it was a double, there were no shockfaces, and they went right to business. Xavier referenced Lucius in his speech, and Claire's was also as planned, basically saying if they keep Xavier they're handing him $750,000 and she'll make sure the jury knows that too. Of course there was never a doubt she'd go, and she did on a 4-1 vote, with Hannah the 1. Claire went out without hugs, saying she'll hug them all at finale, and she said "later losers" on her way out. Julie misquoted Tiffany in her exit interview, asking Claire about Tiffany having said she wouldn't nominate a person of color. Actually, Tiffany just ran the roster of names, and it was Claire who said POC in her Diary about that convo, when she said she understood. Trivia: Claire was the last standing team captain. Julie announced it was BB Comics week and all comps would be themed accordingly. The HOH comp was Crash Boom Pow, with seven questions about graphics using six comics action words. Hannah won her first HOH by getting six correct. Hannah held rapidfire meetings, including one with Alyssa to tell her Xavier was her target and she'd need Alyssa to be the pawn to ensure he goes (déjà vu). Hannah nominated them both, and they wore their TEAM KINGS shirts tonight so they made a matched set on the nominee chairs, and Alyssa was surely still thinking Claire's eviction was her doing. They drew veto players during the commercial break, and everyone played except Kyland. It was called Logo, Let's Go and they had to assemble puzzle pieces into a 3-D version of the BB Comics logo. Xavier won that, and quickly. He used the veto on himself, and Hannah put up Kyland in his place. Alyssa was evicted 3-1, with Xavier the 1, and the Cookout achieved their goal of making it to final six, ensuring Black finalists and winner for the first time ever for civilian BB USA. They waited to celebrate, presumably so Alyssa wouldn't hear, but hugs and tears came after Alyssa's pic was grayed out. Julie announced finale would be September 29 and next week would be another double - but you knew all that already. And then the six did their second hands-in-and-up celebration of the season over the closing credits, celebrating their historic win. Feeds came back to celebrations plus Kyland and Derek kind of bickering about the Alyssa vote, as Derek apparently wanted to give her a vote and have Hannah break the tie. Hannah said she wanted to hold one-on-ones since she hadn't been able to earlier, and Kyland began having one-on-ones because that's how he is. Eventually they met up together, and Hannah apologized for putting him on the block. Xavier began gathering up Alyssa's things to pack for her, and Hannah and Tiffany helped with her cosmetics and the like. Season retells kicked off in earnest, the kind of things that are usually shared after evictions but since Cookout had never met as six, they'd never been able to share all their stories. Tiffany confessed she'd been the second hinky vote in the first eviction, which blew their minds, especially Kyland's. Most of them already knew Derek F had been the other one, but that was also confirmed for those who didn't. Feeds went to anipals for their second HOH comp a little after 8pm and returned around 10pm. Kyland won the HOH, his third, and he was laid out on the kitchen counter. He said he'd like to hold meetings tomorrow but maybe have quick five-minute check-ins tonight, like those wonderful speed meetings on his first HOH before he switched over to nonstop talk. Derek was practically in tears on his own, saying he could have had that, he was so close he was visualizing his letter and pics. Kyland met with him and broke down, apologizing, saying he'd wanted Derek to win it but he won by some fluke. He said he didn't want to be the first to take a shot within Cookout. The comp involved maneuvering eggs and Derek said he only used five eggs, while others apparently went through a lot. Kyland confirmed to us that he did not want to win it, and indicated his noms will probably be Hannah and Tiffany but also said that could change after meetings. Kyland started his quickie meetings, starting with Azah in the Have-not hallway to ask if she'd agree to extend their deal to F3, and asked her to think about it and let him know. And he told her he wasn't planning on putting her up, when she asked directly. He also met with Tiffany in the hallway, and with Hannah inside the Have-not room, but I wasn't able to pick up anything concrete from either of those. He met with Xavier in the hallway and confirmed his noms will probably be Tiffany and Hannah. They spent some more time rehashing the season as a group, including the challenges of having to cut their partner/pawns along the way. Hannah hadn't gotten her basket nor Kyland his room as of 1am - I will pick them up and post tomorrow.
